I spend most of my time in hotels for work. Marriott is a reliable and trusted brand. However, this place does not live up to the Marriott brand. I am a returning platinum member. I was seduced by Hilton’s double/triple points, free dinners and adult beverages. Honestly, the up coming merger with Starwood was a good decision, more choices. With all that being said my typical hotel stay is 15 days so cleanliness and comfort are important. I was booked for a 16 day stay at the Residence Inn, Largo and left the following day. The first room was smokey from a self cleaning oven… not a problem at all. The front desk was very kind. New room, 2 bed room suite. Hotel a little loud, no problem, Super Bowl Sunday. The hotel does seem to be a bit of a local hang out, again not a problem. The problem is the satellite was out… No television on the biggest game day of the year. After my second call to report the problem they suggested I go to the hotel next door… this too was fine but not really. Decided to shower and take a nap. The hair in the shower was a problem and so was the lipstick on the pillow. The devil is in the details for people like me who live in hotels. I need to feel like where I sleep is clean. They failed at the details… dirty carpet, dirty shower curtain, soiled couch, and chairs. How difficult is it to replace a toilet tissue holder? Its the lack of attention to the small details that made me leave early the following day. I cancelled that night. The attendant left a message for the manager to contact me which he never did to date. I even walked over to see him and left another message in hopes of getting my points back but he never called(he manages the hotel next door where I moved) Maybe this was just a off day but I wasn’t interested in finding out even for less money.

Picked it because of the location and hotel rewards points! Lol. Pretty clean hotel, elevator took forever even though they have two only was was working. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. Price was decent i believe $ 189 for the suite. Bathroom was nice except for the shower which was missing pieces and had no way of not wetting the floor!

My stay was wonderful. I stayed in a one bed suite with a couch and the kitchen. My room was really comfortable and clean. The staff was really friendly, especially the house keeping staff. I asked for towels and the sweet lady just spoiled me in toiletries and other things I might need. Check in and check out was pleasant. Will definitely be coming back

The check in was fast, every employee we came into contact with went above and beyond! I stayed with my husband and 3 children(ages 7,1216). We were in town for a football game and stayed 2 nights. From the time we arrived staff was exceptionally helpful! The room was amazing, Everything was clean.(The only suggestions i have is keeping an extra set of sheets in the room for the pull out bed, and regular sugar for coffee) The breakfast was a little understaffed, one girl was running and still couldn’t keep up(i will say there was a large crowd waiting to get to the game all eating at once). I wish i had taken names because the staff was what made our stay so wonderful. Everyone we dealt with was more than eager to assist in any way. A maintenance man found a screw driver to open my son’s toy, one of the front desk staff assisted when my oldest son got hurt in the pool). The walk to met life stadium, shopping and restaurants was a little far, a shuttle would be great! We will definitely be staying here again next year!
