Lori is the best!
She did very complex, multi step coloring of my hair, that turned out sooooooo beautiful. People keep complimenting me!!!
She is definitely going the extra mile to perfect her art down to small details. I’m so glad I found her.

Came in today for color with Lori. It might be a little too soon to write a review but just wanted to express how happy I am as a returning client. As always, she put her little magic into my hair that needed much love and a refresher. She is quite amazing! Love her personality and just easy to talk to. Oh and her shampoo-​job is amazing. I think I fell asleep. :) I highly recommend Lori to all you ladies! No doubt about it.

I went to Lori to get a cut and my ombré refreshed/​lightened! My stylist was booked for a month, and I had a last minute vacation, so really wanted to get my hair done. Based on the reviews, I felt that Lori could do the job.
When I met Lori, she was easygoing and very nice. I explained that I wanted to lighten my ombré and wanted the color to be very ashy. I also showed pictures of colors that I did not want, and showed examples of what I was looking for. I got a little nervous when she was foiling my hair because it looked like she was giving me traditional highlights, but she assured me that she was only placing the colors on the bottom. After my hair was done at the salon, it looked fine since she had styled it and I couldn’t really see the true color.
Next morning when my hair started to flatten, and I finally saw my hair in real light, I realized that my ends had red tones (which is exactly what I did not want), also instead of getting ombré color, what I got was uneven looking highlights that looked like jagged stripes on my head.
I was mortified. I immediately texted Lori asking her how I can cut the warmth in the ends and sent her a picture so she could see it for herself. She agreed that it was warm and that I could come in to get it fixed. After the text from Lori, I also notified her of the uneven highlights and sent her a picture. She gave me some times that I could come in, but by then, I didn’t think she could do anything to fix my hair, considering that she messed it up in the first place.
I told her that I would just get it fixed by my old stylist and asked for a «partial» refund since I know she spent her time and energy. Then I get a message back saying how she is sorry that I am not happy but that she cant take back the hours she spent and to have a great weekend! And wishing me luck with my old stylist!
I paid $ 240 and simply asked her for $ 90 back since the color was $ 150, the cut was $ 50 + $ 40 tip. She ended up refunding me just the $ 40 of the tip, but my hair definitely does not even look like it was done professionally! I am sure other people have gotten great service, but unfortunately for me that’s not the experience that I had.

Some people are talented by nature, others through years of experience. Lori is both. She gave undivided, personalized attention and created a beautiful artful hair color and style. I’m so grateful and am loving the new do! Thank you, Lori!

I gave Lori a try after reading her reviews on Unilocal and I wholeheartedly agree with all of the other reviewers. I went to Lori this past weekend to do a blonde balayage and I cannot be more pleased with the outcome. I love how my hair turned out!
I am generally pretty nervous to let another hair stylist touch my hair as I have had the same stylist the past 10 years but I am so happy that I found Lori! She is such a sweet lady and very friendly. :)
I also really liked The Salon which is the name of the place that she works at. The owner, who is a sweet old man by the name of Vincent was so warming and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back here for future haircuts as the price is very reasonable.

Lori has been my go-​to colorist for a year now, and it’s been a wonderful experience! I originally came in to see Lori at Killer Hair because I wanted a light brown-​to-​blonde ombré and ever since then I’ve been coming back. I naturally have dark brown hair, so transitioning from dark brown to basically blonde was a scary process but I was incredibly satisfied with the results (I’ve posted two photos).
Also, I have very curly long hair, so I’ve had my fair share of hairstylists that have felt overwhelmed and distraught by my hair, which as you can imagine doesn’t leave room for a good salon experience. However, Lori wasn’t even phased by my unruly hair and knew exactly what to do.
Overall, as long as I find myself in LA, Lori will always be the person I go to whenever I need a color change, a cut, or some hair love :)
P. S. if you’re worried about pricing, don’t be because I’ve always thought her prices are fair (and I’m a frugal college student so that says something)

I’ve been coming to Lori for about a year now.
First came for a cut and balayage — got hooked ever since!
I’ve returned for a partial highlight a few months back & most recently for a cut and full balayage color.
Lori is FAB — from scheduling an appt, to ease of communication, her personality and her services — she’s absolutely wonderful. During your pre-​cut/​color consultation you can show her what you want with photos, explain the shades/​tones you want to see, what you don’t want to see, how much length you want to keep, etc etc. Not only does she listen AND deliver… but she’ll also help you out with advice as to what would look good on you — for your hair type, skin color, and maintenance.
After the color application & wash, her hair gloss treatment is magic. I try not to wash my hair for a few days after the treatment since it literally leaves your hair feeling like silk, keeps your locks shiny and your new color/​s bright.
Her blowouts are awesome too! Anyone who’s ever had one knows the terror of anticipating getting your scalp burned or too much heat or even just a mess of curls on your head… but Lori is a pro at giving you the final finish to best reveal your new do (cut & color or whatever you have done).
Nothing beats the feeling of loving your new hair & Lori always makes sure that you leave happy.

I have black thin/​ish Asian hair. Lori knew how to work with my natural color to lift it progressively, keep it healthy, and work with the thin weight of my hair so that it fell the way that I wanted and kept it heavy where necessary so that it doesn’t get frizzy or fly away.
