If you have a sweet tooth like me, you have yet to try this place. They have two locations in Walnut Creek on in N. main and one at Ygancio. They have a variety of cookies, pies and cakes. They also serve good lattes! My favorite is the carrot cake and the pumpkin muffin… So delicious!

You can always count on a satisfying lunch from Sweet Affair. I usually go for the roasted turkey sandwich on multigrain, which has cream cheese, avocado, cranberry sauce Swiss cheese and sprouts. It’s a little pricey at $ 6.25 for a half portion and $ 8.25 for the whole thing, but the servings are huge. They throw on layers of thinly sliced turkey a few inches thick. They definitely don’t skimp on ingredients. My favorite is their delicious freshly baked bread that’s delightfully pillow-soft on the inside. I’ll keep Sweet Affair in my regular lunch rotation as long as they keep up the good work!

They are always getting orders wrong. One guy in particular in the back doesn’t know how to follow the customer’s requests when making the salads or sandwiches. They give a whole hard boiled egg instead of slicing it up. Their corn chowder is a fake and should be called potato chowder. Very disappointed with this place.

This place is the best! So for my daughters birthday we ordered a cake and asked it to be something special since she had just been accepted to Texas Christian University. Wow, they did the research and made the cake look like the TCU Horned Frog mascot. It was delicious too! So that was a few months ago, fast forward to yesterday I stopped in to get lunch to go. I ordered a chicken caesar salad and wow was it great. I will start with the lettuce, chopped nicely no big chunks so it was easy to eat. Finely grated soft fluffy(yes that matters) cheese, flavorful croutons and now lets talk about the best parts of the salad. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and tender. I saved the best for last, the dressing is so good I want to go back and order just dressing to have for every time I ever order a salad at another food establishment. So perfectly balanced with not to much garlic, nothing else to say you just need to go in and find out for yourself. To cap it all off the staff all seem very friendly and the other patrons(many who seem like regulars) all seemed very happy to be at Sweet Affair. Now I know it sounds like I am eating pretty healthy but I only ordered the salad so I could still eat a few cookies. Don’t leave this place without trying something. My favorites, rasberry pastry and chocolate chip cookie. Hope to see my fellow Unilocalers at this place soon.

My crab salad sandwich looked great but was the worst I’ve ever had. They use fake crab and instead of mayonaise, put cream cheese on it. It was rather tasteless.

This place is very convenient for me because its right in my office complex. They offer amazing baked goods, delicious sandwiches and salads, and a wide variety of coffee and espresso drinks. I have been a fan of everything I’ve had here so far! For lunch I often get sandwiches from here. Their sandwiches are HUGE and very filling. I usually only get the half sandwich because its as large as some full sandwiches elsewhere. I have never finished a whole sandwich from here in one sitting. They have a wide selection and everything I’ve tried so far sandwich-wise has been great! They even have yummy breakfast sandwiches that I will occasionally get when I didn’t have a chance to grab something at home. Their sweets, which is what they are known for, are absolutely delicious. I love their cookies, especially the chocolate chip walnut and the peanut butter chocolate chip. They also have danishes, pie bars, macaroons, and other various sweets that seem to change daily. Their coffee and espresso is good too – lots of different options that come in both hot and iced. My only complaint here is that the food is a bit expensive. Its $ 6.95 for just a half sandwich – the same price as a full sandwich at Morucci’s just a couple miles away. However like I said before, the half sandwich is quite large so it does make that part a little better. The sweets are about on price though, so I appreciate that. I love that A Sweet Affair is close to my office and has a good selection of sandwiches, salads, sweets, and coffee. Call in to pick up quickly, but even walking in your food will come out quickly. A definitely lunchtime staple!

Their main location brings them over their baked goods every morning and their cookies are to die for. Their sandwiches are good too, however, they just raised their prices again… It can get pretty expensive pretty quickly at this place, so be careful.

