Delicious bread, delicious coffee and DELICIOUSEMPANADAS. I really do not enjoy waiting so much for food but they do have a lot of people. It’s no surprise why they have so many people. Coming here for a nice simple breakfast was a really good idea. You will not be disappointed with their food. :)

Fairly good pastries and coffee but I’m not a fan of their alfajores, they’re more like a hard cookie. I haven’t tried anything else there yet, may give it another try.

Parking in New Jersey sucks. But the stress is worth it if you’re coming to this place. Great friendly service and a wide selection of original Uruguayan food. The best we tasted on our whole NJ/NY trip. My wife had really tasty canelones, it was the special for the day. I had a few empanadas and some mazitas. We ordered some sanguchitos(small, crustless, sandwiches) for our day trip to the Statue of Liberty. Everything was excellent and I would find this place again if I’m ever in the area. Gracias, estuvo todo muy bueno. Me ayudo a recordar la niñez.

Great little gem of a place. Great spot to sit down with a coffee, pastry, and my laptop and get some work done. Love that they have wifi. I hate Starbucks so I’m glad that there is an alternative.

This is definitely the nicest bakery on Bergenline Ave. Their European inspired Uruguayan /Argentinean breads and pastries are always fresh. They have a nice seating area where I like to sip on their espresso. Their staff is very nice and their tables are always clean. I pop in here often for their Whole Wheat bread.

Probably the best bakery I’ve been too in a while… Ordered my birthday cake from here– tres leche with guyaba… Wow! Amazing! And did I mention that their prices are super reasonable! Had a chicken cutlet sandwich and it looked pretty… tasted great and also was relatively inexpensive.

A little taste of home. All the delicacies and pastries that I had all throughout my childhood. All made fresh daily. The sandwiches are delicious, milanesas, lomito, miga. Also awesome empanadas. Must have and worth the trip! Tho Uruguayan, most of the pastries, sandwiches, etc u’d find there are the same u’d find at a typical Argentinean bakery.

Great service, a wide variety of desserts, both sweet and savory and a friendly atmoshphere. The only bad thing is that they don’t make iced lattes later in the day.

A Uruguayan bakery like you’d find on the streets of Montevideo… go here you will not be disappointed! Their biscochos with dulce de leche and membrillo are the best, really fresh… get a capucchino-perfect combination!

We ordered a few random pastries and all were good…(I’m not sure of the name of them)… We came looking for the Nutella Croissants but they were sold out. Café Con Leche was very tasty. Café Americana was average. Woman behind the counter could have been friendlier… she was rather short, however, it was pretty busy in there.

I love this place! I always buy the little ham and cheese sandwiches they got in the little freezer and ask them to warm them up for me. Super delicious with a cappuccino.

My first solo trip to Union City was awesome because I found this place. Their pasteles are really, really good. We ordered the pasteles with guava as well as the pasteles with beef(sounds weird, but trust me, they’re delicious). I haven’t had the coffee or anything else on the menu, but there were a bunch of people sitting in the restaurant enjoying breakfast & coffee, which looked really good. The service was pretty good, and the restaurant was spartan, but nice. Best part is, this place is really cheap. We ordered a ton of pasteles for a pittance. I will be back as soon as I can.

Nutella croissant and a large latte best way to start any day. Their cheese croissant are also delicious and these«chicas» can bake a awesome cake. Favorite is their peaches and cream with dulce de leche.

Really good Uruguayan bakery! Unfortunately, since I worked relatively close to this place, I gained about 10 pounds. Their breads and pastries are always made daily and always fresh. They also have really good coffee, including expressos, café con leche, and cortaditos. They also have other things like the empanadas, breakfast sandwiches, wraps, and daily lunch specials, too.
