Such a cute and delicious thai restaurant… We love the service and the the modern décor. Our favorite food we always get is the chicken Panang, tom yum gong(extra spicy!!)& shrimp pad Thai is the best. This is making me hungry writing this review

Just tried this place for the first time and it was great. I had the Kao Hom Tiger delivered to my office. The beef, rice and salad were all very tasty. I ordered on here and it said it would take about an hour but it took closer to 90min maybe longer. Over all it was good and will order again.

Good Thai for a great value. The place is small but relatively clean, and the staff is very friendly. Atmosphere is quaint but bright, best for lunch or grabbing a quick bite. I had the yellow curry and it was nice and thick with a good amount of chicken. Medium spiciness was on point.

Thanks to Unilocal I found this place. It’s perfectly half way between my staging warehouse(work) and my home. Ordered to go . Ordered the spicy noodle with seafood(the one that has no egg and has tomatoes and bell peppers and onions) . Ordered the tom yum with shrimp . The green curry with chicken . Everything was absolutely delicious . Nothing had an after taste(like some other places in the past) the soup was just a perfection of sweet and spicy but not too sweet like another place I went to a few mo back(ugh). The pasta was spicy as hell but what the heck it said in the menu«spicy noodles » . Very happy and will be back !!!

Place is good. There is not a wide variety of consistently good Thai near that delivers. I found this on Unilocal shortly after they opened and I have yet to be disappointed. They are very friendly when I order and when the food arrives. This place is worth trying.

This lil Thai bistro off of Sherman and balboa is AWESOME. Pad Thai, wonton soup, Kung pao tofu, pad kee Mao… this place delivers both literally and figuratively! Went twice in one week, and I can’t wait to go back!

Ordered from here a few times and it wasn’t bad but today must have been a slightly off day for them. Had the pad see ew, summer rolls, my friend a hot basil lunch special & Thai iced tea w/little cream. The pad see ew wasn’t bad but I typically like my sauce to be darker in color(I guess it gives more flavor?). The rice paper around the summer rolls was a bit too chewy & the medium spice hot basil was diabolically hot. Like inedible hot; like indigestion, heartburn type hot. Now I know that when eating Thai food the spice level is hotter than the typical American spice level but DAMN!!. The food was covered in red pepper flakes as well as having big pieces of peppers already cooked into the dish. The server did ask my friend how spicy she wanted the hot basil & medium spice is what she asked for but the server didn’t explain that the dish is already cooked w/hot peppers and that they add more peppers to it until after she was already eating it; it was so spicy that she couldn’t even taste the food. Bottom line is you should want your customers to not only be able to taste the food but to enjoy it as well. When asking how spicy a customer wants their food, a nice warning about the level of spice I’m sure would be appreciated by anyone!

I love thai food and this place had potential to be good. I ordered thai basil, pad see ew, thai tea, and shrimp summer rolls. Thai basil– I ordered medium as I usually do and it was inedible. No flavor just a gang of peppers and pepper flakes. I told the waitress and she said nothing about the overheating of the dish. I get Thai can be very spicy but that was ridiculous! And if their medium spice is tear your mouth out hot, they should warn the patrons. See my photo, my food was covered in chili’s and pepper flakes. I left it relatively untouched. Pad see ew– The pad see ew was okay but was missing the saucyness that I like and was also very oily. Summer rolls– should of let the skins soak longer because the skin was tough & extra chewy. I think the Thai tea was good but I really don’t remember cuz I downed it in an attempt to try n to put out the flames burning in my mouth. Overall wasn’t a very pleasant experience for my now burning tummy or my taste buds.

This small restaurant offers a wide selection of entrées and appetizers. We enjoyed our lunch and will return. I also plan to share the menu with my office as we are always looking for new yummy lunch spots. One thing that is very important to us is customer service. We know we can both be picky at times and are always cognizant of ordering without offending the chef. I believe we threw off our server today with our requests. We started with the fried wontons. The chicken was tender and wontons crispy. It was a nice start to our meal. I ordered the green curry(medium heat) without the typical veggies(bell peppers, egg plant, & bamboo shoots) and asked for green beans, carrots, & potatoes instead with extra sauce. After letting me know they can accommodate my request but not guarantee the taste, I happily agreed. I received my dish with the spice rack so I may season to taste and was not disappointed. The sauce was flavorful on its own, however, I did add some red pepper flakes for some heat. My wife ordered the prik king with tofu. She also asked for a typical item to be omitted(bell peppers) and was happy with her meal. The dish had a slow burn that didn’t overpower the flavors.

The company my husband works for received a service repair call from this restaurant about 4 or 5 months ago. As my husband is the Lead Technician he was sent to take care of the repairs. The owner was very pleased with the service and had the Chef prepare food for my husband on the house. My husband surprised me and took me there as he knows how much I enjoy Thai food. I AMADDICTED! This is a delivery review. Delivery was relatively on time. Took about 45 – 50 minutes. We ordered the pad kee Mao with beef and vegetarian spicy noodles– both in medium spicy. Holy smokes, it was spicy! This is a place that do not skimp on spice. Unfortunately aside from the spice, there are no other distinct flavors. The highlight was the the beef was cooked nicely. Also the serving sizes are a bit smaller than other Thai restaurants in this area.

Yesterday we ordered delivery from this place and were sadly disappointed. You know how there are a few dishes from Chinese food joints and Thai joints that you always expect to taste about the same at every place? Not so here. We ordered — Pad Thai, Orange Chicken, Pineapple Fried Rice, Broccoli with Oyster Sauce and Sweet and Sour Pork. First the portions were small for what we paid. The Pad Thai was very sweet and arrived cold. The orange chicken was basically popcorn chicken with orange sauce partially poured on. The pineapple fried rice was decent. With the broccoli with oyster sauce I was expecting Chinese broccoli but it was the western kind with tofu swimming in the wrong kind of oyster sauce. The sweet and sour pork was all sauce and vegetables, almost no pork. I don’t think I’ll be giving this place another chance.

