Food was ok but felt I did not get a value. One enchilada, wet burrito, and one taco and one chille relleno combo was $ 26.

This place is always delicious… I got the Chimichanga with mole sauce on top… amazing!

Best carnitas in OC. The entire family loves the soft carnitas tacos.

I used to go the original place down in Garden Grove back in the days. And finally got to try this place and the fish tacos are just as delicious! I do have to say 3 bucks for a fish taco is a little steep. Granted they are pretty big, but I would need at least 3 to fill me up. Anyway, the battered fish is still nice and crispy and packed with flavor. And they don’t douse their tacos with that cream sauce like some places. Definitely will be coming back for more fish tacos!

Best fish taco is Orange County. No one comes close. And the hot sauce is AMAZING!!!

Love this place and their restaurant in Garden Grove. Best fish tacos in So Ca! I hope they open another on in Irvine. My kids(all four) love coming here. Try the chicken quesadillas as well!

I wanted to try out this restaurant, and big mistake! What place don’t take credit cards to pay. «Only cash». Food has no flavor, guacamole looks more like sour cream and customer service is terrible! I will never return to this place.

I will NEVER return to this restaurant again! I was there today, during lunch time with a group of students while they ate. The man working there kept staring at me NONSTOP with an evil look on his face! He soon approached me, and tells me «YOUNEEDTOLEAVE, THESETABLESAREFORMYCUSTOMERS» I was enraged that he had the nerve to approach a female with a group of students, and told to leave because I was the only one not eating. I assume this was the owner I was dealing with, which makes it pointless to make a formal complaint. Not only was this unexceptable customer service, but the food does not look appetizing ATALL. I will make sure to spread the word.

I love this place! I would recommend the supreme nachos. The only reason that I gave 4 stars is because the place is too small.

If you want a good fish taco, come here. They have the best fish tacos in Orange County. The salsa bar is small but you can ask for the hot sauce. Only problem is they only take cash.

The tacos here are amazing! Especially the burritos. Every week I come here to get the California burrito. It never disappoints me! It’s carne asada, with fries. It’s so delicious you have to try it!

Probably was not a good idea coming in starving half to death as we ordered way too much food(fish tacos, carne asada tacos and carne asada nachos), but everything was great. The staff was friendly, helpful and gave us free chips! The mysterious«red sauce» was absolutely fantastic, although it could have been spicier for my taste. Will be back to try the camarones de la diablo soon!

Some of the best tacos in oc. The carnitas, shredded beef, and fish are incredible. Just make sure you go early. The girl at the counter likes to leave early and I got there 30 mins before closing and she wouldn’t let me eat inside because she said she was worried more people would come in.

I have been here dozens of times already and it always is fantastic. Some of the best fish tacos around with fresh ingredients. I especially love the shrimp tacos which have a great chipotle flavor but don’t miss the carnitas nachos. I’ve never had anything bad here; actually haven’t had anything that was just average either. The staff is nice and friendly and always fast and attentive. Don’t pass this gem by. It looks just like any average taco shop(only takes cash but is very affordable) set in a normal strip mall. But this is head and shoulders above anything in the OC and ranks up there in the best of SoCal.

I ordered 2 carne asada soft tacos and 1 carnitas soft taco with a medium house made horchata. I really liked the red salsa that I got for my tacos and I really enjoyed the carnitas taco the most. It was cooked so well, that it melted in my mouth. The house made horchata was just as good! Happy to have found a place for lunch near my work!

Los Cotijas serves large tacos quickly. If you go for taco Tuesday, you’ll get a discount. 4 tacos are enough to serve a hungry man.

Would easily be a five star review, but they do not take cc, so knocking them down a star. By far, the best fish tacos I’ve had in a long time. As a recent transplant from NorCal, I’ve been chasing the best fish tacos throughout the state, and these rank as some of the best! Nice, crispy exterior, and the fish is perfectly moist. Not greasy at all either! At under $ 8 for two quality fish tacos with beans and rice, it’s a good deal. Kids had a bean and cheese burrito and a chicken quesadilla(the rolled up kind, the real deal, not the flat kind), and they dug their food too. Skip out on the horchata, at least this one time, it was a bit chalky. Taste was good, but the texture was off. Overall, a nice taqueria I’d come back to again!

After finally finding this place(not where the Unilocal map shows) I was very disappointed in the food and overall experience. I ordered the taco and cheese enchilada plate. They charged me extra for carnitas meat… why? It did not indicate it was more on the menu… but that wasn’t what upset me. What upset me was that when I got the food my cheese on the enchilada wasn’t even melted. It was barely warm on the outside and cold shredded cheese on the inside. The sauce was also a sweet cinnamon tasting sauce. Had the cheese been melted it would have been a decent enchilada. My taco was filled with mainly lettuce, very little meat(which I paid extra for) and lacked flavor. The beans and rice where just mediocre. Nothing to rave about. The restaurant is small and NOT air conditioned, so it was very hot and humid inside. It is not very clean either. There were flying bugs around the salsa bar that I had to shoe away. I will not go back here again.

This place is great, it is my go to for Mexican food if I don’t want Taco Bell. They make great fish tacos, if you can’t decide on what to get when you come here, just get fish tacos! The shrimp diabla burrito is perfect for people who like seafood and like their food kinda spicy. Their California burrito is delicious and not overly done with grease and oil. I’ve had their soft tacos and hard tacos too, they don’t skimp on meat!!! :)))) Ask for hot sauce because it goes great with everything, they have a salsa bar next to the soda machine but the hot sauce won’t be there. So ask!

Updating to five stars because they deserve it. The only reason I don’t come here more often(as in every single damn day) is because I never remember to have cash on me and they are cash only. The service here is the best… they are always so friendly and so quick, not to mention the place is always spotless. Aside the food I talked about in my original review, the sopes here are phenomenal and the shrimp taco is literally one of the best I’ve had outside of Mexico/the Carribean. No joke. The chorizo taco is also good, but it is mixed in with egg(like a breakfast taco)…they don’t note that on the menu, but it’s still delish. The red salsa at the salsa bar is out of this world and the green is a close second. The pickled carrots! Ugh I die over them. Seriously, don’t bother going to any of the million other taco spots in Tustin, trust me… I have been to(and reviewed) nearly all of them and nothing compares to Los Cotijas.
