Long ago I used to eat here several times a month for lunch and dinner. This was my first time back in five years. I noticed the décor has been upgraded. I had lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. The location and ambiance are excellent. The service is good. The prices are reasonable. However, it seems the food has gone a bit more commercialized, missing the authentic homemade quality. It is a nice place for business lunch.

Real good food, at a real good price. Came in for lunch with my team from work. Lunch menu items are $ 15 or less. I had the Angel Hair Chicken Fresco and it was VERY good. Flavorful, and plenty of chicken for a really good price. Bread is served as well. Will definitely come back here to try more from the menu. I’ve heard the Chicken Marsala and Lasagna were very good as well.

I really want to give this place 4 stars but the Spaghetti della Casa dish I had was just way tooo salty. The best plate is the appetizer which could be an entrée in itself is the Pepperoni bread … dip it in the meat sauce marinara … delicious! I was too full at the end to try any dessert.

I decided to go here for my birthday dinner. It wasnt a mistake… but it just didnt feel special. Our waitress/server never introduced herself and basically just did drive-bys. Never more than a «ready to order» or «everything good» all while walking passed. Was expecting a little more of a family style restaurant where the servers would be a little more personable. Didnt learn our server’s name until the bill came and her name was listed on it. Disappointing birthday, but at least the food was good.

The food is equivalent to opening canned food. This has unfortunately become a last resort restaurant. The taste is common. Nothing different than what you would find in a hospital cafeteria. Will I come back? Most likely cuZ of its convenient location. Disappointing Chix Parm and Lasagna. That’s all I’ll say about it.

The BEST Italian food I’ve ever had! The boyfriend took me here last night for date night and I can’t wait to go back. First, we ordered the Berry Prosecco; it was very bubbly and sweet. I’m not much of a sweets person but the Prosecco was pretty good. We ordered Pizza Bread it was good. But then we ordered Spaghetti with meat sauce, Eggplant Parmesan, and a side of meatballs. OMG! Those were the best meatballs I’ve ever had, they melt in your mouth. The Eggplant Parmesan was amazing. I’ve actually never had eggplant Parmesan but this was freaking amazing! We were way too full to order desert but their cheesecake looked decadent. Can’t go wrong with any dish you order here!

One thing I gotta say… olive garden is nothing compared to this place. I’ve tried so many Italian places and I’ve at least tried fettuccine Alfredo(my favorite) from almost every place but seriously this place has been the best place I’ve tried fettuccine Alfredo from. I don’t know what they put on their sauce but its so good that I end up finishing the entire plate when I tell myself I will take half of it home lol.

I took my family here for lunch today and were so happy with the quality of the food. We ordered the pizza bread for an appetizer and it is delicious. I had the chicken Parmesan sandwich and hubby had fettuccini and sauce that the sauce was really good. We will definitely be coming back. Not to mention the service was spot on.

Came here to dinner on a Thursday night. It wasn’t too busy. We waited about 15 minutes and were seated outside. Luckily it was a nice night to dine outside, but even if it’s cold, there are heaters outside as well. They do have a small lot for parking, but there is street parking as well. You might have to walk a little, but it isn’t a far distance. I only peaked inside the dining area for a little bit, and it reminds me of a mom & pop Italian restaurant but bigger. For a Thursday night, they seemed to be slightly understaffed. There was one waiter and one busboy that assisted our patio area. The waiter seemed to be constantly running around. Our bread(fluffy on the side, but crispy on the outside) along with the appetizer we ordered(the pepperoni with mozzarella bread that could be dipped in marinara sauce) came out fairly quickly. Our food on the other hand, took a while longer to arrive. The waiter did say the kitchen was backed up though. For my dish, I got the tortellini Gustavo. It was creamy, yet not too heavy. There was chicken, mushrooms and onions that came with the tortellini. The tortellini was filled with cheese. My fiancé got the lasagna. The sauce tasted similar to the marinara sauce that was used for the appetizer. It was tangy and delicious! He ate the entire dish within minutes! The portion was definitely smaller than most Italian restaurants, and prices ranges from $ 11 to $ 25+ for some dishes, depending on what type of meat that is chosen for the dish. Will definitely come back and try other dishes! Nice to have a local place to go eat yummy Italian food!

