I could see in my wife’s eyes that the first bite of her grouper francese was of what is this? I asked if she would like to get something else just before I tasted it, then I knew why she had that look on her face, I called the server over an complained, not long after that the owner Bob said,[ so you don’t like my fish and you don’t like my drinks ]with an angry tone I said the drink was watered down and the fish was not good, he yelled at me and my wife! he cut that fish himself That of course angered me and I said the fish tasted like S – t.He yelled again I will comp the whole dinner. I was given the bill and paid it. my wife said she will never return just because of the owner. I walked over to the table he was sitting at and placed the paid bill and said don’t ever disrespect my wife. he jumped to his feet and up close to my face, Yelling! told me to get the f – k out of my restaurant repeatedly. I replied I will tell a thousand people Don’t eat at amalfi grille !!!

Took my husband for Valentine’s Day dinner. I must say that the food, service, and experience were top notch! If you are looking for a fine dining experience, then this is the place to go. My husband is not a big Italian food fan, so ordered the New York strip instead and it was melt in your mouth, and cooked to perfection. My Veal Vesuvio was outstanding. Prices were very comparable to any fine dining establishment. Those who know me, know desert is my favorite part to any meal, and I was not disappointed this time either. If you are looking for a nice evening for date night with the spouse, or a great place to take friends, look no further than the Amalfi Grille!!!

Edited my Review on this restraruant as I thought more about the expense compared to so many restaurants we have here now, may update if we go again! I would definitely recommend checking out the menu before you go, so many things to choose from & much better to know ahead of time, what exactly is in the meal that you may not be familiar with the names. I had the«Fettuccini Arogosta,»(pasta /maine lobster/shrimp/peas/shallots/marinara /cream. Was very good, it is very rich though, but I should’ve expected that! So, just brought home what I didn’t eat! Will try something a bit lighter though next time! Wanted to go for the Ribeye, but someone else was taking care of this bill, so didn’t wanna pick the most expensive thing on there! The hubby got Salmone(blackened salmon/sautéed spinach/pesto cream sauce.) We decided to get desert, even though we were already full! I’m crazy for cheesecakes, but had heard the bread pudding was great, asked the waitress, she recommend the cheesecake, so the hubby & I both got that instead. Now, I know my cheesecakes & this was just an OK one, the hubby felt the same. Have a feeling based on previous reviews the bread pudding would be the way to go. Things are pretty pricy compared to what I’ve had at other restaurants, so brought this down from a 4 to a 3 star.

This establishment is a solid strip center Italian dining spot. While the interior is a bit tired and awkward(with many tables too close together), the servers are friendly and maintain a good flow of credible dishes. As noted by other reviewers, the calamari stands out. The appetizer meatballs I thought were tasty and cooked perfectly, but some of my fellow dinners found them bland. The homemade cavatelli bolognese was excellent. The cavatelli with the rapini was met with poor reviews. The shrimp and pasta special(can’t remember the name) was enjoyable. The desserts looked good and the tiramisu we ordered was tasty, but not on par with the best other homemade recipes we have enjoyed. The restaurant attracts a crowd of young and old, well and poorly dressed. While the food was basically enjoyable and reasonably priced I would still opt for other local choices such as Scampi Grill or Avanzare. Definitely worth a visit though.

I thought the food was excellent, as was the wine. Had the house special calamari, which was excellent. Then I had the Fruiti Del Mari, which was spicy seafood, clams, scallops and mussels over linguini. Great.

Experienced business traveler with over 3 million air miles and expense account converges upon small italian restaurant and is BLOWNAWAY! Robert the owner is walking around and is on top of it all. Great recommendations for both vino and apps. I’m a wine-o on the road and normally can pick out my own. Robert caught wind I was looking for maybe a Barolo and comes over to share a story and an opportunity to drink some highly allocated stuff at a great price. Barbaresco was spectacular! The calamari was hands down the best I ever had. Not your traditional fried crap with a scoop of goo on the side. This has a sauce of white wine, butter and a hint of spicy which was absolutely perfect. The oysters — chargrilled and mixed with spinach? Ok. Love those too! Bone in Veal? No complaints other than I’m overstuffed myself and couldn’t finish. The mushroom and Marsala gravy over the top was not too heavy and the fungi weren’t wilted. The mashed potatoes, nice and creamy and smooth. Dessert? Yeah well twist our arms. Tiramisu was more like gone in a flash! I am surprised there Aren’t more reviews but the demographic in the restaurant was definitely older(aka don’t use Unilocal) but hopefully locals read this and give it a try, well worth every penny. I though portion sizes were right on and left with big belly.

Summer menu is limited and portions are very small. Food is good just not much of it. Mushroom appetizer is literally 1 small mushroom cap.really. Service was mediocre at best. Wine glass stayed empty. Had the beef Wellington. Over cooked and literally a piece of meat about 2 inches round. Should be embarrassed. Likely will not return…

My wife and I had dinner last night at Amalfi Grill. Nothing outstanding, very average. Would not recommend this restaurant. The owner has fooled the local cliental into thinking his Italian food is over the moon. Very average for a lot of money. Plenty of Vero Beach restaurants that are much better. Don’t waste your money.

My husband and I had a lovely dinner at Amalfi Grille. The service was good and and our meals delicious. I had the roasted beet salad on the daily specials list for an appetizer and the Chicken Carciofo for the main meal. Both were beautifully presented. I didn’t take photos because I was just to hungry! The salad was very good. It had both red and gold beets along with goat cheese and almonds. The Carciofo was light and creamy. I think next time we’ll do the split plate($ 8 fee) as there was plenty for both of us.

Promptly seated per our reservation, interesting mix of well dressed diners, friendly hostess and servers. Involtini di Melanzane was excellent, along with a beet salad, was plenty as my entrée. My husband dined on the Hog Snapper special, which was fresh and well prepared. Finished with Chocolate Pecan Pie, my new favorite dessert ever… all desserts are made fresh in-house, so ensure you leave room for at least one!

Food at Amalfi grill is 4 stars — excellent food overwhelmed by being too heavy handed on sauces and salad dressings. The atmosphere is okay — not very inviting, but acceptable. At least the noise level is under control. The real disappointment was the service. Several waitstaff showed up periodically, then disappeared. Overall service was very inconsistent. We definitely didn’t matter to the staff. Getting water refilled was painful. waitstaff would walk by and ignore us. Not sure the excellent food is worth the cost and the pain of enduring the long intermissions between service. Approach with caution or bring your mistress.

We had our girls night out Christmas Party here. The service by far was Paramount. Russel manned the bar and our table. His description of the dishes made your mouth water. He checked on every detail and was accommodating to each guest from the beginning til the end of service. The presentation of the food was inviting with a taste that matched. The portions were generous. Value wise from the meal to the wine you can’t go wrong. Overall I would return and stick to the traditional fare. I hear the«specials» have been the same for some time. The crowd is also a bit older!

Good Italian food. What impressed me most was the professional attitude from the staff. Great warm people. They heard we were in town because of some hospital trouble and took great care of us, and even brought us a Tiramisu just to be kind hosts. Patrick was excellent.
