Yes! Their gluten-​free pizza is amazing! It is thin crust, crispy, and full of flavor! Love it! My boyfriend had their regular round pizza and it was amazing too!

Five stars for excellent service, unique menu and delicious execution on all our entrees.
The Maryland eggs Benedict with lump crab was scrumptious. Healthy helping of crab on each English muffin and the eggs were cooked perfectly.
The Swanky Benedict is absolutely fantastic as well but is very filling so if you arent super hungry this would be a good dish to split.
The Pork Belly Benedict was, again, delicious. I think I would request to have this made on a regular English muffin instead of the sweet potato biscuit they serve it on. Not sure why, I just didn’t love the pork belly on the sweet biscuit though. The pork belly was not over cooked nor too salty– cooked to perfection!
Our server was very friendly and prompt. I was a borderline camel at brunch and he never let my glass go empty. I hope to be able to come back and try he waffles!

Nice Atmosphere, very inviting. Staff was friendly. Restaurant clean and in order. When I ordered my food, it was another story. I requested no mushrooms and when he repeated the order he repeated no mushrooms. My food comes, mushrooms. He then proceeded to tell me that I did not say no mushrooms and next time I need to reiterate and make sure he repeats it back to me. Um, take responsibility. Not my problem you or your kitchen made a mistake. I HATE mushrooms, I know what I said and so did my bf. Very unprofessional to put it on me that he was wrong. Yes, he took it off the bill, but that doesn’t change the way he made me feel. Other then that, the food was mediocre. Nothing special. Average good. I ordered a mango mimosa, tasted no mango. Won’t be going back.

We have eaten here before and it was pretty good. That’s why I’m giving it two stars. Today we had the Caesar salad and pork belly pizza. The salad was so over salty and I love salt. Not good. The pizza was just terrible. The pork was flavorless, the pizza was under seasoned, and there was no hint of pepper flakes. The ricotta was flavorless also. Our waitress also never took the time to check on us until we appeared done for awhile. This was our first experience with pizza there and what a disappointment. As of now I would not return.

Checked this place out on a mid morning on a Monday. Awesome décor, and I see they offer a lot on tap including wine. Not very busy only 2 other tables in there at the time, so we got immediate service. We choose breakfast, I got the chicken and waffles which was great! Loved the hand breaded chicken strips. Server was very accommodating. Overall really enjoyed the place, and look forward to trying out dinner sometime.

Delicious food. Delicious drink. I enjoy the area of Hilltop. This place is lovely on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

Initial service seems to be an issue at this location. Everytime we come here there is almost always no one there to greet you as you enter. In fact today, not a soul was present in the dining and bar area. They were all in the kitchen.
I can understand that they were just opening and it was slow but still need someone there or a sign that says seat yourself.
We ordered the swanky and pork belly benedicts. They seem to be our habitual choices. Food came out fairly quickly or so it seemed because we were entertaining ourselves while utilizing their free wifi.
Our server, Rhianna, seemed busy at first but still managed to check up on us for coffee top offs. Towards the end of the meal, she was able to chit chat a little bit and becoming a little more personable, improving customer service in my opinion.
Definitely a good spot for breakfast and need to try their lunch/​dinner offerings sometime soon.

This review is from a few months ago… a friend and I went for lunch… It was my first time and been thinking about coming for years… food was medicore at best. I ordered a chicken breast sandwich as the way the menu described it, i thought it was going to be actual REAL chicken breast but it was processed lunch meat. I havent eaten processed lunch meat in over 2 yrs and this was wayyyyy over priced for the quality. My friend got a salad and it was OK. We were the only ones in there eating. I won’t go back. There are much more quality food places to spend my $$, esp in the hilltop area.

First time here. Went for brunch. Terrific food! Big portions! Interesting options! The coffee cups are too fun! Might need to buy a few! We’ve waited in long lines at more popular brunch spots, but I won’t do that in the future. This place is less busy than the tourist places fortunately for us. It will be my go to brunch place from now on.