We had high hopes for this spot. We were looking for some pizza and a local recommended it. I must say that the décor is outstanding. It has a rustic yet modern feel. The service staff is attentive and the fellow diners were friendly. However, we ordered a couple of dishes that we thought would be great, but they were passing. First off, when they delivered bread to the table, they were dinner rolls. I expected some chibatta bread or something more authentic from this Italian restaurant. So, that made us question what was to come. The side salad was great. But then the bruchetta was weird. The tomato mixture was in a bowl next to the«cheese bread» that they delivered and it wasn’t enough to cover the bread that they provided. Plus, the«cheese bread» did not seem to go with the expectation of toasted rustic bread topped with a tomato/basil mixture. Then came the pizza; they said that it was New York style. We asked if it was thin and the waitress said that they could make it that way. Huh? If it’s New York style, it’s supposed to be thin. There should be no need to «make» it that way. It should just be that way. Although the sauce on the pizza was good, I did not get a New York feel from it. I cannot say that I rate this as a favorite, but it’s definitely better than going to a franchise place like Pizza Hut or Papa John’s. With that as the barometer, I was a bit disappointed as my expectations were high. It is an okay spot for food, but perhaps pizza is not their strongest point.

My mom has been coming here for as long as this place has been around. Every time we’re in the area we have to stop at Roma for dinner! Everything is delicious but you should definitely order the mozzarella bread appetizer(ask for it easy bake so it doesn’t get burnt). We like getting the chicken meatballs or the eggplant sorrentino and the cannoli is your best dessert option!

I agree with some of the reviewers that the service is not always the best, but the food is so delicious that I could never give Roma D’ Italia anything less than 5 stars. I have ordered the chicken parmesan every time I have been there, but I have tasted my friends’ dishes like their lasagna and Pasta Gustavo, and everything is always delicious. And their mussels appetizer in white wine sauce is out of this world.

We come here every so often. Guests from out of town acts request to eat here. Located in the downtown area of old town Tustin. They have their own parking lot but can fill up quickly if the restaurant is full however their is street parking It’s very nice and clean, hostess and servers are always nice. The have their specials upon entering with both savory and sweet items. Their menu is pretty large breaking it up into chicken, veal, fish and other options. They bring out some pretty bomb rolls that’s are always warm. Very good start to the meal. I always order the polpette de pollo. It’s spaghetti with chicken meatballs. The meatballs are very good nice and moist. It’s hard for me to judge the sauce being I am Italian and my grandma makes the best. I do enjoy the sauce though. Cheesecake is homemade which is stellar get it without the fruit topping though!

Great neighborhood Italian restaurant. It isn’t the best I have ever had but I highly recommend having a nice, carb indulgent meal here. Quaint, family style, no frills restaurant that reminds you of home cooking(if you are lucky enough to have that great cook Italian grandma!). We came with a party of 15+ and service was quite attentive. Food came out quickly and hot considering our party size and it being a Saturday night. I had a hard time deciding what to have as so many things on the menu sounded delicious. With the help of our server I decided on the Angel Hair Prima Classe. The sauce absolutely made the dish-creamy tomato and not too rich. My hubby enjoyed his mussels with linguine and we shared a spumoni for dessert. Looking forward to coming back and trying out a few more specialties on the menu!

Roma D catered to our company Trustee Corps Christmas party. The food was beyond phenomenon! We had Caesar salad, garlic/cheese bread, mushrooms(bomb), lasagna, and a few other pasta dishes! Our food was served to us by Mama D employees which were really friendly, and generous!

