* Welcome Experience — Ordinary We came in an hour before closing. Staff was busy with many tasks. Service was friendly but not very attentive. * Establishment — This place needs an update bad. Not necessarily anything wrong with the outdated décor it’s just… Outdated. In very close proximity are BJ’s Brewpub and Red Robin, both modern and spacious with large selection and consistent food, but when you want to show your cousin from out of town where burgers are done right, you go to burger city. Right?(Not so much.) * Service — Ordinary Our server was personable and friendly. She answered questions enthusiastically and made some conversation. It was a pleasant experience. * Food Quantity /Quality /Presentation — Meh. My cousin was visiting from the east coast and we decided to find somewhere we could get a good burger. I didn’t even use Unilocal,I just wracked my brain for a minute and figured Burger City must be the right spot for Vacaville. The specialty there is Burgers right? It’s nearby so I grabbed the keys and we went. We both ordered the California burger. This was a huge disappointment. Here are my issues… The Bread… First, the bread chosen by this establishment for this particular burger is a huge rectangle slice of bread. It was toasted and slathered with mayo. The problem is, the Patty of meat these guys used was embarrassing. It’s a tiny, overcooked, scrappy patty between these enormous slices of toasted bread. If you’re gonna have a California burger on the menu, and you choose to use huge rectangle bread slices, your BURGER(from burger city right?) needs to be the star. See the pic. It wasn’t. The sandwich was probably sixteen bites. About six of them had a scrap of meat in them. If you’re serving a 1/3lb(tiny) patty then please SCALE your bread and condiments to make an edible ratio. I had a big lettuce and tomato sandwich with egg and some tiny scraps of beef sprinkled in. The Patty… We were never asked what temperature we prefer the meat. I like medium rare. This was dark brown which = wrecked. You’re not allowed to call yourself burger city if you don’t even ask your patrons what temp they want the protein. In addition to being overcooked, the Patty was tiny and broken up in a sea of lettuce, tomato, onion and some avocado«spread» I guess? Sure would have loved some sliced avocado on that«burger»… Burger City had a chance to prove to me that I know my burgers when it comes to my town, but unfortunately I’ll be forced back to a chain restaurant for a decent burger from now on. I don’t like going to BJs or Red Robin, but if that scrappy overcooked Patty(which should have been the star of the entrée because burger city) is the best they can do, I can scratch them off my list. The solution? That tiny 1/3lb Patty shouldn’t be surrounded by ½lb of bread and lettuce. SCALE your creation so the Patty can at least have a chance in every bite. Smaller bread, less lettuce and tomato and a smarter presentation. If a 1/3lb Patty can’t be the star, then step up your game to a larger patty. The potato salad was tasty. That was the best part of the dish. The French fries were frozen, thawed and deep fried — boring. Want some good fries? Visit Athenian Grill in Suisun. Yum. * What I’ll remember Meh, nothing really. * What I can’t wait to forget The disappointment of «Burger City’s» star of the show, a sad, overcooked 1/3lb meat scrap heaped on a huge plate of bread, lettuce and tomato. Sadly I’ll have to use a chain for a decent burger from now on!

This was my first time here & honestly only went here because Squeeze In closed. While the service was great & my burger was alright… The appetizer wings were slimy and cold & didn’t set well with my stomach. Not sure if I’d come back again. I did enjoy the garlic fries but the wings made it really hard to enjoy everything else. Mind you we only tried the wings because it was happy hour.

I love this place for breakfast and would be there more often if they served it during the week. My husband gets the NewYork steak and eggs and I get the crab benedict almost everytime unless Im in a mood for the awesome seafood omlet with fresh fruit and rye toast. Where can you get dollar mimosas with your breakfast and a good cup of coffee? Burger City. Our server is always so sweet and professional. We go early because my husband works graves. Its worth the drive from Dixon to us.

Love the burger special! Moved here 2 years ago and found this little gem right away. Been coming here ever since. Mozzarella sticks are awesome but hate the ‘from a container’, cold marinara sauce. Get the ranch instead.

The service was fast and friendly. The burger was good. On my complaints are, I ordered well done and it was pink, lettuce and tomato were not as crisp and bright as I would have liked, and while the bun was very fresh, it was very soft, which is surely a plus for some people, a soft patty and bun, while easy to eat, were not enough body for me. My daughter, on the other hand, loved it, hence, 4 stars instead of 3.

