Terrible!!! Avoid at all costs, food is good, standard dd(I love dd!!!), but the gentleman that helped us was horrendous, rude, and charged us a $ 1.89 for just hot water in addition to our food!!! Short story: food good, employee is spawn of Satan.

I think if this place was Not In such a great location. There doors would close. Customer service is terrible, the English and understanding of English terrible. Cleanliness do-able. Luckily Dunkin has a stamp on it’s product and it is good. Next to the subway and several connecting buses, I stop here, but if another coffee place open with comparable price and product opened near here. Bye bye Dunkin Donuts. This location is on point with its convenient access to all transportations and that is it. Get your coffee and then your connecting transport.

Here’s what they did wrong: 1. One Ethiopian staff member told me I didn’t belong in the ethnic group I belong in, presumably because I didn’t speak one of the languages of the region. 2. They gave me the most disgusting cup of coffee I’ve had in about 3 – 4 years. 3. They gave me a donut that looked like it has been stepped on. 1, Explained: Disgusting service, appalling comment. I am an English speaking Eritrean-American. I don’t deserve to be condescended because of my American-born accent and lack of Amharic skills. Amharic is not my mother tongue. It’s not my problem. 2, Explained: When I first sipped the coffee one my way home, I almost spit it out. I don’t know if these are Eritrean-hating Ethiopians, or if this coffee is just horrid, but it was unacceptable on every level. Dunkin Donuts may not provide«gourmet» coffee, but it should at least be drinkable/palatable. 3, Explained: I honestly need help understanding how a staff member rationalizes providing a customer with a flattened donut. I wasn’t even aware of its condition until I got home. Unfortunately I’ve dealt with a lot of Ethiopians in the D.C. area who are convinced that I’m sub-human because I’m Eritrean, speak no Amharic and because I have an American-born accent. It’s pretty sad to see this play out at this location(and most likely) cause the nauseating service. I’m definitely not coming here again.

Very convenient location as it is at the corner right near the Eastern Market metro stop. Nice location size, and they have an upstairs eating area. This location also has a Baskin Robbins inside which is nice since there are no ice cream shops on 8th street! The service isn’t great here but it doesn’t suck either. They are usually not very excited to take your order. not a big deal as I usually just come here for a quick cup of coffee. Often there are people outside the shop asking for money or food which can make it uncomfortable to walk past them and go inside.

Great service. Came here for the Baskin Robbins ice cream after drinks and food at a local bar. We each got a scoop in a sugar cone. We were able to have samples before we decided on what we wanted. Ice cream cones were yummy but we had to eat carefully because the single scoop sat on top of the cone. Busy location and friendly service.

Without failure, the Dunkin’ Donuts brand had gone from sugar to sh… this store has proven that time and time again! If it’s not the PRODUCT(stale, hard, old, over cooked) it’s the PEOPLE!!! Who puts a maple glaze donut in the bag upside down?! Who puts items in the bag that you did not order?! Well, to find out the answer to that question just visit this store. Not to mention all of the homeless, smelly people adoring inside at the window! This is not the way I planned on starting my Monday morning. To the young lady at the cash register, customers should ALWAYS be greeted! And you should have the common courtesy to wait until the guest that you are in the process of helping walks away before so rudely moving on to the next guest. Lastly, the manager at the store did not sound apologetic of sincere in his piss poor attempt to rectify my situation. I do not need a $ 2.97 refund, I need for their employees and their product to live up the the Dunkin’ Donuts I grew up loving since being a child I the 80s. Let’s get it back to good!

Have been there 2 times. I like their ice cream but seems like their staff need some training. They do not have knowledge about ice-cream names&ingredients. Each time, had to finger point what we wanted to have.

Hands down the worst DD in DC. Inconsistent and allows loitering so I don’t feel safe here. I would not go alone when the street traffic is light. The employees don’t care and don’t adhere to promotions. They consistently make up rules to overcharge customers. They aren’t correctly ringing the 99 cent refills and blame that customers didn’t sign up correctly on the app. They also won’t take their own«free donut» from the survey coupons and give me a different excuse each time. I’ve visited 4 times to make sure it wasn’t a one off thing but there is literally drama every time. It’s just coffee and donuts. It’s not that complicated. This location is literally horrible and the owners should be ashamed. If corporate saw how this chain interacts with customers they would most likely take away the franchise. Please don’t waste your money here. Also burned coffee and stale donuts. So not even worth the horrible customer service and sketch atmosphere.

