Cool music venue spot — randomly came upon it was we were walking around after Wurstkuche! They do charge cover, but since we got there right when it opened, and was just interested in drinks, they let us in, and we left before the show started :)

Fay is the best bartender ever! Ask for her. Small, intimate music venue with a very good lighting and sound system. I’ve seen Teresa James and the Rhythm Tramps here twice on Saturday nights and loved it. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is the menu is fairly limited, the food is just so-so, and if you don’t make a reservation well in advance you’re screwed for seating. There’s not enough tables(nor restrooms for that matter) for everyone so it quickly becomes standing room only especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Street parking was easy. Reasonable cover charge considering the talent.

Amazing music happening in this place. I love the no judgement personalities. Truly best $ 10 ever spent to see Ultra Love.

Came to WitZend on a Wednesday night to watch my friend and her band perform live. The atmosphere was lovely, everyone was interacting with one another, and the bartenders were really cool. They had live music, comedy, and a magic show all in one night. I look forward to coming back!

This place is awesome because of the people that plays there. My girlfriend and I attended the Duo Del Sol concert and had a blast. Its a cozy place with live music while they serve wine. Definitely would go again.

Wife and I went out for a cheap Valentine’s date($ 10 each online) and it turned out great! Went to WITZEND in Marina del Rey to support a friend’s side project(Matt Phairas of the Stone Soul Band) called Uninhibited Love Orchestra. Concept is 70s live karaōke music featuring a 17 piece orchestra(consisting of a rhythm section, 2 keyboards, brasses, strings and 6 singers). The presentation was great — everyone in 70s getup and pretty much in character. Among the hits hey played were Wing’s Silly Love Songs, Spiral Staircase’s More Today Than Yesterday. The musical arrangement sounded lush and full. We were pretty impressed and really enjoyed ourselves. The club reminded us so much of our old coffeehouse/entertainment. We came out a bit too early before Facebook came out. Word of the existing place could have been easily spread around. But I digress– WITZEND has a full bar, delicious pub grub(burgers, pizza and the like) with a selection of beverages and mixed drinks courtesy of very competent bartenders. My hats off to the stage crew. With only a few minutes of setup for a 2 hour show, the lighting and the acoustics was perfect! The overall look of the restaurant is hip but not pretentious. I very much recommend WITZEND in my list of small to medium size show venues.

The Witzend is what you think of when you think of an LA «trying to make it» music venue. $ 10 cover is a norm there. The speciality drinks are all about the same at any bar… just with a different name. The space was surprisingly cool when I thought it would be really hot. A consistent drip on my arm from the condensation of the AC duct let me know that the air was on full blast. The headline singer(Tarra Layne) was very talented and reminded me of Olivia Wilde if she grew up in Inglewood. There was a guy groupie for Tarra who was so enthusiastic that I considered killing myself on multiple occasions. At the end of the night my group got great seats at the bar and was well taken care of by the bartender. Overall it was a great experience and I would come again for some live music.

The busboy there is crazy awesome. He was cleaning up the drinks… and then he gets up and raps on their stage just after… and once he was done on stage, he gets back to picking up the drinks. I give great recognition to him! threw me off, but dang THATSAWESOME. Goes to show he got talent and he can multi-task. Might I add his performance was good! place is nice, very cozy. and everyone is just very nice, welcoming, and down to earth. First time there, and I felt right at home.

I live in the Miracle Mile but find myself often down here on Lincoln in Venice. reminds me so much of the Troubadour. wonderful locale, acts, courteous wait staff, great sound, and the cover more than worth it out. check them out

Who doesn’t love live music? Especially when it’s a friend performing and not only do you want to support him as well as the other aspiring artists, but when it’s being held in the cool venue known to many as Witzend. In Venice, on Lincoln, it’s easy to find and parking was too. Not just spots on Lincoln, but on the connecting streets as well. The venue is not big, or in other words, intimate but the lighting and sound wasn’t bad. Small bar — for some adult beverages. Staff, to include the bartender and bouncer were friendly. Can’t speak for the server, she never once came by to see if I wanted anything. I enjoyed the artists and I really like this venue. It’s not a concert hall but it’s also not someone’s garage. It’s only a $ 10 cover. I’ll definitely be back to check out other performances.

Tonight they’ve completely given up on paying attention to the schedule. Everything is running late. That, plus these new bartenders that make terrible drinks is serving to remind me just how far downhill this place has come from the amazing place that I remember. I miss Jeb and the atmosphere that he had cultivated. The good acts seem to be coming back, but unfortunately many of the wonderful staff have left, including the good bartenders. They put up these ugly blue lights at the bar that clash with the incandescent lightbulbs and candle light thing that they were previously going for. It doesn’t make sense.

Great music venue. Superb staff that are as real and genuine as can be. This place is like home from home but with live music, strong drinks and an awesome vibe. Always something good happening-food, the ‘Craic’ and the staff who’re a hoot. Cassie, Dave, Jessie, Paris and Ezra to name just a few of the top quality people that’ll make it a night to remember.

Came here for nerd nite and enjoyed both the night and the venue. The place has brick walls and wooden rafters which makes the whole place feel warm and cosy. The drinks are average priced and the food was pretty good. The server was very friendly and on the ball of when we needed new drinks. Apparently they have music gigs here during the week so I will defo be stopping in again to check out a few more nights!

Sat night, live band performance, $ 10 cover and min of one item, awesome cute place. Again this is a small joint. Cute place for a date if you’re into the type of music or performance of the night. Walk in, pick your seat and order a drink or just sit at the bar to get your drink. Get comfy and start enjoying the live performances. This place has only one restroom, just fyi.

I had a really great time at Witzend, a casual little dive bar that features live music from local artists. My friend B. Slade was performing so I showed up to support him. The place has a really casual beachy vibe. There is a nice worn-in comfortable feel about it. The small stage is at the back of the bar where the band/artist sets up. Perfect for a small concert venue– warm and intimate. It really is a listening room. All types of artists perform here on any given night. The bartenders were really attentive and the drinks are strong and good. Parking is available along the street. The night I was there, they kept the kitchen open late to accommodate the customers which I think was really cool of them. The food was typical bar food, greasy and satisfying. B. Slade killed it. I got to hang out with my friends, listen to live music, and drink. What else could a girl ask for? Witzend is dope. This is a solid spot if you’re looking for an intimate live music venue or just a cool bar to chill with friends or a lover(wink). I loved it. xo

Came here to see a friend perform. Cover was $ 10, which I think is standard for them. There was no wait to get in. The inside has plenty of seating but there were a lot of people that night so some had to stand. I didn’t try the food so can’t comment on that but the mojitos were tasty and typically priced(I think they were about $ 10). Bartender got snappy with my boyfriend… not cool. My friend performing was of course great ;) BUT honestly I love live music and besides that show have never seen anything of interest at this venue. I live right up the street and would only come back if a friend was performing. Not worth the cover otherwise. Plenty of bars in SM/Venice that have free live music and better vibes.