I’m really trying to like this place, I really am. But it’s so mediocre that it’s kind of less than mediocre. Every time I order something it comes out missing a key ingredient. Food quality(meats, lettuce, etc) is below average, as is the service. Coffee is pretty bad, but then again I’m kind of a coffee snob. The lack of competition in this area shows.

This deli & bakery is pretty good. The gourmet sandwiches & desserts are good sized & fairly priced as well! They have so many good bread choices it’d hard to decide which one. And there are a bunch of cake & cookie choices too. The sweet rolls are to die for, and the soups are also really good too! It’s a shame that the one in Alamo closed down, I really miss Herb(the owner). The food is consistent at all of the locations, so it’s always a «safe» place to eat, knowing you’ll get good food every time!

I work in the same building as this location and frequently order food. The staff is nice(enough) but when it comes to taking constructive criticism, don’t hold your breath. Every single time I order something from them they get at least one thing wrong but, I continue to go because I know they get busy and if you tell them they did it wrong, they fix it. This doesn’t mean they say«sorry» or show any remorse whatsoever for making you now wait another ten+ minutes, they just redo your order. I decided to say something in hopes that maybe it would help them out with their business since I am not the only one with this complaint. I didn’t say it rudely or with any sort of upset undertone; I simply stated, perhaps they could adopt a different process for taking down orders. The Managers response… «well we are only human so we make mistakes.» Yes, I understand that you make mistakes but really? That is your response? Learn some managerial etiquette and realize that the only reason people keep coming back is because it’s convenient for them. Why only strive to be convenient? Why not push to be better and become the one place people go to because it’s THAT good?! Sorry but I will no longer spend money at this place. I wish them the best but I’m done. I can no longer waste time on a business that doesn’t value their customers.

Great sandwiches just like the Danville location, though not as much table space. The sandwiches are huge, ingredients are fresh, and they are happy to customize your order. Friendly staff.

A Sweet Affair! First of all, no doubt, their cakes and pastries are amazing! The sandwiches are good, too! We decided to come here for our wedding cake. Heather was the person we talked to and she is very knowledgeable at what she does. We met with her one more time to discuss the final details of the wedding cake. I even showed her a picture of what design I wanted. She said it is totally doable, but I didn’t see her writing that down. Cake was delivered on time at our wedding venue and they utitilzed the fresh flowers we gave them to put on the cake. BUT… the design of the cake was not what i had asked at all… Overall, the cake still looked so beautiful(it couldn’t ruin my big day! Lol) and so delicious(3-tier cake with red velvet, salted caramel and vanilla). You dont have to save the top tier for your 1-year anniv because they would give you a free cake for your 1-year-anniv!

Nice people working here. Sandwiches are good but very light on meat. Mr Pickle does a way better job and 2 blocks away. The salads are a better choice. Morrucis is best in WC by far. This place only has biz because of all the office space around it. Hope the other A Sweet Affairs are more thoughtful about what they are offering

Phoning in your order is definitely the way to pick up sandwiches from Sweet Affair. Especially at this tiny location. They seemed overwhelmed by the small line in front of me, which I had to wait in since there isn’t a spot for phone-in pick up like at the Ygnacio location. It was a short wait, only to be told they didn’t have my order. After the initial feeling of panic wore off, they said they did actually have it, under a different name(I had called in several sandwiches for a group dining in our nearby office). Everyone’s order was correct. Sandwiches and salads alike. And free cookies were included because I phoned it in. I definitely wouldn’t walk over at lunch time without ordering ahead. Really small spot, but food quality and value was as good as expected.

Called in… they said 30 minutes. Waited an additional 10 minutes once I got there. Let’s get our act together guys. 40 minutes for a sandwich??? It’s sandwich building not rocket science.