Terrible. I have two children and recently stopped here after my daughter’s dance class. I bought myself a fruit tea(more on that later), a bottle of whole milk for my daughter, and some«munchkins»(aka donut holes) for her as well. First complaint: I tried to order a small cup of whole milk for my daughter. They said they didn’t carry whole milk. I find it extremely hard to believe that this DD, which serves a variety of coffee drinks, has no whole milk. They showed me to bottled whole milk, in their cooler, which I happily bought. Now to my second complaint… #2-I paid about $ 6 for our food. I’m prefacing with that, because I then asked for a small, empty plastic cup and lid to pour my daughter’s milk into(THAT I JUSTBOUGHTFROMTHEM) so she wouldn’t spill it, because she is two, and carry around an open bottle was an inevitable disaster. APPARENTLY, they are not allowed to give me an empty plastic cup. The ones that they make the cold coffee drinks in. No matter that I just bought three items from them, and three employees confirmed this ridiculousness. So now I’m irritated, and decide to just leave, with my two children. Of course, before we even make it out of the store, my daughter spills her milk. I told the staff, politely, that I was very upset that they refused to give me something so simple that would allow my daughter to enjoy the milk I JUSTPURCHASED from them. They then told me I could buy an empty plastic cup from them for $ 1-something. Whatever. As I am now angrily exiting, an employee runs up to me, hands me an empty coffee cup(???), and says«Here, but next time you have to pay for this.» THATISNOTWHAT I HADEVENREQUESTED. #3 I tried two flavors of their fruit teas and both were terrible and syrupy. The first was syrupy and not sweet(peach), and then I tried a raspberry one(I think?) that was also not good. #4 The munchkins(donut holes) were stale, and it wasn’t even noon yet, and they were in a sealed container. Obviously not fresh(yesterday??). I will NEVER visit this establishment again. The staff were not helpful, the food & drink wasn’t good, and there are a ton of better options right there(Starbucks, Peregrine, etc.)

I’ve tried for the last 18 mos to enjoy this place as a sit down coffee shop to enjoy my coffee and work on my lap top, but it’s impossible. Without fail, I’m harassed by at least two homeless people. They are certainly harmless but we shouldn’t have to deal with this as a paying customer in a professional establishment. Forget about using the restrooms because there’s usually a homeless person showering in the sink. Plan on waiting 10 min for their shower. The internet never works but that’s okay because you can get Starbucks wireless from across the street. The service is good as are the donuts. My advice is to grab your food and get out of the place as fast as you can. I usually get the donuts and go to nice Starbucks at 3rd and penn.

Excellent location — Metro Accessible and right off Pennsylvania Avenue Parking can be a little tricky on 8th Street, but if you are lucky enough to have a Zone 6 sticker you get a few more options This location is huge with a nice upstairs lounge area that has huge enough windows you can people watch to break away from your favorite book/lap top and give your eyes rest. Police hang out here a lot — which ensure safety for patrons Prices/Staff comparable to other locations.

Value for price and Dunkin Donuts is always good. This location: if you hit a line, it moves slow. Connected to a Baskin Robins. Hard to put my finger on it, but this DD is just not as «friendly» as other locations.

This palce is my go to spot for my morning tea. The staff is friendly however the amount of people around the store begging for money is annoying. Also for some reason this store does not have samples unlike all other DD the first week of every month.

You all know dunkin, consistent food and great coffee. This location is no exception… I am always torn because there is a starbucks right across the way! There can be long lines here but they move quick, the staff are pleasant and work to please. The food is generally fresh(once in awhile I get a donuts that is not as soft as a fresh donut should be), and there is a baskin Robbins in the house for great cones and milkshakes! I am happy to live so close to this great spot!

They always seem to have a long line which is annoying for when I want a small, black coffee. It is very reasonably priced, however, so I do make my way over there every once in a while. Their bathrooms situation is questionable. You need keys to get in and once only one of the bathrooms was working.

Some people hate on Dunkin’ Donuts like my bf, but honestly it ISN’T that bad! I had to get Dunkin’ Donuts because it is one of the places that makes up the east coast! The cutest things are their donut holes. You can get chocolate and regular glazed donut holes in a clear cup. How they decorate it is cute! They have tons of donuts and they should be fresh. Their breakfast items can be ehh… since it is fast foodiish! I got their Hazelnut Iced Coffee. It was really cheap and they have pretty much every flavor. Clearly it is just the syrup that adds the flavor, so sometimes the coffee could be a hit or miss. It isn’t like Starbucks quality coffee… but Dunkin Donuts coffee does the job… keeps you caffeinated! Average place, and I still choose to go here!

Great place to hit up before work. I prefer the caramel iced latte to the regular, because then I don’t have to add any extra sugar. The two donuts I had there(glazed and blueberry cake) were both delicious. I really want to try their munchkins, but all the good flavors seem to be gone by the time I get there(bavarian cream munchkin — I want you in my mouth!) Of course I’ll be coming here again … and again … and probably some more after that too. EDIT(8÷21÷08) The munchkins are delicious. But I won’t be ordering the coffee coolatta again.

Want to study/work and get free wifi with no hassle? This is the place to go for a marathon session. I’ve never had to fight for a seat here, unlike the at the local places(Port City and Peregrine) and the AC is ALWAYS working(very vital yesterday when my internet was out and Peregrine was at half-power and it was almost 100 degrees). A better than average Dunkin, partially because it has a Baskin Robbins and some actual food(not great, not bad), but mostly because they have a reclusive upstairs with a nice view of Barracks Row. I do love Dunkin’s coffee, but this branch in particular has a synthetic plastic smell in the actual establishment. Boo. You will have to purchase something to get the wifi though for all of you shameless moochers out there — the code is on your receipt. Plenty of outlets for your electronics, and it’s quiet upstairs.
