My friend and I came in looking for two types of men’s jeans. The sales associate was unable to find them both in their store as well as on their website. While we waited for her to look for the denim, we were freezing– the temperature inside was absolutely frigid! Not only was her inability to locate the jeans irritating but so was the condition of the store, even if they had what we wanted, I would not want to stay long shopping in arctic temperatures.

True Religion jeans are expensive, it’s true. They are also nicely styled, very comfortable, and wear well. Unfortunately, they are marked up to above the $ 300 price point in Canada, so I was really excited to get the chance to get some new jeans at a less absurd price while in the US. This store location is quite small, but reasonably stocked, with high shelves. I visited on a Monday morning, and I was the only customer in the store. The service was non-existent. There was one staff member folding pants that nodded at me when I came in. I did not receive any offers of help finding anything, and I was left to browse the jean wall by myself. When I picked out a few pants I wanted to try on, I had to ask and was silently handed the pants. One style didn’t have my size in stock, but he didn’t ask if I wanted help selecting alternative styles. I wasn’t asked how the pants fit, and when they weren’t what I was looking for, I didn’t feel like trying to navigate the walls of pants by myself. So I left, without any acknowledgement from the staff member as I walked out the empty store. It’s safe to say that if I had received even an iota of help from the staff member I would have probably purchased something, as I really wanted jeans. I’m sure this store will survive based on brand recognition, but it’s a great lesson of how not to treat a customer.

$ 200 dollars for a pair of jeans?! Yeah, right! If that’s the cost of a pair of jeans becasue they are made in the USA, then I’m a commie who will stick to his Levi’s jeans. Putting aside the cost of jeans, the staff seem pretty friendly and polite, but the customers or rather the clientele could sue a bit more education. If, I’m going to shop for $ 200 jeans, I’d rather not need to spend my entire shopping experience here«N’ger» this, and«eff» that for a half hour straight, and utterly amazed staff would not speak up considering there were small children in the store. If this is the demographic, for this brand, then count me out, I’ll go buy a pair of RRL or Denim and Supply jeans at the same cost with less potty mouth.