Great place for an afternoon snack… or any other meal of the day! Baker’s Crust never fails to impress us. We stopped in today to get a little snack around 4pm. We sat at the bar and was served with a smile by Corey! He’s the bomb! Delicious soups and salads and an incredible drink special: Mango Mojito! Definitely worth the stop!

Had a wonderful experience today. food is great and service is stellar (stacy) I’ll def be back!!!

Excellent food and all-​around good time. Stopped in for the start of Restaurant Week and ate the tomato and cheese soup followed by quinoa/​spinach salad (with added chicken), which was well worth the $ 12.
Great vibe and lengthy drink menu. I’ll be honest: this place needs a stand-​along location and its own identity away from the 1980s Hilltop strip malls. It’s a ham-​slammin’ good time and I’m excited to continue nomming through this menu.

Love love love the house chips with cheese! Very good and delicious ranch. I get the chicken and cheddar sandwich here which I think is amazing. The pizza is also very good. The wait staff is friendly and prompt. I will be coming back in the future for lunch and dinner.

Their sweet potato biscuit is terrible, I would prefer the option for a normal biscuit but they don’t make those. Burgers are ok. The food just doesn’t have that fresh quality taste most desire. The one thing on the menu that’s to die for is the pork belly sliders. Unless I’m in the mood for that I have no interest in going.

Well I’m swinging by to get a Swanky Sweet Potato biscuit. I know I shouldn’t but dear goodness these things are Yumolicious!
This place in general is pretty good especially their pizzas which they have a variety of as well as a nice selection of draft beers too!
This in my opinion is a nice little place to come for a few drinks and enjoy good company. The staff is very professional and friendly. I can’t say anything bad of this establishment because I haven’t experienced anything but good!
I do suggest if you have never had a Swanky Sweet Potato biscuit with their homemade chips do stop by and enjoy this dish! Your tastebuds will absolutely thank you!

I ordered catering for five people. I wanted something more elevated than their sandwich box but their trays were for too many than I needed. So i ordered off of the A la carte menu. It was perfect and beautifully presented. The manager didn’t mind that I made my own «platter» and it fed five plus people (others heard baker’s crust and came hungry!).
I ordered 2 lbs of chicken salad, 1 lb of pasta salad, and that was on a tray with a loaf of fruit and nut bread, sliced. I also ordered a pound of assorted fruit, fresh house made chips, and a box of cookies, a gallon of sweet tea and all the serving utensils and plates.
My «a la carte» platter looked professional and filling which is always a great thing while I was making my sales presentation. The food was read, bagged, and invoiced. The service from Ronny in the Bar and Peter in the house exceptional. Peter even helped me bring the items to my car.
I do lots of catering and was happy with this choice. I was alway from my usual spots and happy that they did such a great job. My sales meeting went great too!

I have been here several times with my family. To start off it is in the hilltop section, fairly easy in and out of the parking lot and have never had a problem finding a parking space.
Pros: They have a wood burning stove and my meal of choice is usually one of the individual pizzas. The pizzas themselves are very good. My favorite is the traditional cheese. Well done with high quality ingredients and just the right amount of crunch. The beer selection is good with excellent craft selections. Ambiance wise the place is superb. Low lighting and it just feels comfortable in here. There is also a nice bar area where you can watch a game.
My daughters have also gotten the crepes. While I am not a fan or aficionado they tell me they are quite good. To me it is a light pancake with fruit but what do I know.
As far as cons, really not much. When it is busy you could wait a while longer but it has never been oppressive. Servers have always been professional, but with a place like this, good service is expected. As a whole customer service has improved across the board in the service industry, but part of me longs for the days when the waitress would be snapping gum with a good hearted put down.
Anyway great beer, good food, professional service in a nice place. Winning all around solid four stars.

