Giordano’s Italian Deli

I try not to say anything is the BEST so I don’t contradict myself later. I have no problem at all, though, saying that Giordano’s makes the BEST sub I have ever had, and probably will ever have. The very definition of an old-​fashioned mom and pop place, Gian and Gisella treat all their customers like friends and serve up the most well-​proportioned, satisfying subs, made to order. The garlic toasted Italian is definitely a favorite of mine, as well as the sausage and pepper. Their meatball parm is also one that really stands head and shoulders above every other meatball sub I’ve ever eaten. It has just the right amount of cheese (that is, a LOT), the meatballs are toothy and scrumptious, and that sauce is just heaven — dark red, thick, and rich with great tomato flavor. Gian slaps it all on a toasted roll and you can die happy. Down it with a cold birch beer. There is one other BEST that Giordano’s has going for them: their cannoli. I watched while Gisella made my cannoli, powdered it with care, and brought it to the counter; I took an eager bite and knew right away that this was what a cannoli should be. It sets the standard. I truly don’t think I’ll ever have a better cannoli. The roll is crisp and flavorful, but it’s the filling that really sends it over the top. Do yourself a favor — stop in and bring your appetite, and you won’t leave unsatisfied.

Probably the best food in the United States. If I die, I want to be choking on one of these sandwiches with a smile on my face.

Great Mom and Pop deli! If you’re looking for delicious sandwiches and great service this is the place to go. My husband and I have been getting sandwiches from here for a few years and we have never been disappointed. We highly recommend Giordanos!
