Good bbq, great wings! Loved the sauce on the wings. It is a mix of Buffalo and bbq flavors. Tastes great in the homemade ranch. Also loved the baked beans and collards. Thumbs down on Mac and cheese and Cole slaw.

Came in to watch the final four with some friends. Had a cool atmosphere. Started off with some pitchers for $ 7. Then I tried the bushwhacker, basically an alcoholic frosty(gotta be really healthy), it was delicious. Had a bunch of TVs, all on the game. I will say none of the TVs were really huge or super high quality(a bit of a disappointment when you’re trying to watch college basketball), it was OK though. We had some fried pickles and bbq nachos. I liked the food, hopefully I’ll get to go back and try some more things.

I was here a week ago, and I’m still daydreaming about their WINGS!!! I could eat this everyday for the rest of my life and never get tired of it… that’s how much I LOOOVED their wings. They are so juicy, and perfectly seasoned, and not too greasy like others. I’m still mad at myself for ordering a pull pork sandwich, which was REALLYGOOD, don’t get me wrong… but the WINGSMAN!!! Anyway! I’m from Texas and I gotta say that their special sauce wasn’t for me, but I guess that’s an Alabama thing. The places is really nice and clean, I like how fast the service was, and I love that they carry a lot of locally brewed beers on draught.

Lunch at Moe’s was great. I have had two prior visits to Moe’s and left less than impressed. Yesterday was different. The restaurant was not too busy, probably due to impending inclement weather. I ate the 2 meat combo(4 smoked wings/2 ribs) with fries and banana pudding. The rib meat fell of the bone right of the bone. The meat was tender and juicy. The wings were well seasoned. My only«complaint» would be that there were no bananas in the banana pudding, but it was still tasty. My buddy had the over-stuffed pork tacos and absolutely loved them. The service was friendly and answered all questions posed quickly. This seems to be a good, quick lunch spot for those working downtown or in the mood for a casual lunch with friends. Thanks for a great experience!!!

I went here last Monday for their 50cent wing night. This place had some good wings that actually came out pretty fast. Granted they cook their wings beforehand to get it out quicker. I’ve been here a few times before and it gets pretty crowded on weekend nights. They usually have live music which is nice and they have a decent beer selection, however there are other places in town that have wider selections. Not a bad place to get bbq or have a casual meal. I would recommend for people looking for a solid place to dine.

Stopped in last week on visit to Ttown on my daughters recomendation. Very glad I did. Typical bbq joint décor… one step away from the wrecking ball. Young lady at the counter was very pleasant, even as she broke the news that they were out of smoked catfish. The chicken and Turkey were perfect. Tasty, juicy, and picture perfect. Pulled pork, so good would be overkill to put sause on it. Collards were just right tender. Bannna pudding capped off a great lunch. We will be back.

Good BBQ, good drinks, not so great atmosphere. Every time I’ve been here, about 10, I’ve been bombarded by drunk college kids slurring and falling over. I’ve brought my wife and kids here twice and had two drunk guys fall on my two year old around noon.

I had a gift card for this place, so my husband and I checked the menu online, and I went to place a take out order. When I got there, I ordered a sausage family pack, which they had on the menu online but they didn’t actually have in the restaurant.(I made sure to view Tuscaloosa’s menu online, because I know they vary, but apparently it didn’t do me any good.) So, I ordered my backup plan, smoked chicken. They were out of it. Then, I settled on smoked turkey and three sides. When my order was ready, I picked it up at the counter, checked the bag, and noticed that it didn’t appear they included the buns with my order. They assured me they did, so I left. As I was getting into my car, some guy comes running out of the restaurant with my buns in hand. Okay, I wasn’t stupid after all, glad he caught me. Then, when I get home 15 minutes later and take things out of the bag, they left out one of the three sides. There were a couple of containers of sauce at the very bottom, and seeing them in there before I left, I assumed one of them was our potato salad. So, I was shorted but wasn’t about to drive all the way back. The smoked turkey was good, the macaroni and cheese was pretty bland. I don’t really see the point in mac and cheese if it doesn’t taste cheesy, but. Considering the whole experience was pretty much a disaster, I won’t be back.

Great food! I’ve never had anything that I haven’t loved here! Disappointed in the staff attire and how they are trying to be like hooters. Other than that, great macaroni and cheese, barbecue pork, chicken, collard greens, and banana pudding!

I ate at this place numerous times when living in Tuscaloosa and since moving away have found myself missing it. Great food and a good environment.

This place is pretty much okay. I like the Colorado theme, the wings were okay(not great). I had baked beans and collard greens. The collard greens were the most memorable. The wings sauce could use more revamping. More mayo than ranch or whatever. I didn’t go here in undergrad and can think of 5 places closer and more memorable(mainly, Five). They do offer Gatorade.

Went at night after it had turned into a straight up bar. They sell some sort of ridiculously huge concoctions for a low price to please the college crowd. Skip them — mostly soda and they just look absurd. They had a decent band jamming out, so it was pretty loud and dancy up in there. Fun, but painfully reminded me how many years out of college I am.

Okay, first the positives, the Turkey Sandwich was great, real smoky flavor. The Pork Plate was equally as good in taste without sauce. The BBQ sauce is average, nothing to write home about, or Unilocal.:) A big negative, the sign of a good BBQ joint in the South to me is the quality of their Banana Pudding. Moe’s came in a 4oz cup, had a Nilla Wafer on the bottom, a vaguely banana flavored grey colored pudding in it, topped with a Nilla Wafer on top. No slices of bananas, no meringue. Sadly, being the worst banana pudding I’ve had at a BBQ joint(worse than using store bought pudding mix), I had to give the place a 3 stars. Will eat there again for the meat, not for dessert. Save your money on dessert.

This place rocks. Great pulled pork BBQ and deliciously awesome smoked wings(seriously, nothing like your average hooters or Buffalo wings). If you haven’t had them, you got to at least try their wings once. They usually have good specials, like $ 0.50 wings on mondays. Great bar too, but it’s unfortunately packed most nights now due to them opening up the other side. :(

I had the 1\2 smoked chicken with white bbq sauce, and it was really moist and had a great smokey flavor. I also loved the fried green tomatoes with pickled onions and remoulaude. The jalapeño cornbread was pretty good too. The banana pudding was a little too runny for me. The atmosphere is loud, and would not be good for kids.

As far as banana pudding goes, I’m hooked… they were out of the oreo pudding and my kid was given the banana pudding instead.(Yes, they were out of almost everything when we went… even the beef so I wound up with pork) But, we all agreed– we’d beat someone for the nanner-puddin’…

I always enjoy the variety of sides but really like Moe’s more as a venue. The food is good but the bar & live music are what keep me coming back.

Please read Jaime’s review, and know that is the exact same experience I had. In fact, we had it together. She beat me to the punch on reviews :(. I am however going to give them one more star than she gives for two reasons. One reason is they associate with Maker’s Mark. Being from Kentucky, this makes me happy. The second reason for giving them an extra star is because she’s too critical.

Lunch here was good. Menu is straight forward, not trying to do too many things. Pulled Pork, smoked chicken, smoked wings, fried shrimp and fried catfish are main dishes. They are served either as a platter or a sandwich. Pulled pork sandwich was pretty average, nice portion, sweet sauce, pickles. Not an award winning situation but, I would eat here again.