I eat here two or three times a month. I love the burgers and the sandwiches are dank as well. Beer-​mossas on point. Great people

The Caesar salad with grilled shrimp was delicious. Really hip and modern atmosphere, very relaxing. Service was good too, a great waiter who need the Wi-​Fi password instantly.
I learned they grown all their own food which is super cool. A healthy and enjoyable meal.

OMG! 1^st time here and had the smoked chipotle Gouda burger (heaven) and hubby had the stout green chili cheddar burger (also heaven). Bartender recommended the sparkling citrus pineapple sangria which was yum and hubby had the star hill off tap… Great experience. Perfect bartender, outstanding burgers… just wish they invest in some purse hooks at their gorgeous bar. Will definitely try this place again.

Awesome food and an amazing dessert selection.

Sadly I couldn’t think of the name of this place after a year. I celebrated my 2 year anniversary here with my boyfriend. And forgot the name as soon as we left. I finally found it and ready to do my review. This place was very classy and calm environment. I do remember the night they went they had a special with a bottle of wine that comes with your meal. I believe I ordered some type of flat bread and it was tasty. I more so remember the wine more than anything. It wasn’t that pricey, they had reasonable prices. The food came out in a timely manner with friendly staff. It was a older crowd at the time I went but overall I had a good first time experience.

Their sweet potato chicken biscuit (whatever it is called) is way better than anything at Handsome Biscuit.
I removed a star because last time we went, we liked our coffee cups so much we asked if we could pay for them and have them.
The waitress added them to our tab and was very accomodating. On the way out we were glared at by the other employees that were ignorant to what had happened and they ran outside to accuse us of stealing. Not cool. Very not cool.
So it’s a good spot, it just isn’t cool to be accused of theft, especially when it is over a freaking coffee mug that nobody even cares about it in the first place

Guaranteed good time place! We go here knowing it silly bee a great experience. Tried something different each ringer I have been here and pleasantly surprised each time. Highly recommended!

Came last night to celebrate my mom’s bday. I realize now that it was my first time coming for dinner. In the past I’ve always been to brunch and lunch. I was surprised to find their dinner time clientele a lil sparse. We had jus a bit of a wait while they got together some tables because we were a party of 6 plus 1. Our server was great — friendly and efficient. I usually have a hard time choosing what to have because everything always sounds so yummy, and I just wanna try it all! I debated between a sandwich, a pizza, and 2 pasta dishes. Before I tell you what I had, lemme just say their pizzas are so freaking delicious. The crust is perfect and the whole thing is baked in a brick oven, which to me, should be the only way to bake a pizza. So instead of ordering the margarita pizza (my all-​tine favorite) I decided on the pasta & meatball dish. It came out looking pretty but the taste was a disappointment. Bland, bland, and bland. No matter how much S&P I added, along with more cheese & crushed red peppers, I just kinda pushed it along and forced myself to eat. It wasn’t cheap and I was hungry. Thankfully though, I ordered us some calamari and beer cheese fries. Calamari was pretty basic but served with a sweet chili sauce… I still like marinara better. The beer cheese fries was the winner of the night!!! My son ordered their shrimp and crab pasta and that just looked bland. He seemed to have liked it because there wasn’t much left but he wasn’t raving about it like he normally would have over a delicious dish. Boyfriend ordered their pizza and poor him had to share with his daughter who ordered their salmon and kale salad, and my son as well. Note to self next time I am torn between what to order there: Always choose the pizza. Always.
I gave it 4 stars because I truly enjoy their new décor and because I’ve been there so many times and u know their food is delicious. Minus 1 star for bland pasta dishes.

Wow! I absolutely love this place! Very nice and clean inside, good ambiance. The service (Pete) was awesome! The food was DELICIOUS! I had the California Reuben sandwich so yummy! The beer and wine list has a lot of variety and plenty to choose from along with cocktails. We ordered their calamari and it was some of the best I have ever had. The prices are very affordable as well. I will definitely be going back!

