I went to this place on a Saturday afternoon because I desperately needed a haircut, but didn’t want to shell out 18 – 25 bucks or more for haircuts at the other local barbers. They have a special on men’s haircuts for $ 10 for their opening, but the price was the only positive for me. There was nobody else in there when I went except for a gentleman getting his hair cut. His looked decent, so I decided to stay despite the bad décor and uncomfortable waiting chairs. The barber finished up I sat down in his chair. Right away I could tell he didn’t understand what I really wanted(I asked for very short sides and to keep the top fairly long so I can comb it.) He barely spoke english, and he immediately started to cut my hair way shorter than I expected, taking about three inches off the top and cutting my bangs into a straight diagonal line across my forehead. He attempted to part it where my natural part is, but left that side of my hair significantly longer than the rest of the top. He turned me around to ask how it looked and I was shocked. I told him what to do to salvage this horrible haircut and he did a mediocre job, spending more time with his strange clipper technique than with the scissors actually fixing the top or my bangs. I ended up with a haircut very similar to his, which is not at all what I asked for. Thankfully the haircut was so cheap that I barely had to tip him, but I’m going to have to wear hats for the next week until it grows out enough that I can style it properly. I do not recommend this place to anyone who has a specific idea of how their hair should be cut — the barbers do not listen or understand what you want, or have any grasp of modern haircuts.

I’ve been to this shop 3 times since they opened in July and have been consistently Very impressed. There is a dramatic improvement in service over the previous business. So has be redecorated, and decluttered. They take customer service very seriously. The shop is always clean and comfortable. Adequate parking, though much of it is behind the shop Entry via Maple Ave or Park). As a new business they are offering significant discounts. My «military» haircut is billed at $ 10.00. It includes a razor trim, and a hot towel massage. There is a refrigerator with complimentary bottled water. They now have internet in the ship, and are about to install a TV. Focus is on men’s haircuts & shaves, but they offer a variety of services, including women’s cuts. Business is cash only. The owners are anxious for business, so give them a try!
