Bama Dogs offers a nice get-away from your typical T-Town Dining. The small, customer friendly atmosphere allows for an enjoyable and relaxing experience. It is very inexpensive and has a broad menu — from Polish style dogs to sandwiches. It’s a very good spot for an after class/work snack. I thoroughly enjoyed my combo meal of 2 Unrealistic dogs(pulled pork BBQ covered dog), 1 Polish style dog, fries, and a drink. The Polish was personally the better of the bunch, primarily because of the excellent hot dog sauce. Though, the Unrealistic dogs were also a southern BBQ treat. Overall it was a satisfying dinner, both taste and price. I would certainly recommend Bama Dogs if you are a hot dog fan like me. Check it out!

I’m glad I gave this place a chance. It’s a very comfortable atmosphere and since it’s a small business, the people working there really care if you enjoy your food. I had the combo with the two Polish dogs & fries. It was excellent, mostly because of the mysterious hot dog sauce they used. I HATE mustard and forgot to ask for them to leave it off, but for some reason, the flavors balanced so well that I actually liked it. That’s a huge step for me in my relationship with mustard. Next time, I’ll probably get the footlong though(it’s huge). The fries aren’t anything special – just crinkle-cut ones you can get at the grocery store. I’ve yet to try«Kuk’s Dog Days,» which is a 5-star Unilocal-rated hot dog place in Tuscaloosa. As soon as I try it, I’ll be sure to compare that to «Bama Dogs.»
