Subway

I don’t often write reviews for fast food type places, but this Subway is well worth it! It’s the only Subway that i’ll go to anymore. They are consistently friendly, fast, and clean, and they make the best sandwiches that I’ve had at any Subway location before. Everything is just right. I also love the addition of the picnic tables outside, which my husband and I have used on multiple occasions when there was nice weather. This is certainly the best Subway location in Hampton Roads!

Courteous, quick despite the long line, and generous with the toppings. Clean floors, tables and restrooms. Other than that not much different from any other Subway. Still add it all together and I have agree with my fellow Elite Unilocaler in this could very well be the best Subway in Hampton Roads.

This is my Subway! Whenever I have to make the Subway lunch run, this spot is where I choose. Out of every Subway I’ve visited, I know i can get an excited and generous person that can make the best sandwiches. That says a lot when my main sandwich is the meatball sub. Can somebody explain how one subway makes the best meatball sub and the others don’t taste the same? Makes no sense!
Also, no matter how long the line is, they get you in and out of there during the lunch rush. They don’t play. That’s why I won’t order fdom another place, unless there are a lot of online orders. They missed my order once, but made up for it by getting 6 subs done in literally 3 minutes. All hands on deck, and i was the only one in the store at that point.
I don’t know how they are after 2pm, but for lunch, you won’t be disappointed!

Good solid performer for the food for sure. Breads are fresh, and they don;t skimp on the meats and toppings. The real winners are the people and the location though. The employees are quick, attentive, and friendly. They greet you when you walk in the door, and even when busy make sure to acknowledge you and smile to let you know you will be enjoying some good vittles soon. As for location, hey, My Wards Corner is GROWING!!! nice to have some solid performers at a good price. This should be a nice busy location and be around for a looooooooooong time.

This Subway location is really is as good as Subway gets. I come pretty often as it’s quick, healthy, cheap, and close to work.
The service is great. The guy that’s generally there remembers my typical order. Today he suggested the Creamy Sriracha sauce since I like all of the spicy ingredient and he nailed it.
Another thing that stands out here is that the restaurant is always spotless (including the bathrooms).
You can’t always eat at a mom and pop restaurant when you’re in a hurry – so when you do have to hit up a chain it’s very refreshing to see this level of effort by the staff.

This is without a doubt the BEST Subway in Hampton Roads. Bold statement, but I go to Subways 10 – 12 times a month because my son loves their sandwiches. They also have a loyalty program which we really enjoy. This location hits on all cylinders where others fail. Check out their case and notice that they have something most do not. They can keep all of their meats etc. fresh by a door that closes and seals down when business slows.
My most recent visit was at lunch, this place get crazy busy on weekdays and a line can extend out to the door. The great news is they can handle it unlike others. The young man who I consider a guru of sandwich makers. Don’t expect to engage him, he is a busy man and will get your order moving faster than the Tazmanian Devil. The others on the line are great and friendly too. If you come on Monday, or Tuesday the owner Ed will check you out. His wife Leanne is busy in the back, or may be cleaning tables.
This place is always spotless and it wa this day too. My Roastbeef sandwich with American Cheese, pickles, lettuce and mayo was scrumptious… everything FRESH! The restrooms were clean with a nice smell from one of those little mist machines I suspect. The sidewalk are in front was well kept up too. They have two picnic tables for outdoor dining which is a nice touch for a Subway.
They do catering as well if you are close enough. I must say that I was pretty darn shocked that I am the first to review this location, but I assume most think that fast food is fast food. Well I can tell you this place is different and you will feel it too. This is a locally owned and operated store and the difference is the owners are active and care about the reputation of their franchise and want repeat customers.