I really enjoyed the food here the first time I dined in. I had the beef pad see ew and chicken green curry with rice. Flavors were perfect. Portions were good. And the meat, noodles, veggies and rice were fresh. Restaurant was very cute and clean. And service was great. On Sunday, I picked up an order around 12 something. I knew they just opened so I thought my food would be extremely fresh. But I could tell that everything was old, from last night. I ordered the same dishes as before and added a tom yum soup. The meat is the pad see ew was old, from last night. It tasted dried out, like it was cooked for the third time. The rice was leftovers from from day before. It was not fresh. I could see that it was from the bottom of the pot. Tom yum soup flavor was off. It was not hot and sour but more sweet. Again it tasted like it was from yesterday. Green curry was just ok. Didn’t taste fresh. I was very disappointed in being served old food from the night before. Had I not just driven from San Francisco, I would have brought the food back. I do not know if I will go back again. I just cannot respect an establishment that would serve leftovers.

OK so even though I live in Encino and probably could find a closer Thai restaurant. .this is my new favorite Thai place in the valley. It really is a hole in the wall right next to a Cuban café and barbershop/hair salon. There is minimal parking in front, but if you can find a spot, it is definitely worth it. My sister and I walked in and easily found a table. The waitress came, handed us menus, and took our drink order. We got a free Thai iced tea for checking in on Unilocal… score! We started off with an order of the calamari rings which were great. Nice and hot and tasted great! Slowly, our dishes came out… not all together but once they were ready. I like it that way because you can start eating and then work your way through various dishes. We got the Tom yum shrimp. While I have had better versions, this one wasn’t horrible and I would order again. The Pad Thai shrimp was delicious!!! We also ordered the crispy duck which was good and a small order of white rice which came in the shape of a bear… cute! It costs about $ 45 for the whole meal and there were a lot of leftovers, but I think my sister and I will be back… maybe next time to try out their lunch specials! :)

Tried this place on a Monday around 6 pm. It was pretty good but I’m surprised this place is rated at 4 and a ½ stars! Here’s why: First of all, there weren’t any condiments on the table. We felt bad asking the server over and over again to bring chili paste, soy sauce, etc. The service was good. Our server was sweet. The vibe was a little off. Maybe it’s the cold chairs and all the Orange? Not sure but it’s not a place you go to enjoy the ambiance. Now for the food. We ordered the shrimp rolls(appetizer), pra ram, spicy noodles, Mongolian beef, pepper garlic chicken, and the Thai bbq chicken. The shrimp rolls were tasty. The pra ram was not really pra ram. The spinach was raw and the sauce was almost nonexistent. Took it home to cook later. The Mongolian beef and pepper garlic chicken were okay but lacked a little flavor. The spicy noodles and Thai BBQ chicken were the best out of all 5 dishes. This place is new so maybe they’ll read these Unilocal comments and improve it a bit in the next few months. Overall, if you’re a huge Thai food fan like I am, try someplace else or stick to your usual restaurant. If you haven’t been to many Thai places, maybe you’ll really enjoy this one.

Cute little restaurant! The service is great and prices are fair! We ordered papaya salad, tiger cry, panang, and spicy noodles. The spicy noodle was recommended, but different then what I usually order at a Thai place. My favorite was the tiger cry, cooked perfectly and the sauce complimented it. I was disappointed with the panang, I’ve had better. It’s missing some flavor to it. Thai iced tea was on point! The spice level here, it’s not as spicy as an authentic place, so don’t hesitate going medium or spicy.

Possibly one of the best upcoming Thai hits in the area! I would give 5 stars to this place from the service itself, but the food definitely carries its weight as well. Hui(his family owns the store) is one of the friendliest servers I have ever met. He asked us about where we were coming from on a Sunday night and was surprised that we drove all the way to Van Nuys from Westwood just to eat. He was even more surprised that we came specifically for this place(scouted from all the great reviews)! He was really touched when he found that out. He talked about moving over and starting this store and had a conversation with us about what we did. He seemed genuinely interested and wanted to make us feel like valued customers. We came on a Sunday night around 30 minutes before 10, the closing time. The parking lot is small and the place is squished in the middle of a few stores, so it might be easy to miss. We had to make a U-turn because we passed the lot before we saw this place. Tip: Just look for the store that is entirely orange! The place doesn’t even seem like it belongs in that lot, but we tentatively pulled up in a spot right in front of the store. Gazing in was like stepping into the world of James and the Giant Peach. Almost seemed a little surreal. Upon walking in, we could see that the seats lining the walls all had orange throw pillows. A nice touch that I rarely see in other restaurants. We were quickly seated and given the menus. We took a while trying to decide what to get because all the food sounded good. Our server gave us all the time that we needed. I ordered the crystal pad thai and my friend ordered the tom yum soup. I had never tried pad thai with rice noodles before so I thought I would give it a try here. The food came out pretty fast, barely a 10 min wait. The crystal pad thai came with sliced carrots and chopped peanuts along the side. The taste was just right. The rice noodles really gave it a pleasant texture that is different from the thick feel you would get from your regular pad thai. The serving size was also really hearty. I almost couldn’t finish the entire plate! We also checked in for the free thai tea. The glasses were extremely tall, which I thought really went well with the unique setting. The thai tea itself was a little bit too strong and sweet for me, but it was free so I didn’t put too much weight on that. An amazing hole-in-the-wall Thai place. Definitely deserves every single good review it has!