I’ve seen this location for a few years while shopping around and haven’t stopped in.
Finally last Thursday night I met a friend and had a nice dinner here.
The menu is the same at this location as the one in Norfolk so I don’t have vastly different food reviews but I’ll share what I had.
I had the kale caesar salad — it’s exactly what it sounds like — a caesar salad but kale instead of romaine. It was OK but it was dry and could’ve used more dressing from the get-​go.
I split a fresh-​made pizza with my friend and they had it out very quickly (a good thing bc I was starving) and it was very yummy. It was a white pizza with spinach on top.
Lastly — the house chips which never disappoint. Nom nom nom — have to be my fav thing on the menu.
Large location with a nice bar, plenty of seating, clean bathroom and inside with contemporary décor and lots of parking.
All in all — a win!

Came here on a Saturday at noon with a party of 6 adults and 3 kids and it was about a 10 minute wait which is not too bad. I would recommend the southern belle with home fries. This sandwich is a beast. Fried chicken between a sweet potato biscuit with maple syrup. The best deal if you have kids is the pizza it is literally the same size as the regular craft pizzas.

This has become my Thursday lunch spot for a few weeks now, and I have to say that every time I eat here, I’m impressed. Their renovation has really elevated the look of the restaurant, and you can tell by their menu and the service. If you get a chance, sit at the bar and have Katie serve you, not only is she an amazing server, she will have you rolling on the floor laughing. She’s one of my favorite reasons to come to BC. I love her stories and service.
So far, I’ve had a couple of different sandwiches. My favorite is the charleston, fried chicken, avocado and bacon. Yep, all great things packed between some bread. I recently had their mushroom and brie soup which was very hearty and filling. I’ll be having that again!
It’s a great place to go unwind, grab some food and chat with some friends. I look forward to my Thursdays a little more, now that it involves lunch at Bakers Crust.
Oh! I almost forgot their crepes. GET THE CREPES! I was looking forward to having carrot cake, but they only have it at their Ghent location, but then the girls I was with kept bragging about how awesome the crepes were, so we got them. Holy Crêpe! Don’t judge a crêpe by it’s cover. These things will knock your socks off.

*** NEWLY RENOVATED — Reopened March 2015 ***
To begin, I always felt Baker’s Crust was a 4.5 star place before they renovated. Well, we stopped in there post-​renovation and they are even better! They have kept all the bakery and fresh bread, but have changed to more of an «Artisan Kitchen» with some excellent dishes on the menu.
They still have all the nice wine choices the Ladies love, but along the wall as you enter, they have created a very nice Bar with about 20 Beers on tap. (Would have gotten a pic but the place was packed, very nice bar setup!)
So to keep this review 3 paragraphs or less, all I can say is they have made a GREAT restaurant even better! Superb service, great atmosphere, great service, highest quality breads and dishes.
It was a «top 5 in Virginia Beach» for me before, and is even better now. 5 stars!

Food is good. Disappointed they stopped having the sticky buns. Just re did the place and seems more spacious. Nice bar area and many beers on tap. Pretty good specials during the week and happy hour.

Being as this was my first time here I must say that I was well satisfied with my dining experience. I ordered the sweet potato biscuit with chicken and it was delicious!
My husband order the Doug something and our son ordered an omelette. Our food was in a nutshell fabulous!
We will be coming back to enjoy the well talked about pizza and looking forward to it!

Made a to-​go order this morning on my way to work. My portobello and arugula pizza was on the counter waiting for me and the to go guy was super helpful. He was more than happy to add a couple of drinks to my order at the last minute. Although, the place was crowded for the brunch rush I did feel rushed myself.
I open the box and couldn’t be happier with what saw. Fresh and crispy arugula and grilled portobellos on top of a perfectly cooked pizza straight from the brick oven. It was a gourmet pizza with a Pizza Hut price. It was obviously a good day.