Happiness does not begin to describe the feeling I have about A Sweet Affair opening up at this location. It’s literally steps away from my girlfriends office, so we don’t have to drive down the street to get the most amazing sandwiches EVER. This location is definitely a lot smaller then the one down the street, but that doesn’t take away from any of the charm. The staff was very friendly. I even asked a employee who was on her lunch a question, and she happily responded. I want to apologize to that employee by the way :). I ordered the hot pastrami sandwich on a wheat roll with everything on it. It is not as big and pretty as the other location, but to me it’s more about the flavor of the sandwich. The red onion, lettuce, mayo and mustard provide great flavor support and the cheese is good and not over powering which is fantastic. For me the star will always be the pastrami, and rightly so. It was served hot, as promised by the name, and so tender. I had the sandwich on a wheat roll instead of the normal bread it’s served with, which was a delicious choice on my part. The service was pretty awesome from my personal experience. We ordered our sandwiches, and we were informed that they have a free water station at the end of the counter. When we came back in for our brownie(Which was also delicious) the women whom I interrupted on lunch asked us how our sandwiches were, then told us we made good choices. Whether she means it or not doesn’t matter because the fact that she asked shows she cares about customers. I would gladly come back here over and over again. Great job A Sweet Affair.

I agree with Natasha W.; TERRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE!!! My co-workers love their BLT and their«free» cookies. I on the other hand have celiac disease. I called in and they were clear that their restaurant is not a fit to prepare gluten free items so it would be totally my decision to order from them. I ordered a ½ of a Cesar with no croutons and I wanted them to add tomatoes. I told them I would give the free cookie to a friend. Upon receiving my salad, the cookie was placed inside the container with my salad. Therefore contaminating my entire order. I immediately called back down and no one offered to refund me, simply an apology. Not to mention there were no tomatoes in my salad(like I requested). These employees clearly do not pay attention to detail. Also cookies that were ordered were missing, which wouldn’t be a big deal however my co workers were looking forward to them. My conclusion: You can get a better salad from Buckhorn, Target, 1990, Or walk to other destinations in the area. I am the type of person who appreciates people paying attention to my food. It’s very important and you shouldn’t pay for service and food that isn’t worth it.

I’m so happy Sweet Affair has finally opened their second Walnut Creek location! While we of course love and adore the original, their parking lot is a nightmare. This new office building location is long overdue, and will finally alleviate some of the traffic to the Ygnacio location, while letting us downtown workers hit a new location on foot! Win/win! I popped in at 3:00 pm on a Tuesday as soon as I heard they were open. This location is about half the size of the Ygnacio shop, but since so many folks will likely grab sandwiches and head back to the office, no biggie. They are tables inside and outside, plus the courtyard area between all buildings in this office complex are green and clean, ideal for an impromptu picnic! I look forward to returning to grab a sandwich but today I just popped in for a soda and a sweet treat. Their pastry selection thus far is lovely but small, no cakes or cupcakes in their display case yet. Hopefully that is coming? Ygnacio always has fountain Pepsi products, while this spot is limited to a small fridge with Coke, Diet Coke, bottled water and a few juices. Again, I assume it’s all still a work in progress. Their menu board showed all the familiar sandwich goodies, and I tried a simple brownie as my afternoon delight — fudgey and delicious! The employees seemed a little frazzled despite no crowd, but I assume they are still getting their feet wet. They aren’t as streamlined of a group as the Ygnacio team and were a bit abrupt, but not rude at all. I’m sure with time it will all become a well-oiled machine. I can hardly wait to update this review after I dive into my first sandwich from the BRANDNEW highly foot-friendly Sweet Affair!

BAD customer service. The employees failed to make eye contact, greet, smile or do anything to make me feel like I should be handing them my money(or even there). I tired to order a hot drink and was told«we closed the espresso machine so we do not have anything hot». Okay… do you have any tea? «No tea. Maybe iced». I proceeded to ask if they had any hot water and a tea bag and alas the employee told me NO– their«restaurant» doesn’t have hot water. Then another employee had the mind to point out that their coffee maker dispensed hot water. I purchased a cup of tea dispite my distate with their bad service. It is OKAY not to know everything but it is another issue to just be so rude like they were doing me a favor by letting me puchased an overpriced cup of tea. I was so excited for their opening. FAIL.
