Highly recommend this place. The pies are awesome, their breakfasts, sandwiches, food, everything is delicious and homemade. The service is excellent. I’ve never received bad service here; everyone works hard and are very friendly and helpful. I’m surprised a few reviews complained about the wait times. The reason they are so busy is because their food is delicious! If you have no wait times; that means no one likes the food. Make a choice; do you want to wait in line(if busy) for great food or not wait for food that is average or not so good?

I’ve been to covers Apple ranch many times, I love there Apple turnovers, especially when you get them heated and with a cup of coffee! It has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. I will be back times!

A great place for breakfast or to pick up baked goods. We had breakfast here and it was excellent. Their French toast is wonderful and the eggs and bacon cooked perfectly. My husband loves to pick up a loaf of their bubble bread. They also make great corn nuts! The next thing I want to try is their chicken pot pie because I’ve heard it’s fabulous.

I’ve enjoyed coming here many times with my toddler grandson. The visit yesterday though really was disappointing. The animal area was in great need of attention and cleaning. We couldn’t enjoy the few animals seeing them in such dirty circumstances. The restaurant was busy, but they couldn’t keep up with the customers, causing long wait times. I think with some attention to improvement, they can be five stars again.

Their quiche and apple cider is amazing! I feel so bad for the animals at the restaurant though. They looked malnourished and had no water. It was really dirty. Kind of took away from eating outside. We will be getting our food to go from now on.

I bought corn nuts & bubble breads. They were average at best. We were there at a slow time & only a few other people but the woman working seemed annoyed to be waiting on us. We wondered around to see the grounds. Although the small pens for the animals in the little petting zoo were pretty clean it was disturbing that all the animals, from chickens, goats, calves & pony were on concrete floors and looked miserable.

Purchased the most amazing pie for Easter here! The tri berry is our new favorite pie. It is so heavy with berries and the crust is perfection! Will be back for more next holiday. The apple turnovers are yummy too. Only 4 stars because of price being a little steep but willing to pay for good food.

Great place to stop at if you are on your way to/from the Black Oak Casino. A totally different feel, but definitely more fitting to the country atmosphere of the area. The pies are delicious! The train, playground and petting zoo are great for the kids. My son had his 7th birthday party here and it was fun and laid back. I always buy their unfiltered apple cider made form their orchard apples. They are very friendly and hospitable!

From the pie to the corn nuts, this place is amazing! The kids love the small train that runs year round and the baked goods will keep you coming back for more. I would suggest getting a berry pie for dessert and pot pie for dinner. Great people and even better service.

Covers is one of the best places for breakfast in the Sonora area, hands down. Everything is fresh and homemade, including the awesome breads, pastries, jellies, apple cider, and of course the pies! Everyone that works there is super nice and it really is a hidden gem in our county. If you are visiting, you just have to go, you won’t regret it. Take it from a local! Not open on Sunday’s, just to let you know.

Homemade everything! Pies, Quish Lorraine, meatloaf, sandwiches & so much more. Family run business. They have a mini train that takes you around the property which is great for children. A farm animal area where your kids can see & feed some of the animals. Picnic tables & play area for little ones.

Love the baked treats here and people. The pies are large and tasty. You can sample the fudge before you buy it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice and quiet seating area with some cute things for sale. Just wish the yard was maintained a little better with the animals.

Very cute place, especially if you have kids and are looking for something new to do in Tuolumne County. I went with my husband, mother-in-law and grandma-in-law. Not a huge selection in the shop, but they had a few pies and carrot cake, apple juice and non-alcoholic cider, but don’t forget the awesome FUDGE! My tongue still tingles thinking about the root beer flavor :) Train ride was $ 3 and we went around 2x, nothing amazing but something you should do at least once, you go through a tunnel, see part of the orchard, a pond, and lots of old equipment. The petting zoo is nice with some goats, a cow, and geese. Poor rabbits need something else beside mesh cage on their poor feet though :( It is a little confusing where to get tickets vs. Food but just ask!

Food was delicious to eat. Better tasting than anything we’ve ever bought at a store. We came in for breakfast to just try the place out. Now we plan on coming back for lunch just to have some more amazing food. Denver omelette tasted like real egg because it was. If you’re used to the GMO foods you get at most restaurants, you will appreciate the way food supposed to taste.
