Andre’s Burger Shack

The burger gets 4 stars easily. It was very good.
Wife and I were in here for lunch and we were waiting for way way way too long. We are very patient and stuck it out, But it does get frustrating having to sit and watch the disarray behind the counter.
The owner (I think) is very nice but doesn’t seem to have a handle on the place. It wasn’t very busy but the chaos was evident. He was trying to keep everyone pacified while the kids in the kitchen stumbled along.
Like I said, way to long for lunch, but when we finally got our burgers they were fantastic.
I hope the owner gets an actual burger chef because it would be nice to see this little place succeed. We will be back to try it again. Fingers crossed!

Decided to try this place for burger’s instead of billygan’s for once. It took a little finding but once we did we were taken care of. The customer service was GREAT! The food was ehh, better than fast food but just a burger. I ordered Onion rings and there were about 10 over cooked rings on my plate. The hamburger was delivered with no mayo or house sauce at all. My boyfriend was given a plate full of fries though. The meal was fresh and didn’t take too long to get to our table but for the rather high prices, I think I could go to Burger King and still be satisfied.

Good burgers. My Hawaii burger was delicious and the fries are really good. My moms bacon burger was worth eating. The owner is nice. Very clean and tidy. Love the decorations.

Nice but expensive burger, $ 9.99 for a bacon cheeseburger? OK the bacon is a very thick cut of bacon and something I was not expecting. Maybe that’s why the addition of bacon cost two dollars instead of the normal one dollar at most hamburger restaurants. There’s something that I do not like and that is when you take a bite of a hamburger or even worse a French dip sandwich and everything comes sliding out, that’s what this bacon does on this burger. The assembly of the burger is flawed. Too many things on such a small bun and everything becomes disassembled. This does not taste like fresh hamburger to me. The crinkle fries are a nice touch but again the cost just seems too high for this small neighborhood establishment. You should’ve seen the shock of the person behind me when the group of four people ordered hamburgers and drinks and the total came to $ 63. His face went white, stark white like he had seen a ghost. The owner and his employees seem very nice and I hope that their business does well, I just think they need to tweak it some more to make it very successful. Good luck!

Cozy restaurant with tables indoor and outdoor. Andre is very nice and entertaining. Had fire burger and chocolate milkshake. All burgers are good and variety for all types of people. Recommend coming by and helping small business.

I’m a huge fan. Some of the most fresh, delicious food I’ve had around here. The owner was really nice and we chatted a lot about the food and my Unilocal journeys. I loved coming here and stopping here after a long day. A fun place to just sit, relax, and enjoy an amazing burger. I highly recommend coming here! Support your local businesses!
TL;DR: Some of the best burgers around!

Good effort and better than almost any fast food place, just fell a little short. Here’s the lowdown:
Pros: small, family run business with the owner there to make all customers feel welcome. I had the bacon cheeseburger with mayonnaise and ketchup sauce and fries. All the ingredients were fresh; crunchy lettuce, well distributed pickles and onions, and juicy burger. Bacon was nice and thick with a good pepper flavor — some of the best I’ve had for a long time (just too cold).
Cons: I had the impression that the burger patty was pre-​cooked and just taken out of a pan of water and grease, heated up a little on the grill and put on the cold bun. I may be wrong on this but, if the patty isn’t even hot enough to melt the cheese, then it’s prepared food instead of cooked to order. I love crinkle cut fries when cooked properly. Unfortunately, these weren’t that. FOR ALL BURGER AND FRIES JOINTS, IF THE FRIES ARE WHITE, THEY’RE NOT DONE!!! They should be GOLDEN BROWN and crisp!
Here’s what would of made this a solid five stars: the burger patty is pretty good. Just cook it to order by searing it on each side to get nice caramelization on a hot grill. I understand the bacon needs to be precooked. Just cook it to ‘almost done’ and then finish it on the grill with a press. When the patty and bacon are just about done, squirt the grill with a little water, put the patty, bacon, with cheese on top of it and cover with a lid to let them all steam together and become a meat and cheese gooey goodness. Serve it on a lightly buttered and grill toaster hot bun, along with all the other fresh ingredients that you use. If they were to do this, they would turn this out of the way place into a ‘line out the door’ business.
This was a difficult review for me as I felt they had so much potential and came through on as many levels as they felt short. With a little more execution on the details, this could be a best of class burger joint that lives up to the $ 14 price for a burger, fries, and soda.

Not sure what the other review ate here but my boyfriend and I had a different experience first off we walked in there was about a dozen people about half of them where eating the others were waiting for the food. We ordered two burgers and a strawberry milkshake which was just made up of strawberry syrup and vanilla ice cream and our burgers came with a hand full of fries, it came to over 24 $!!! So I was thinking this burger is gonna be good! While we waited I notice the people were still waiting for there food which we have been looking at the menu for about 5min so not sure how long they were there before we showed up but by the looks on there faces its been awhile. So finally they got there food so thought ours would be next about 25 mins later ours came out! The bun was overly toasted kind of stale, the hamburger was those kind that are pre-​made patty which sometimes they are ok not when your burgers cost over 24 $. And my boyfriend got the blue cheese burger it was just the dressing not blue cheese crumbles and super salty! So I would not recommend this place at all! I only gave it one star cause André was super nice!

Fabulous burger! Moist, juicy and very tasty! Fries are crisp – not greasy. The atmosphere is clean and Andre can’t do enough to make your visit fun and enjoyable.
