Stopped in here with a friend after walking on the waterfront. We shared a breakfast burrito and a delicious dessert called a peanut butter chocolate stack. We also got Italian sodas. The breakfast burrito was fairly tasty. It has hash browns in it, which was a new things for me. It took awhile to actually get it and when I went to check on it, she said it was still on the grill. Came out hot and ready to share. The dessert had a layer of crispy deliciousness in the middle that I wish was more of. It was a little tough to cut because it was such a thick dessert and kind of hard, but it was worth it. Again, share with a friend. We each had an Italian soda with no whip cream and no cream in it. They were the large so 20 ounce. Just the two drinks was almost 9 dollars, which I guess is common, but without all the extra fluffiness, it seemed a little steep. They also came out not terribly cold, so we wondered if the seltzer was actually not kept in the refrigerator. We would go back, but we would take our time before ordering this time. We felt a little rushed to order trying to figure out what we wanted, and the entire time we were waiting for our burrito, my friend lamented that had she known they serve sandwiches, she would’ve ordered one. We saw this guy walk by with his sandwich and it looked so good. So we might come back to try that sometime.

My granddaughter from Michigan and I went to a different coffee shop everyday during her visit and we both unanimously agreed that Savon was the! place to go. Our coffees were fab and the ambiance was warm and friendly. Parking can be a real challenge but worth the hassle.

I stopped by after my meal for some ice cream. I asked the nasty brunette with to much eye shadow on about the ice cream and what was a good flavor. She responds(I don’t eat ice cream) and then looked at me like I was an idiot. So I repeat myself what’s a good flavor? What do ppl buy. Once again she responds I don’t eat ice cream, then the owner comes by and says I only hire girls who don’t eat ice cream and laughs it off. Well by the looks of things the brunette was eating alot of something from there .in any case the ice cream was okay the customer service was crap! Don’t go! You’re better off spending your money else where!

Cute little place to stop by after walking a while by the waterfront, although it was my first time and very last time. The staff/owner was very rude & was not inviting at all. She looked offended that I had a stroller and baby with me. After I purchased some icecream she told me «don’t ever bring outside drinks or other coffee from other coffee shops in my store! I just looked at her caught off guard and was offended that she would even say that to a paying customer in such a loud rude tone. I wasn’t planning on drinking my almost empty Starbucks drink, but since there isn’t a garbage outside her door what was I supposed to do? Throw it on the street? It was very rude and unprofessional for her to approach a customer in such a cold loud tone, especially since I was buying icecream. She was very loud in my face that she didn’t even hear me ask her for a icecream scoop in a waffle cone. She scooped up icecream and threw it on a foam cup and yelled that as she handed it to me… After I paid, Once I sat down to have my icecream with some friends, she glared over at us more then 3 times because I was also giving my baby some of his baby food. It was a very unpleasant experience and I will never be coming back to support a local shop for this kind of attitude.

Came here today after my walk! Cute, cozy coffee shop with great varieties of hot and cold sandwiches, wraps, salads, ice cream, crepes, pastries, snacks, protein bars, protein shakes, smoothies, coffee, mimosas, wines and beers! Lots of options! Perfect on a sunny day! Big portions, cheap prices! I ordered the Greek salad And turkey wrap! Very fresh and delicious! Will be coming back!

Charming, peaceful space to enjoy delicious coffee and read, study or catch up with a friend. The service is always friendly, and there are plenty of places to sit, including comfortable couches or window seats with a peek at the Columbia River. This is a great stopping point if you’ve been walking on the impressive riverfront walking trail and parked by the interstate bridge – it’s about a three mile round trip with stunning views. If you park near Savanos, just know that it’s street parking only and a little competitive – this area gets busy and parking is limited. The menu offers a lot of choices and the baked items look tempting. I ordered my first salad here and enjoyed the fresh, crisp greens but not the chicken, which after eating mostly organic, grilled chicken, seemed rubbery and synthetic. I’ll order salads again, but I’ll forego the meats.

