I love Mediterranean food, especially when it is authentic, and I can say Charlie’s is as such. I stopped by here one day after work to grab a bite to eat. I was not disappointed at all. I could tell that the cashier was new because she wasn’t sure of a few things I asked, but overall it was a nice experience. I ordered the su-su platter with the chicken kabob, rice, tabouli, and hummus. Delish!!! Fresh food, and fast service!

Yum! Great selection and incredible service. Everyone is so friendly! I ordered the veggie platter — it was the perfect size for lunch and left room for options. The grape leaves are to die for!

Very friendly, the lamb kabobs are outstanding along with the Hercules gyro. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Consistently excellent service and delicious food. I generally go for the lunch special– sometimes more than once a week– as I think that’s the best deal. I always feel like there should be more fries but then I remember I really shouldn’t be eating fries anyway and try to think that they are doing me a favor by restricting my portion size. The Phoenix(traditional beef/lamb gyro with tzatziki) is excellent and, so important to us southerners, they have wonderful tea. Friends and family(I take everyone there) give the steak gyros and baklava rave reviews. Charlie is often there and takes great pride in making happy customers. We are so lucky to have a yummy option for a quick meal right in the Heritage neighborhood.

I’m looking at the reviews, but guess I am the only one that doesn’t really like the food here. Now if I had to rate on customer service alone, I would give this place 5+++ stars. The staff go wayyyyy out of their way to make sure you are happy with your food. I tried two different things, but it’s just not that good to me. And I love Mediterranean, Greek food so I’m pretty open-minded and flexible. It has more of a fast food type taste to me. Which is what it is. I don’t care for gyros. the Greek salad wasn’t that fresh, nothing really special about it. guess I’ll have to stick with Alladins.

Great healthy alternative … At least it feels healthy! Yummy kabobs, both steak and chicken. My husband likes the gyro varieties. And don’t forget to ask for their hot sauce — it’s super flavorful. Always friendly and pretty quick for freshly made food. I like both locations, but Capital is closer for me.

Great Lebanese style food. Being of Israeli decent I am pretty picky about my falafel and shwarma and I left Charlie’s pretty darn happy. Only thing I would liek to see if more pickled and spicy pickled veggies for my side plates. But great place. Very reasonably priced. I can’t wait to go back!

The food here is tasty but the portions extremely skimpy. You do not get what you pay for. The gyros have very little meat in them. If you are hungry you will need to order two, or ask for extra meat.

We ordered here for the first time today. There was a mistake in the order and when I called they took care of it immediately and were fantastic about the ordeal. It was an honest mistake and without batting an eye helped us. Their customer service was the best I have seen. The food was the same as the service. The best kefta my family has enjoyed. We make it from scratch and feel we can be good critics about it. Now, the lamb kabobs were tender and excellent too. We come from Chicago and Charle’s Kabobs has blown away other similar restaurants. If you want to be taken care of, this is the place to go! Lastly I always used Unilocal but never posted. I had to post because of the great experience. I guess I am no longer a lurker. :) T

This location is larger and brighter than the one on capital, so it’s my go-to. Great vegetarian options at both, I recommend the falafel. Meat eaters also seem happy.

Went in to have dinner with my wife and was treated to a lesson by the cook on how to pronounce gryo. The first time may have been funny but the last six was him being a jerk.

Ummm the food here is amazing. Totally love the gyros but I can also down the kabobs. The ambiance is comfortable and Charlie’s preserved the beautiful painting from the previous owners. Always very clean and food is served hot and tasty.

Fantastic! The food is divine! The tabouli is bursting with fresh flavor. The grape leaves melt in your mouth. The gyro was delicious, full of very tasty meat cut in small chunks instead of the usual slices I have seen elsewhere. The pitas were so soft and tender and warm! The staff here is friendly and very helpful. Service was fast. The décor is pleasant and the music soothing. Definitely will be a repeat customer here!

mmmm Charlies! I am hungry now just thinking about it. I always get the Hercules. Gyro meat on a warm soft pita with lettuce, tomato, and tatziki sauce. Yum-o. I like this location of Charlie’s also because there is plenty of seating and a very festive atmosphere. I also really like the spicy sauce they have on the T wrap. Everything at Charlie’s is great.

The pros: delicious tasting food, comfortable booths, brought your food to table, can refill your own sodas, teas. The cons: ordered from the menu and the dish only included the wrap and not the salad as pictured, music way too loud, $ 1.99 for a side of 3 grape leaves way too expensive. I went to Charlie’s Kabob Grill really wanting to like it as I love this type of food. I did find that what I ordered was way overpriced for just the wrap, and if I return I would certainly get the $ 5.99 special. With what I ordered it was over $ 10.00(excluding drink) for the wrap and a portion of grape leaves. When I brought my dish back and asked Sam the manager, why it wasn’t like the picture, he said he usually tells people it does not include the salad. Well Sam, I am people. Why didn’t you tell me? He happily added the salad to my plate, but it was really nothing more than a large amount of shredded iceberg lettuce with some diced tomatoes, which did nothing for me. I think there are better places to have a wrap, gyro or chicken on a stick in Wake Forest and Raleigh.

What a treat to have an authentic Lebanese restaurant in Wake Forest! Their hummus is out of these world! And the spices they put in their rice are really good! Everything I’ve ordered so far has been phenomenal! You can’t leave without getting their baklava!