So my friends and I had a presentation at *redacted company* and after that they took us out for lunch here at Roma D’ Italia! As a group of 12, they combined smaller tables for us to sit as a group. The lighting here is a bit dim, but this would be the second Italian place I’ve seen that similar theme(Pan e vino in Covina as well). They first asked us what to drink, and I believe most of us(if not all) ordered water. Looking at their menu, they have a pretty extensive menu. Pizza, pasta, appetizers, salads(if you wanna be healthy). They also have seafood! They first start you off with dinner rolls. But THEY’RENOTSOFT. NO! They’re .hmm. I don’t know the word for this. They’re not hard to the fact that you can’t bite them, but they’re just right in the fact that the bread has a property in which it can hold itself up. Crisp? No not that either. You have to try it! They’re pretty flavorless sans butter, but add the vinegar and olive oil on the side! Appetizers: Pepperoni bread($ 8.75) Spinach bread I shall group these two together because they were oh so good. The breads were chewy and you could stretch em out for fun! But don’t do that if you’re in company of company officials! They put a good amount of cheese in there. The pepperoni also had butter and a hint of garlic minced inside. They also come with a side of meat sauce in a platter so you can add that on top. It’s carb heaven! For the spinach one, I thought I wouldn’t like it because *vegetables* but all the cheeses and the bread make it so that the spinach accentuates the bread. Dayum. Meals: My friend let me try some of her alfredo tortellini. Cheese filled tortellini in an alfredo sauce, with spinach inside the tortellini. All I can say is «Oh dear» and«so heavy». It was good(esp since me not too much of fan of spinach) but it was really heavy. My friend couldn’t finish it. She ended up liking the rolls so much that she stuffed one with her leftover meal and took the butter. I bet if she had Unilocal, she’d give this a 5⁄5 #carbheaven Penne amore– penne pasta w/mushroom, cheese, onions, in a marsala sauce This was what I had: D It was heavy too– the marsala sauce whyyy. I guess if you were to shy away from the traditional marinara sauce(ie the lasagna) you could totally try these other sauces that they have. This in itself was good, but only for the right consumer. I liked it, it was something I would down again, but I would probably order something else next time. If you like that sauce(it’s more of a liquidy gravy taste, somewhat), then you’ll like this. And then I got full. Thank you for **redacted company** for treating us here and for letting us come by and present to you guys! ~meow factor~

Came here on a Thursday night to celebrate my cousin’s birthday. There were about 8 of us and we came around 7:30 pm. We waited around 20 minutes for our table. There is a specials board in the waiting area so make sure to take note of it before ordering. The atmosphere inside is really homey and welcoming. As for the food, we ordered two appetizers: Pepperoni bread and calamari. Both were really delicious. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the calamari(although I may be a bit biased since I’m filipino.) Both are served with marinara sauce on the side, but to be honest you don’t really need it. The pepperoni bread was flakey and savory, very easy to eat and chomp on. They also serve bread on the table just like many other restaurants. For my main course, I ordered the spaghetti with two meatballs and meat sauce. I was kind of forced to order the meat sauce since there were so many raving Unilocal reviews about it. I’m glad I followed the advice of other Unilocalers since it really did live up to the hype. I’ve always been disappointed with other Italian restaurants because they never have flavorful meatballs. But this place definitely didn’t disappoint! Meatballs were tender, NOT dried out at all, packed full of flavor. The meat sauce was actually robust, and didn’t taste like just pure tomato purée. The portion size was just right as well, not overly huge and not tiny. For dessert, I tried the pumpkin pie and tiramisu. I have to say that I have never been a fan of anything pumpkin flavored because I found it too tart. The pumpkin pie here though is pretty good, not a super strong tart flavor but instead a mellow pumpkin taste, which I find better than a strong, sharp pumpkin taste. The tiramisu was just average. I also got a cappuccino maybe? I forget exactly which coffee drink I got but it was very good. Refer to the pictures I have posted for that one since I don’t remember the name, sorry about that. It was a good end to all the food we ate. They also did a small happy birthday thing for my cousin, which was nice. She got a free dessert with it as well that we all shared. I’ve already been back here since last week, so that says a lot about this place. The cost is a bit cheaper than Olive Garden but probably 50 times the quality of it as well. I haven’t tried their chicken alfredo here yet, but believe me I plan to.

I’ve only dine here for dinner. On the weekdays I suggest arrive early by 7pm otherwise this place does get packed… I know right on a weekday! : VENUE/SERVICE : It’s an adorable homey-feel restaurant. Pretty spacious as well. Only drawback is the parking. But one can always park in the lot across the street where Cream Pan is located if all the side street, restaurant’s back & front parking lot gets full. No complaints on the service thus so far. Prices are fair. Portions are decent. The establishment is clean. Variety of dishes. Pretty good italian food in Tustin. But my favorite is still Mangia Bene in Laguna Niguel. : FOOD : – Italian Mussels Appetizer(4⁄5) – Tortellini Gustavo(5⁄5) — full of flavors & lots of creamy tomato sauce – Penne Amore(5⁄5) – Mixed Seafood Platter(5⁄5) – Linguini with Baby Clams(4.5÷5) — with white wine sauce & angel hair pasta. Very light &LOTS of diced garlic – Eggplant Sorrentino(3.5÷5) – Chicken Picatta(2.5÷5) – Baked Mostaccioli Sigiliano(2⁄5) — lacked in taste & not a lot of sauce – Homemade Rum cake(4.5÷5) I’d still come back here to try their other menu items. It’s close to home & my parents likes it here :)