PARKING: Entirely on street, I think. Not bad though. Not a super busy neighborhood, from what I could see. ATMOSPHERE: I was prepared to hate this place, based on online pics and the expected neighborhood character. I was surprised. Not that bad. Some of the tacky truck-stop décor I saw in online pics was gone or scaled back. It’s an L-shaped space, with the counter in the middle, which creates two sides and allows for two different moods/tones/atmospheres. There’s a TV on one side. I didn’t wander over there, but it looked more homey(I think I saw a couch). I was puzzled that people said there’s a river view, but yeah, if you pick the right stool at the south-facing counter, there’s a river view. Music was oldie hits, but decent IMHO(e.g. Gerry Rafferty’s Baker Street). But then the music stopped, and all I heard was the TV barely bleeding over to my section. Weird. A few minor finishing touches were off. Random example: Ugly ratsnest of power strips and mismatched wires feeding the tacky neon signs(because, you know, it’s important for passersby to know that this establishment serves bud light, a rare brew that one can’t get just anywhere). If the weather’s nice, I suppose you could go down to the river or enjoy the neighborhood. More residential development than I expected, pedestrian friendly. SERVICE: Good. It was a slow time though, so I don’t know what might be typical. I wanted decaf, and the vacuum pot ran out before my cup was full. She offered an americano, which I thought was nice(assuming she wasn’t going to up the price) but it wasn’t a big deal, so I said she could top it off with regular. FOOD: Starting with the positive, so I won’t sound like a total jerk: Everything was fine. Nothing was really objectionable or inedible. However, I could do better at home. My breakfast sandwich included a foamy homogenous egg product, as if it was from a sysco carton or something. The croissant was evidently microwaved, which is always a mistake(the inherent texture of a croissant is destroyed by microwaving). Coffee cake was gummy and too delicate(I know, weird combination) like a packaged grocery-store coffeecake that was nuked. A couple other minor gripes that I won’t detail. But again, I wish to emphasize that nothing was gross, nothing was nasty… but nothing that excited my mouth. Was the coffee good? I don’t know. That’s not my area of expertise. To my palate, 90% of the coffee I’m served is fine, with the other 10% a mix a great or garbage. PRESENTATION: Cute and colorful, but not so ridiculous that it was clownishly undignified. Coffee was in a paper cup with lid. Umm… okay, that’s a whole post on its own, so no further comment. PRICE/VALUE: Sorry, I just stuffed my change in my wallet, so not sure what I paid. I do recall my croissant/egg/cheese/meat-of-my-choice sandwich was four-something, which is less than I’m accustomed to paying. I think my sandwich + coffee cake + drip coffee was like $ 8ish. RESTROOMS: As others have noted, way above average. This is not a place where you’ll face that dilemma of wondering if you should use theirs or wait until you get to your next stop. Right next to seating though, which is unfortunate. OVERALL: Lots of pros and cons here. On balance, a positive experience. I may never be in this area again, but if I am, I wouldn’t hesitate to stop in.

Cute little place. Perfect for breakfast and lunch! Good food and very friendly customer service. Place is clean and well kept. Coffee is really good! Nothing fancy but still delicious! Only thing I didn’t care for was the place was kind of smoky from cooking. Not sure why that is but it made me smell like food all day lol but other than that perfect place to go after my morning jog :)

Hmm disappointed. Cute place. Nice vibe until the people talk to you. I said this was my first time coming in, you would think they would be nicer. However the lady ditched and said I’ll leave you to look at it. Then the other lady finally came out and asked if was ready and I gave my order. Then I asked what kind of Hard drinks did they have as I had seen the mikes hard lemonade sign. The girl then replies the soda list. I then hinted to the signage and when getting it the other lady says rudely«Card her». Not to mention the lack of basic conversation, the food is adequate but you guys get a crappy rating for your customer service. And I know you guys had it in you to be nice because there was a day’s difference to your recognized clients you obviously see normally after I was served.

I was amazed when I first walked in. Cute little coffee house with coffee, wine and ice cream– what could be better? Over all I was pretty dissapointed. They took our order broken up, so my friend had to wait to even order till mine was done. You would think since it was only us in there at the time everyone’s drinks would be ordered and made together. It was just awkward having a one drink transaction at a time. Our coffee was way too hot, suprised the milk wasn’t burnt. My friend asked to pour it over ice and her response was«well that wouldn’t be very good.» instead of trying to satisfy the customer and fix it, she just poured his steamed milk drink over ice… Will not be returning.

Loved this place. The crepes are wonderful. I ordered mine fruit only… light and so good. Everything else that our family ate was also great. But better than that – we stopped in for ice cream and a crêpe one night, my husband and I. His phone slipped off his hip into the couch. The owner FOUND it and saved it for us to come back for(great excuse for more crepes for ME!) The place is lovely, appointed beautifully, even the bathroom rocks! I mean it rocks! The furniture is COMFY and the service from the owner is amazing. Thanks, we’ll be back!

What a gem this place is. I had an iced Carmel Macchiato and a waffle cone with their blackberry ice cream. My wife had green tea with fresh strawberries. This was a great top off to a beautiful day. Service is awesome and very accommodating. They have great seating with outdoor seating as well. The place is right across from the Columbia river. Beautiful!!!

This is a very nice little café with a lot of space for seating from tables and chairs to couches with a view of the big screen tv. There is also outdoor seating to enjoy the wonderful summer weather! This great little place has a lot of variety. My favorite drink is an iced dirty chai(chai tea latte with a shot of espresso). I didn’t see it on the menu, but when I asked if she could make them the person behind the counter enthusiastically said ‘of course!‘ The food selection is vast for a small café in a small neighborhood. I saw a cinnamon roll with almost as much frosting as the roll itself that looked amazing. Then she offered to warm it up. Heaven in my mouth! My friend had a panini and with how fast he devoured it, I’d say it was pretty delicious too! On a follow up trip to investigate the sign outside that promised ice cream cones, I found a very nice selection of flavors that could be in cones or bowls. I had wild blackberry vanilla in a waffle cone and my friends had chocolate and salted caramel. It’s so nice to be able to get an actual scoop of ice cream within walking distance of home! I will for sure be going back again and again!
