So it took me a very long time to come try this place due to early reviews. I have to admit, i regret that it did! I’m now a weekly customer here. I typically order ph59 and I add 5 wontons to it… Don’t pass on their wontons! Even though they are more Chinese style, I prefer them since they have a thicker skin and they don’t fall apart. Plus no shrimp in them, I don’t like mixed wontons(I don’t know why). But what I really enjoy is their broth. More than half the time I don’t add anything to it except the bean sprouts. You can tell they definitely spent some time perfecting it. I’ve tried their banh mi, super yummy for the price. Bread is soft but it has that nice crispy crust. Thai tea is yummy as well. Place is always clean, including their bathrooms. I have yet to try any of their other dishes but if their as good as all their phở, I’m sure they won’t disappoint!

I love this and its owner. The food is really good And the service is super friendly. Try the Bun Bo Hue. That’s my favorite. And the waiter there always know what I like :-). I try to go here at least twice a month. Sometimes even more.

Delicious Phở(the rare beef is my favorite) — so fresh and flavorful. I’ve only ever taken it to go, and the small size is enough for lunch and dinner! Oh, and the bahn mi sandwiches are really good too. I’ve tried the pork and chicken, and both have had the perfect ratio of meat to toppings — pickled veg, cilantro, mayo and fried crispy garlic or shallots. Yum! My daughter comes with me to see the fish in the dining area, and for the smoothies with tapioca pearls. Haven’t tried any of the other Vietnamese restaurants in town because this place is just so good.

I have been going to this restaurant for lunch and recently took my hubby there for dinner. Consistently tasty food and plentiful portions. It looks like their combo buffet is popular, too, although I haven’t tried it yet. #68 is a favorite of mine :)! Curry dish is good as well as any of the phở dishes. Big thumbs up! Don’t wait for the check at the table, however; you pay up front at the counter.

We came here on a whim and loved it! We used to live in SoCal and the menu prices are about same range and food at the caliber of places we used to enjoy elsewhere. I’m so glad we checked this place out. I got a beef sandwich and a coffee with condensed milk/— I can’t say no to Vietnamese coffee. Sandwich was generous in meat and veggie quantity and proportion. I’ll come back next time!

I wanted to like this place, I really did! I really love a good Banh Mi and I gave this place three chances but was disappointed. I had the Pork Banh Mi each time and every single time I had hard shards of bone in my sandwich. That may not be a big deal to some but I’m pretty neurotic about textures plus, I worked in the dental industry and worry about breaking teeth! My aunt ordered the same sandwich and had the same experience. It’s horribly to bite down on crunchy, solid, piece of bone. I don’t like the chopped meat, I’d prefer it sliced. Also, they pre cook it and let it sit which is probably normal but it bothered me. I had the Phở once and thought the broth, which should be the star, lacked flavor. Overall, I thought the food here was very poor and I will never go back. I have no idea how or why reviews for this place are so good?! EDIT: * It was bone, not onion. I could not bite threw it. It was literally hard as a rock(or a bone).

Who would’ve ever thought there would be a new Vietnamese Restaurant in town?! Plus, let’s be honest… This is Vallejo’s best kept secret. LV Vietnamese Restaurant isn’t like your usual standard chain of Phở. 1, Phở Saigon, etc., etc. restaurants. They offer great customer service and the food is more on quality versus quantity. Although their prices are a little higher than the other competitive Vietnamese restaurants, I can reassure you that everything they provide is quality over quantity– minus the sketchy plaza of course… Brian and I ordered Matcha Green Tea Smoothies with Pearls and our usual Phở with lots of beef in it. The matcha green tea smoothies were blended well to the point where the matcha flavor dominated most of the flavor as opposed to the milk. Also, the tapioca pearls were squishy and cooked well to maintain its freshness. On the other hand, the phở itself was hearty and had a taste that seemed to stood out compared to the other phở spots. The meat they provide is tender and the effort they put into their phở is made with love and not rushed. The broth of the phở was at the perfect temperature not to mention that the noodles to meat ratio compensated for that large puddle of broth. Oh yeah, here’s a fun fact my friends, they have banh mi sandwiches. As a Solano County resident, I could not be more excited that there’s a legit banh mi place asides from the one in Fairfield. Ever since I got fantastic customer service and delicious food, I wouldn’t mind driving far out into the Springs Rd. just to give their food another chance. So what are you waiting for?! Show LV Vietnamese Phở and Sandwiches some LOVE!

This place reminded me exactly of the food we had in Vietnam. The dishes we had were spot on, and it only served our wanderlust tendencies to go back to Vietnam again. The people working here are very friendly, and they give the best recommendations on what to have. This is a little gem!

One of the better Phở spots now in Vallejo, especially because they’re the only Vietnamese restaurant that serve Bahn-mi’s(Vietnamese Sandwiches). Some of our usual orders: Pork or Chicken Bahn-mi(with a side of an over easy egg) Beef Stew Phở-ga Honey Walnut Prawns Clean, fast and doesn’t break the pocket!

I honestly think this one of the best places to go to for a chicken banh mi in Vallejo! Their baguette isn’t super hard and I love how it’s a bigger size than other places. I just absolutely love banh mi sandwiches and this is the place to go if you’re craving for one! Price is about $ 4.25−4.50. I would say the sandwiches are made fresh to order and the ingredients are the main ingredients you would find In a typical banh mi sandwich. Pretty friendly and quick service for the most part. I also thought the venue wasn’t dirty and spacious if you want to bring a big party to eat. Don’t forget this place is closed on Mondays though!

