I really wanted to love this place. So much potential. So, as far as I can tell it’s a one man show. There was a nice lady who took my order, but that’s the only time I’ve seen anyone other than the gentleman who sat me, cooked for everyone, delivered, filled coffee… ext. just him. So I won’t be holding the time it took(about 20 mins) to get my breakfast. I went with«the mountain». It’s pretty bland. Could have made it at home. :( No pepper on the table. And when I asked for some chocolate for my coffee I was told no.(This is a full café, with Mocha on the menu) Also, I found the applesauce too watery and tasteless. Sad that I left a 3 star, but I just can’t justify more.

This place is probably one of the best cafes I’ve been too! I’ve been here a few times, I always order soup and panini. I’ve never been disappointed. I’ve taken a few friends here for lunch, they all loved the food. The staff is always so friendly. The prices are good, food comes out quickly, and is always delicious. Great place for lunch with friends.

Had the breakfast sandwich and was pleasantly surprised! Not your typical breakfast sandwich… A homemade tasting bread with high quality ingredients that you can taste with every bite. My first trip here and definitely not my last. I read on Unilocal that they were known for their Chicken salad and they brought us over a sample! Sooooo good! Atmosphere is quint with antiques from the 50’s and 60’s and the sounds of wartime music. Can’t say enough and excited to come back.

Highly recommended! My first day, in ANY new city is always spent exploring the downtown area in search for the most«local» restaurants, cafés, etc, and this morning in Vancouver WA(Portland suburb) I stumbled upon this pearl, within 3 blocks from all the cool stuff downtown. Coffee(average house) is $ 2.25 w free refill(s).(Ask for Rachel. And tip well.)

Simply THEBEST chicken salad around. Frankly, all their sandwiches are superb and, if you catch them on a day when they’re serving their Hungarian Mushroom soup, do not pass it up. It is heaven with each bight. Aside from the food being great, the staff is extremely friendly and the atmosphere is friendly, warm and inviting. Good for a cold winter day and also a good stop on a nice summer day too.

Very quaint, adorable restaurant off of Main. The inside is welcoming as well as the people working there. The music was definitely one of my favorite aspects, they play music from the 50s &60s. Really cute little place.

If you want microwave heated Costco food, this is the place for you. The service was subpar with a «nickel and dime you» attitude from start to finish. Even though they have outlets at every table, they will rudely tell you you can’t use them. If you share a meal, they will charge you extra. If you substitute anything, they will charge you extra. If you use the bathroom, you better be small or you won’t fit through the door. And of course, the quality is poor with stale salad toppings and mayo galore.

Good solid breakfast food. The potatoes are well seasoned and crisp. Bacon is delicious and they may have some gluten free offerings from the bakery, too.

Went to this place for lunch the 2nd time, and loved it both times! One reviewer that commented on the ‘drab and outdated décor’ isn’t getting it — Rosemary Café has an ambience that is reminiscent of a vintage café, complete with music from the swing-era, so while we dined we heard the music of Benny Goodman, Anita O’Day and the Andrews Sisters. The place is spotlessly clean, and our server was fast and friendly, even though they had a packed house by the time we left. I believe it was the owner that made a couple of rounds to make sure everyone was happy as well. Specifics about the food: My date and I both ordered sandwiches, and they were made-to-order, STACKED and yummy. I got the ½ order with a Garden Vegetable Soup, and the soup was clearly made from scratch and DELISH. The tea menu was great — I went with Earl Grey and liked their own blend so much that I ordered a canister to go. We were full and passed on their desserts, though they had some frosted chocolate cookies that I am still regretting we didn’t nab for later… Well, we’ll just have to return!

My husband and I went there for breakfast this morning — even though we live locally we didn’t know this place existed and we were super excited to find it as Vancouver lacks small breakfast café’s like this. We split a scramble, added an egg and asked for our sausage in it. When breakfast finally came a half an hour later there was no extra egg, the potato’s were cold and the sausage was on the side. A party of 6 had come in after us and ordered after us but got served first. We were never offered a refill on our coffee or checked in with to let us know that our food was on the way. We tried to catch the waitress but she disappeared on break and everyone else was busy. Our bill was never brought to our table so we sat there even longer until we got up and got in line. Very disappointing — we had high hopes of a new breakfast hang out! I gave it 2 stars because upon request they removed the charge for the extra egg and through in the coffee. And … the scramble was good. Try it again? I don’t know — maybe.

The Monte Cristo is to die for! My whole office counts Rosemary’s as our go-to breakfast spot, and we’ve never been disappointed. Yum!

I had a great experience at Rosemary Café when I was looking for somewhere nice but not super formal to go for a quick bite(and take out lunch!). They are full service and offer to go food as well you can pay for at the counter. The frosted chocolate(marshmallow surprise) cookie was divine — and so was the pumpkin scone. I enjoyed an Eat Your Veggies take out sandwich with Tomato bisque side soup and am so glad I stopped in to this café. I highly recommend you stop by!

Great Food. I recommend the spinach artichoke panini. Small and nook like, you can easily become a regular here. The only thing I would change is to make it open on Sundays!

The menu is small, simple, and delicious. Great old time atmosphere and very friendly staff. I always end up buying a cookie from the display case up front. If you see a chocolate one with icing it is filled with marshmallow cream and is ULTRA tasty.

I showed up at 10:25 and was denied breakfast even tho it is served until 10:30. He gave me a lame excuse, they were slow too. I replied«really your going to deny us service»? And he proceeded to be rude and snooty about it. What he should have said was that he was too lazy to make it. If it says served until 10:30 you should honor that regardless. Most businesses stop serving at the exact time it says. My money is going to support another business from now on! Went to City Sandwich and they served us breakfast even tho it was 10:31 and they stop at 10:30. Great ham egg and cheese on rye with guac. Yummy! So much happier now

I went to Rosemary’s yesterday with a friend of mine for lunch. I liked the ambiance of the quaint café. The menu had many seemingly delicious items — may have to go back and try more soon! For lunch I ordered their infamous Chicken salad — on the menu it said it was the best chicken salad — and after trying it out, I’d have to agree 100%!!! I loved the cranberries — the texture was great and the taste was heavenly! I was taking my time eating the salad, because I wanted to savor the moment :) I also had the clam chowder — wonderful as well! Creamy and it seemed like it may have had some dill in it, which added a nice twist to it. Will definitely go back soon to try out more of their food items. They have breakfast as well, but my friend and I missed the breakfast time cut off by a hour.
