These bracelets are the«in» thing for now. We were browsing around and a young woman wouldn’t give us some space to look. They are made of brass and plated with either silver or 14k gold. Wash them with just soapy water Not jewelry cleaner! One year warranty.

Awful experience. Customer service was smothering, pushy, and then RUDE. the employees do not know how to read the customers nor do they know when to back off and give them space when they just want to browse alone for a few moments. I ended up walking out within 4 minutes of being stalked around the tiny boutique. After leaving I went to another store and bought an Alex n ani bracelet. I wanted 2 but they only had 1(ugh!) forced to go back I encountered One employe who was so rude she basically threw bracelets on the counter when I asked to see one that wasn’t bent and then just threw down my credit card after I gave it to her. Not personable. A real bitchy experience… Changes must be made at that location. In addition to the employees, less is more also when it comes to the fragrance.

A trendy, fashion statement worn with positivity and purpose. When I heard about Alex and Ani last year, I didn’t understand the hype for the fake charm bracelets that reminded me of the trend in the 80’s where the girls filled their wrists with plastic rubberband bracelets in multiple colors. The only difference with A&A is that the bracelets were metal, with charms, and way more expensive. It’s easy to sport over $ 100 worth just wearing 3 or 4, the price ranging from $ 25-$ 140 each.
I received a few as birthday gifts and now, they’ve grown on me. It seems like the company is marketing to provide high quality, higher priced, fake jewelry but actually offers something more unique to outshine their competition like Lia Sophia and Pandora. Their jewelry means something; it adds more value than just another accessory to wear on occasion. It symbolizes positive energy and chakras such as love, strength, protection, resilience, etc. Also, the bracelets are made with recycled, Earth-friendly material and are made in the USA. If that didn’t already make you feel like a good American citizen, Alex and Ani also donates a portion of their sales of the Charity by Design collection to different charities. They get an extra star for that. After making my first purchase today, I feel like they promote quality in product and service. The building is made of cobblestone and next to North Face across from Eastview mall. As soon as I walked in I was welcomed with a very noticeable rustic, floral fragrance. The store radiates a simple, yet classy vibe with it’s bright white walls and minimal décor. The layout looks similar to a real jewelry store — glass displays set around the room. For a small shop, they had five or six sales associates personally assisting each customer one-on-one. The woman who helped me was patient as I browsed through all of the glass displays and her suggestions were helpful. I noticed that they also sold necklaces, earrings, rings and have a selection of real gold plated jewelry. They have different designs, but the basic bracelet has a main charm and the standard ‘tags.’ They are smaller charms, similar to the inside tag on your clothing, that tells you that it’s made in the USA, if proceeds go to a charity, if it’s made with recycled material, the name of the collection, the A&A logo, etc. Each bracelet is packaged in a black jewelry box with a description card of the energy it is promoting and well as care instructions. The box is placed in a matching paper bag with scented gold tissue paper. When I paid, the associate used a portable payment device to swipe my card and offered me the option to email my receipt. Bonus points for promoting going green. Price is the downside and I probably won’t fill my wrists with these dainty bracelets, but given the other ways it adds value, I don’t mind sporting a few.
