Overpriced is the main theme I was seeing. The employee behind the counter was friendly with his words but his body language was saying something completely different. Every time I moved from one case to the next he would do some kind of tactical movement to keep an eye on me and one other person in the store. It got pretty uncomfortable to the point I just left. I don’t mind being watched or someone that’s aware of his/her surroundings but come on. Won’t be going back.

I love this place. It’s clean and bright so you can really see what you are looking at when evaluating used fire arms. They also have decent connections to special order. I went in for a weapon that is very new and that i had been told there was a long waiting list for at other stores. They were able to get it in just a few days and I’m happy with the discount a received off of MSRP. Most importantly i was not treated differently because of my gender. My knowledge and needs were appreciated, understood and met. After hitting a couple of big retailers that made me feel like i was at a Good Will digging through bargain bins to get a new full-priced gun, and other gun stores where i was greeted with polite condescension this place was a breath of fresh air. After a half dozen variations of: «So happy to see you little lady! No you don’t want that gun let me show you what I carry. Oh, if you insist, I’m not sure if i can get what you want, but let me sit here and read you all the specs off of this website that is less detailed than the manufacturers website which you’ve been studying for weeks.» I was delighted to experience the opposite. The sales person ad D.G.S. showed me the closest thing he had to what i was searching for, researched what he could order and offered to answer any questions or concerns I had with polite respect. Keep in mind Discount Gun Sales is not a place to get cheap used guns. The price on the used pieces I viewed were average, but they offered a very reasonable discount on the new and specialty items i ordered which was roughly equivalent to the best deals I had found for the same items online and a handful of percentage points better than i expected to do locally. Most importantly this was done with a service and respect i would have been willing to pay a premium for, after my experience elsewhere. As long as i live near Clark county I will never shop any where else, and I will send every woman I meet who is gun shopping to THIS store.

Terrible service usually. I have purchased several firearms here in the past. I purchased 2 guns here, brought a friend who bought 4 at once, another friend who bought 1, and my mother who bought a shotgun. Discount Guns??? Where? EVERYTHING is overpriced. And jumped on the gouging wagon during the Obama scare. Most of the staff and I mean most. Will not talk to you if you do not look like you are getting a firearm. And when they do talk to you you are treated like you know nothing. Apparently all gun experts. I have even overheard sales people quote incorrect information. Unless there are big changes there I doubt ill go back anymore.

This review is for the Discount Guns on Mill Plain in Vancouver. In the past six weeks I’ve spent over $ 800 at this location. Jake is excellent, in fact I have to say that all the employees are very friendly in the store. I was very happy with this location up until the past few weeks. The stores name is DISCOUNTGUNS, yet there are no discounts to be had at this location. I understand basic Supply v Demand, however when a business has the word«Discount» in their name and they are not offering any discounts, even to proven customers I take umbrage with that, especially when other places of business are selling the same products for less. I wrote DSG via their website and explained my position. Nobody ever responded. I’d love to start buying there again, but until they start living up to their brand promise I’ll take my money elsewhere.
