It cost me $ 47 to have a special occasion ruined. I had my maid of honor dressed hemmed(and wow the price for taking off a couple of inches!) and ask for them to save the fabric to make a special gift for the bride from all the bridesmaid dresses. They told me no problem and assured me they’d save it and pin it to the dress when I picked up the dress they told me they threw away the fabric even after I asked them to save it and told them why. When I got home, the dress isn’t even the right length and now I have to have it altered AGAIN! Biggest waste of my time and money ever and a ruined keepsake for the bride. Buyer beware.

Highly disappointing experience. The first and last time I’m going to this place. They’ve had my leather coat there for alterations and apparently can’t get it done(replace a few hooks) because the woman who alters the clothing«has to go on her own time» to purchase the hooks. I went in once already to pick up the coat and it wasn’t ready. I called more than a week later to find out that they still did not have it done because«they were backed up with other alterations» and again, because the workers there would have to go on her own time to get things fixed? I was told by personnel there that I should just come and pick up the coat because they don’t know when it would be done, that it’s not their fault, because they have to work with a not so reasonable manager/owner. Also, when I went to pick up my clothes, there was a piece missing from my set for some reason and I had to yet again, make another trip to retrieve my clothing when it came in. This place is also very on the high-end of dry cleaning for no particular reason. There are about 15 other dry cleaners in the Capitol Hill area off East Capitol and 11th, so do yourself a favor and explore the others. This place is not worth the hassle.

I had been going there for a year and getting decent service, though there were some minor irritations such as them never being able to find my stuff because they had my middle name as my first name. I corrected them, but did they ever bother to fix it? No. Some of the people who work here can’t speak English well. That’s frustrating when there are big problems… Like i dropped off some pants to be hemmed and they forgot to hem it because they are«busy». I only found out when I got home. They won’t even refund your money over the phone, you have to come back ugh-gain for that and they don’t compensate you for their mistake. Well, i’m busy too. They also lost the sash on a fancy dress I have and did nothing to compensate me.

Bait and switch – FAIL! The past two times I’ve dropped item(s) off to be laundered the price upon pick-up was $ 10 and $ 15 more than stated on my receipt at drop-off. I will not be back, and I suggest you never go in the first place. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

Good service and reliable, and they do nice work on alterations. Im not quite sure what to make of their stalled efforts to multitask the place into a coffee joint.