Surprisingly, Vallejo has a number of phở options and I can proudly say that I’ve tried them all now. With respect to the others, I must rank this place as my second favorite overall. Maybe not for their phở, but their menu and service definitely makes it a notch better than the others. Phở: I wasn’t entirely impressed by their phở. The broth was not as flavorful as I like.(I think that Phở 1 along Sonoma still has the best phở. The broth there is such a bowl of flavor!) But this place does serve you a generous amount of noodles. The beef balls and tripe were also served well. Menu: Although not entirely impressed by their phở, I was impressed by the variety in their menu. This is definitely a good place to take a friend who may not be entirely a phở person. Service: I enjoy going to local establishments because it always feels a bit more homie than larger establishments. However, this intimate quality has been lacking in all the other phở places in Vallejo. I was pleasantly surprised to have experienced great and friendly service here. The owner and her constant attention to us definitely made the place feel welcoming. Tip: If your party ordered $ 20, you get a free dessert. Ask for it!

I thought Phở #1 was the best phở in town until Friday night. It was packed at their new location which I understand but one thing I hate is poor customer service. If you want my business, simply say HELLO when I walk in! With that being said, I decided to give LV a try and I’m glad my wifey and I did! As soon as we walked in 2 people greeted us and we were seated. It was super cold and they offered us hot tea right away. We ordered phở with rare steak and meatballs, the won ton noodle soup and fried chicken wings spicy with garlic. WOW! Super fast and flavorful. The broth on both soups was great and the wings were hot and fresh! Their desserts weren’t too bad either and my passion fruit boba a the end was great. Oh and besides great service, this place is CLEAN! Floors and tables free from stickiness and grime. And another great thing… they take cards! Many establishments similar to this are cash only so this is great especially since I rarely carry cash. If there is one thing I can say bad about this place, it would be that they are closed on Mondays but hey, they gotta rest sometime. Thanks LV! See you soon!

Ate here yesterday for lunch and I ordered the«won ton phở» with egg noodle, it came with shrimp =), ordered a large(which was A LOT!) The broth was VERY flavorful. We also ordered the fresh spring roll w/shrimp and it was BOMB! it tasted SOFRESH and the veggies inside were crunchy it just tasted VERY good all around. We normally eat at the phở on springs next to the 99 cent store, we were there on Saturday and I WILLNEVER i mean NEVER eat there again. TYSM

LV Phở and Sandwiches has a diverse menu with limited options in most categories menu: banh mi, phở, rice plates, boba tea, bun ho hue, soups, et al… eats: Bun Ho Hue(sm 7.75) –very little vermicelli proteins: blood cubes, beef brisket, pig feet, pork loaf, etc. *some fresh, some bland/tasteless, pig feet on border of being spoiled –broth flavored by chili pieces, msg. 2ish stars leftover: –had slight stomach pain afterwards, knew it was from bad meat(pig feet) –service better than average, many checkins, never got tea refilled. no doubt checkins was for additional orders only. –décor cheap, cheap seats. –bad meat pulls down average rating.

BahnMí was very good and the vegetables and meat along with it tasted very fresh and delicious! It was so cheap and worth the price. The Phó beef soup was amazing also. It didn’t have that nasty MSG taste and felt very homemade. The broth was just right and the meat was excellent. The shrimp and pork spring roll were alright. I’m used to having noodles in my spring rolls and it was instead substituted with bean sprouts. The peanut sauce with it was amazing. The owner of the restaurant was so sweet and accommodating! Because of her and the amazing food I’m definitely coming back.

So glad Vallejo finally got a Bánh mì place! I ordered the grilled beef bánh mì & I enjoyed it. The spread kept it from being too dry, the veggies were pickled well, & the veggie & meat proportions were pretty good. Some people told me that it’s a bit small but personally, it was the perfect size for me! The only thing I was disappointed in was the strawberry smoothie. I barely drank it because it tasted super powdery & chalky. Overall, I would definitely come back for the bánh mì especially since it’s pretty cheap!

I would rate LV a 3.5 but rounded up. I was excited to try this restaurant based on other Unilocalers’ reviews. I left feeling a little disappointed but hopeful in its potential. My go-to Vietnamese place in V-town is Phở 1 Noodle House on Sonoma, which is still my favorite. LV is more modern and looks less like a hole in the wall. They have a huge sandwich bar area where they prepare the bahn mis. When we arrived, we were told to sit where we wanted. It was starting to get busy around 11:30 am on a Saturday. My BF and I ordered a chicken bahn mi to split as an appetizer, the beef stew for my him and a small phở(rare steak and beef balls) for me. The bahn mi came out relatively quickly. The bread looked like a football shaped bolillo from Mi Pueblo. It was smaller than other bahn mis I’ve had. The grilled chicken was tasty and the other ingredients were fresh. It was just ok as a whole. Considering the price($ 3.95ish), it’s a good value. The entrees took longer than most other Vietnamese places. With phở, it’s usually out in 10 minutes or less. The beef stew came out with a french bread roll(the same as the bahn mi) and he tried to wait for my phở to come out before he started eating. I told him to go ahead after another 10 minutes without my food. The stew had a good flavor, but there were a lot of fatty, grisly pieces mixed in with the meat. More people arrived, and we noticed they were getting their food. I spoke to a lady who seemed to be the owner and she explained something about the cook being out and her husband needing to cook my phở. It was confusing because I didn’t understand her very well. Luckily when my phở came out, the broth was very flavorful and the noodles and beef were plentiful for the small bowl. The condiments included jalapenos, bean sprouts, a lime and some cilantro. I was sad there was no Thai basil since that is what I always put on my phở. I think there are some service issues that could be worked out. It seemed like there were a lot of servers walking around but food not getting to where it needed to be in a timely manner. I’m going to go back and try again to see if time helps this issue. LV is a good value. We spent about $ 20 for two people. I like to support small businesses in my hometown, so I encourage you to try it for yourself at least once.
