Their stuff is okay which is why I gave it 3 stars but seeing as coffee is a big part of their business, most of my review is based on that and I would’ve gave it 1 star if it was just that. What got me to even write this was their steam wand, it disgusted me to see them dipping the brown crusty thing into the coffee. Having a wet towel on hand and taking 5 seconds to clean it after every use is not hard. Also, texture the milk a bit more and carefully, you’d be surprised how much that affects taste.

For a good year of my life, I had an addiction to this place. I would come in every morning for café con leche and a Cuban sandwich or a jamon con queso(ham and cheese). Sometimes I would even get a croqueta or pastel de guayaba(my absolute favorite) — then I gained like 600 lbs. And I had to stop coming. Today I had a craving for an empanada — so I stopped in andI instantly wanted to get a sandwich a croqueta and a pastel. You’ll be happy to know that I held back — instead I had a coffee and empanada! STill one of my favorites for emapanadas, croquettas, coffee, and sandwiches — but if you want a really great pastel de guayaba or something of that sort go up to 48th st. to La Gran Via where you wont be disappointed either. p. s. this is a cash only establishment!

Stopped in for some coffee and snacks during a funeral(of all things). The shop is filled with great choices and even serves sandwiches. I definitely will be back to try the Cuban sandwich as one was being prepared during my visit and it smelled delicious! I tried the Tres Leches postre and was really impressed. Not too fond of the whipped topping but it was good. I like my Tres Leches overly saturated and this one was that way.

We come here for pastellitos and toast on occasion. Used to be a huge fan, but lately the pastelitos aren’t as good as I remember them being. Still looking for a miami-style cuban bakery somewhere in the area(NYC, NJ). Help! :-)