Been stopping in at Linda’s Cocktails which connects to Burger City. They have 4 or 5 tv’s going and a good little hole in the wall place to catch the game. You can order anything off the menu from Burger City and eat at the bar. I have tried their California Avocado burger with Beer Battered buffalo fries. Both were very good. The last couple of times I have ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger with avocado and beer batterd garlic fries. The burger was delicious and the garlic fries are the BOMBDIGGITY!!! The bartender Stephen is awesome. He always takes care of his customers. He actually pours a decent beer without 2 inches of head. Also, you do NOT have to go looking for him or wave your arms to get his attention. He is on top of it always. This dude is awesome. Seriously! They have only a few beers on tap but they do have Heretic Double IPA !! Of course they have the other«so called» mass produced crap beers like Bud Light and Coors lite and the wannabe craft beers Shock Top and Blue Moon. They do offer a couple of other craft beers in bottles and they have«not your dad’s root beer». That stuff is lethal. Tastes just like root beer. Too sweet for this hop head but the lady I was with liked it. Come have a burger, watch the game, and pound some brewski’s. I liked it, you will too :)

Very delicious naked chicken wings, love how they do not put any type of sauce on it and just give it to you with a side of ranch. I think you can order them with sauce but go for the no sauce, u will not regret it. The big plus for me is their oreo milkshake. OMG! Just imagine chunks of oreo in your shake they definitely are not greedy with their oreos and I love that. That is exactly what has me coming back. Every time I’m in vacaville I go there to get an oreo milkshake, go ahead and order it.

Had a quick lunch date with my wife last Saturday. Had the BLT and garlic fries. They did it right. Sandwich was thick, didn’t have to order a side of bacon to go with. The price for the sandwich was $ 9 something, but portion was good. Garlic fries are really good. Probably on par with Gordon Biersch fries. Overall it was good to great and we’ll be back again.

Our order: Appi: Onion rings w/ranch dressing Hubby: Bacon cheeseburger with seasoned fries and coke(upcharge for seasoning) Son: Kids’ hot dog and fries Me: California avocado burger on sourdough with potato salad(basically a sandwich with a burger patty. Service was fast and frendly, food was okay and we paid $ 37 with tax and tip(this includes that $ 1 off any entrée for checking in). I guess if we went to a Red Robin or chain it would be around the same cost. I usually prefer local mom and pop places over chains, but I am still not sure about this place. They did have a bar attached so maybe next time we’ll try that side.

Burger city has friendly staff, good service, and decent burgers. I ordered the swiss and mushroom burger with buffalo fries, and my hubs ordered the California burger. I guess I had very high expectations after reading some of the reviews online. The food wasn’t bad at all… it just wasn’t worth doing back flips over it. When I go to a specialty burger place I expect some special touches like fresh cut fries instead of fries you can get out of a bag. Overall not bad for your basic burger. Not something I feel like I won’t need to go back to again.

Another lunch out with my girlie JK. We decided some juicy burgers were in order for the day. We were not disappointed. Large burgers and beer battered onion rings… Now that hit the spot! JK had the California Avocado cheeseburger with lettuce on toasted sourdough bread. I ordered their regular cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onion and added avocado for an extra charge. The burgers had plenty of avocado. Definitely good portions. Both of us enjoyed the onion rings. With fountain sodas to wash it down. Very satisfying. The restaurant is laid back, clean and comfortable. They were busy, tables filling up quickly. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. She checked on us several times and refilled our sodas. Don’t forget to check in on Unilocal and get $ 1 off your entrée!

2.5 stars. Fries were unbeatable. The burger was so flavorless that not one drop of juice was on my plate when I was done. I’ve had juicer burgers and Burger King. It was so dry and plain that I didn’t even need to wash my hands after I was done. I’ve had rice crackers with more flavor. The only good thing about it was the avacado. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Carl’s Jr. Is much better if your just looking for a good burger.

Eh… Seriously nothing wrong with this place its just your average diner type food. We had a large party and they accommodated us quickly and efficiently. We ordered onion rings which were the star of the show. They were beer battered and delicious. I love onion rings where the onion stays in the batter from bite to bite. The portion was generous. Onto the various burgers and sandwiches. Nothing to write home about here. Smaller portions for the expensive price tags. Basic fixings and flavors. I really have had a better burger and fries at the habit. I would not come back here again. There was nothing wrong with this place just not exciting or worth the extra dough. Oh the bathrooms needed some serious attention. There was paper towels all over the floor and trailing outside into the hallway. Eh.

ILOVE their Swiss mushroom burger that I order w/their buffalo fries instead of their potato salad(which I actually love love love too but I love the buff fries a lil more:). I order as take out as that’s how I found about BC through a previous employer who ordered lunches for our office although I have dined in a time or two. I have to get my BC fix at least every other month or I start to have extreme withdrawals!!! Just had my fix today & of course it was Bomb nomnomnomnoms
