after having their chicken quesadilla, I knew I was in love! MMM, everything made from scratch that morning — whole chickens cooked and pulled apart… then the chicken is stuff into this amazingly delicious little pocket of love… with cheese, lettuce and onions. I add avocado for kicks and lather it in the mild sauce they make… writing this is making me want one right now.

This is definitely a little hole in the wall place with a mini-mart and diner all in one. Authentic Mexican food and it is fresh, local and delicious. It has it’s local charms and many newspaper articles about the place hanging on the wall. There are two locations, one in Walla Walla and one in College Place. We went to the one in College Place and I had the enchiladas while the wife had the veggie tacos. Excellent choices and everything is fresh made. It is not the«best» I’ve personally had, however my wife lived in Mexico during college and I was raised on «home cooked» Mexican food. It’s worth finding and trying! And who doesn’t love a good bait shop and worm ranch.

Best authentic Mexican you’ll get. My favorite? The veggie burrito – get it with the red sauce. Amazing. The burrito is about the size of a Chipotle burrito and a reasonable price. They will customize your burrito to your needs. The Worm Ranch is the local go to for the local college students, and Collge Place/Walla Walla’s best kept secret. Call your order ahead to avoid the long lines at lunch time.

Positively outstanding food, but it takes a bit more than that to run a good business. On June 15, 2015 for lunch the non-gentleman behind the counter accused my wife of stealing drinks out of the drink case when she had purchased the drinks separately from our tacos. She got the drinks and then decided to try a taco. at first he was concerned about the cups so he charged me 25 cents a cup for cups(that one of the ladies behind the counter offered) so that canned drinks could be iced. Ok. Also said they could not drink outside(alcohol) even though there were three guys already outside at tables with beers. Ok that’s fine I get it. We are not from here from out of state so we moved and dined in. At that point he was doing ok — a bit unfair and uptight in his customer interaction. What happened next will blow you away. After finishing our meal I walked out ahead and waited at the car for the ladies to emerge. Without me there he blocked the doorway in a confrontational way and began to berate my wife and her sister about their drinks again accusing them of not paying. They offered to show a receipt. He then said that was not the issue and that they had purchased to go, but then stayed. Wife finally asked if he wanted more money. Finally after he felt he had adequately and repeatedly belittled them and making a scene in front of a large lunch crowd he decided to settle for $ 5 extra for eat-in drinks. Nobody ever asked my wife and her sister if the drinks purchased were for here or to go. If this guy owns the place, and serves this world class food, then I guess he has the right to his odd rules and to be the drink Nazi. Otherwise if he is hired help, he needs to go get a job where he does not not interact with customers. World class Mexican food has no business being anywhere near the crappiest customer interaction I’ve ever(almost) seen. And seriously — put up no alcohol signs around your outside dining area and enforce it equitably. And diner beware if you go there don’t leave before your wife or girlfriend, cause the guy behind the counter might be a complete bully.

Veggie tacos were amazing! What a great surprise to have lunch! Was recommended by winery folks and it was above and beyond some of the best tacos I have eaten. It is definitely a hole-in-the-wall but one that should be on your list. The staff was extremely nice, it was very clean and the homemade corn tortillas were the best I have ever had! Will be back for sure!

You know when you read about a tiny hole-in-the-wall place that’s amazing? This is that place. Worm Ranch has some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. The ratios of ingredients on the veggie tacos is perfection. If you’re in town, just stop by. It’ll be worth it.

We are visiting from out of state and received a recommendation from a local to grab lunch at Dora’s, and it hit the spot! The vegetarian taco was huge! Hubby had 4 different meat tacos to try to sample everything. We would have ordered the posole if we weren’t so stuffed! The prices were very reasonable for the amount of food received. The fact that the deli is combined with a fishing bait shop brought back memories of childhood. The eating area was very clean and many framed pictures of awards received from various newspapers & magazines adorned the walls. If we lived in the area we would eat here often.

Cool little place with delicious food. I used to come here all the time as a kid before fishing trips. Bring on the nostalgia!

Higher prices are never a good indication of higher quality, and unfortunately Dora’s is a confirmation of that. Food comes out fast here, and it’s authentic and decent. Problem is, their prices are just way too high for what you get, compared with the countless taco trucks and taquerias I’ve eaten at all over the place on the other side of the Cascades. This place came very highly recommended by someone at one of the local wineries, but I have to say I experienced some sticker shock and was a bit underwhelmed.

This place is definitely not CLOSED and they have the best Mexican food in town(probably the state). Try the fish tacos. Ignore the décor.

Dora’s Deli or «worm ranch» is amazing! Best authentic burritos I’ve had. Don’t be fooled by appearances when you walk in, this place is delicious. I could go everyday. Try the taco’s also, they’re great!
