BEYONDSHOCKED how they treat the elderly! wow… This old man did not see something at the condiment bar… instead of yelling at him that«it’s right there…» why don’t you take the time to actually SHOW the person whatever he wants is! he doesn’t see it and repeating yourself won’t make him find it. how disgusting! rude… just shocked. so obnoxious and rude. The baristas are hit or miss too! this place has fallen apart. Now they just hire loud and proud mediocre people… sometimes the coffee is so bad you take one sip and throw your cup away… very bitter, long pulled espresso… GROSS. waste of $$. and the rudeness to the elderly and fake personality to everyone else is heinous. I am beyond shocked. Peets is a downward spiral…

I was disappointed to see a Pete’s staff member tell a regular, local icon in the neighborhood that she couldn’t sit at the establishment. It was very saddening to see someone turned away, especially because she wasn’t causing a nuisance and just wanted to read her newspaper. Maybe we need to wake up and accept and embrace the fact we are all diverse, socially, economically. Humility goes a long way. Practice it in the face of the«norm». We are created equal but dealt with different cards. Help your neighbors regardless of status.

I love my local Peet’s, the staff is so friendly and one of them, Wes, just made my «ok» day into a really wonderful one! Thank you for being so thoughtful, I’m addicted to my coffee and I will keep coming back here :)

Two stars is generous, one for the beans and one for the well-meaning staff. I think after a few dozen visits I have a) never got out in less than 10 minutes, b) never got an order 100% correct, c) didn’t have to climb over people to get in/out/milk/etc.or d) wait to receive a half-brewed cup of coffee, I mean, how much training does it take to actually have brewed coffee in a coffee house? What a mess of a business and so poorly managed. Peet’s needs to close this location and open in the same general area with a bigger store, and it needs to be managed. This place is simply a mess.

Didn’t know my review would downgrade after the renovation. Maybe it’s the baristas working at this timeframe(Fri, 11÷13÷158:52 a.m.) but they seemed to be rude just to me. I’m not sure why. I ordered 4 drinks. The barista was placing my drinks in one spot. She placed one drink bit mine in the same spot. I grabbed it thinking it was one of mine. The other barista said sternly«you grabbed his(the other customer’s) drink» I apologized to her and the customer. The customer brushed it off and said don’t worry about it. «I said to the barista which one was it?» She sternly answers«doesn’t matter you already touched it» Again apologetically I say«I’m sorry it was here in the same spot so I thought …» The other barista I interrupts me and says«but I said it was a(name of the drink)» I live up the hill from here but I will not return because of this particular service. I’ll drive an extra 5 minutes to the friendlier, more organized Peet’s on Locust.

Place looks walnut Creek amazing… beautiful floors and nice décor. I’m not a huge fan of Petes coffee but hey you can’t be picky sometimes. The gentleman at the register seemed to have had a little more coffe than the average person. …super EXCITED, full of energy and what you could expect from someone who had an expresso with like a million shots… took me off guard since I’m a little on the tired. I did asked for my drink to be stirred but I don’t think he understood what I meant. I tried to explain but yet again I’m too tired. Results where a layered malchiato.(which is what I didn’t want… too sweet in parts way too sour in others) oh well coffee is coffee I suppose… Not a bad experience and everything was good not great but not bad at all… I’m sure alot of ppl would appreciate the nice service and the coffee here :-)

Have coffee prices gone up? Well I guess I don’t frequent coffee places very often so it’s probably been awhile. Still, I liked the décor of this place, especially the shuffle board wooden table. Just wish they were a little faster. Had to wait more than the typical 5 minutes for a hazelnut soy latte today. For the person in need of a caffeine fix… that’s an eternity.

You would think Ygnacio Valley Rd, the main artery through Walnut Creek and then over the hill to Clayton Valley, would be a hotbed of coffee shops. And you would be wrong. In fact, traveling east on YV, there are no coffee shops after you leave downtown Walnut Creek for the 7+ miles till you arrive in Concord/Clayton. Except for one. This Peet’s across from Heather Farms is the sole coffee oasis in this caffeine-challenged stretch. For location alone this place must do great business. It’s a decent Peet’s, nice, varied interior seating including window seating, some outdoor tables, a group table, and more private seating along the walls. The seating is decently spaced out so you aren’t right on top of your neighbor. A great spot for relaxing and enjoying a bit of coffee. Good Peet’s. *Great* location.

Love my soy lattes here, some days they are made better than others, not sure why, the expresso? the soy milk? the skill? But I am a loyal customer, and appreciate all they do for the community. Parking is convenient. With the rapidly disappearing ability in Walnut Creek to park right next to your destination, free, no meters, and simply walk in — big bonus. This Peet’s was recently remodeled and updated to a more modern look with addl. seating. The cozy feeling is gone, and in its place, an echo chamber. It is a very small shop, every sound bounces off the walls — LOUD! Between chattering customers and the barristers banging the old coffee grounds from the expresso machine — the sound waves are a bit abrasive. I like the abundance of tables — but again — the noise level — positively deafening.

The charm has officially left the building. What happened to the cozy feel and serenity of this place? Is this the new direction Peets is going in? The energy and décor was so intense it seemed chaotic. I couldn’t hear myself think. The direction to go and wait for coffee & to place your order was so confusing. People were also cutting in front of me to try and navigate to the bathroom, which was frustrating. And my Carmel latte is so watered down tasting. For the first time I couldn’t wait to leave and unfortunately won’t be visiting again.

It wasn’t that long ago when I looked forward to Fridays: the office is a little less crazy and the end of the workday meant the start of the weekend. However, now when Friday rolls around I find myself mentally and physically exhausted. I work a half day, leaving the office early in order to attend grief counseling at the CC Crisis Center( ). Not far from that center is this Peet’s coffee — a perfect place to grab a pick-me-up before my meeting. Peet’s is in a plaza across from Heather Farm Park and the parking lot is usually pretty crowded here — there’s Fitness 19 gym( ) and Sports Basement( ), plus a ton of other shops and restaurants. Last Friday however, I found parking quickly and was happy there was only a short line inside Peet’s. I ordered a caramel Javiva from Melissa. She made me the delicious blended espresso treat and David topped the frozen drink with a pile of whipped cream. I’m in love with the caramel Javiva! My order was super fast and the staff were both so friendly. I look forward to coming back on Fridays to brighten up my difficult afternoons.

I just love Peet’s in general for their coffee. I do like Starbucks but if I had to choose between the two then it would definitely be Peet’s for the fast and friendly service and the better tasting coffee. Not only is the coffee better tasting but it’s a little stronger to get you through the work day.

I was here yesterday. I ‘like’ EVERYTHING about this PEET’S…except the Wi-Fi is SOOOOSLOW ! Why is that? Please don’t tell me wer’e ‘working’ on it’…I did a ‘speedtest’ on my broadband, while there…1st time was: .92 Mbps… HELLO? 2nd one was: 1.2 I’m here @ SBUX& I’m getting 9.8…Hello again… No wonder it was 70% EMPTY… I really really do not enjoy to be the guy that constantly whines & complains… however, you leave me NO choice. I have NO ‘reason’ to re-load my PEET’S Card… what’s UP with that?

Loves Pete’s Coffee. Large ice coffee with room for cream. Very smooth and not bitter. Favorite is Major Dickenson. They have a proprietary blend for their ice coffee. If I am to be honest, much better than Starbucks. Did encounter a strange old dude out front chewing gum like a cow. WTH, takes all kinds to make the world go round.

Nothing like an ice coffee in the afternoon. Needed a quick pick me up and instead of drinking something healthy, I went for delicious. The line was short, the service was good and the coffee was strong, I just wish I would’ve gotten a large because I drank it like it was wattah and it was gone in a flash. More Please!1

This Peet’s is in a great location, since I work just around the corner. I come a little early and get some work done here. I love the abundance of seating and outlets! It never seems to crowded when I come in, but there’s certainly a steady flow of customers coming in the door. All of the baristas are super friendly and the bathroom is well maintained. Also, 10 cent discount if you bring your own cup!

Pros: Good service and nice baristas. Good drinks. Typical Peet’s coffee. Lots of parking Cons: I have a tiny gripe about the noise level. I feel like either the music is too loud or the place is so small that everyone’s voices just overlap each other. I came to meet up with a tutor once and I could barely hear him at times despite him being in front of me. The other time, I could barely hear my friend on the phone. This doesn’t typically happen to me at other cafés.
