Went here desperate for some Chinese after a very long race. My body clearly wanted some salt! Ordered the lunch sesame chicken and it was pretty good. I have always looked scornfully at this place because of the riff raff and the all the signs in the windows (I generally have a distaste for restaurants who advertise with photos.). The food was hot, tasty and perfectly crisp.
I give it 4 stars for what it is a corner takeout offering way too many varieties if food items.
On my snobby scale 3 (typically my foodie side).
I’ll be back when it mood strikes and when the riff raff quotient is low. (It’s not this places fault that this corner is a hangout for them. So don’t hold that against them either).

Honestly, I was surprised at the food. It was delicious! The vegetables were so very fresh, as were the shrimp. The blending of veggies and shrimp was pretty darned good.
Definitely would not want to eat in this restaurant. Lots of riff-​raff hang out just outside the door. My preference is to eat where I am comfortable.
The one thing that would make this ‘neighborhood joint’ better would be if they delivered.

You know it and I know it. Sometimes you just have to succumb to your urges and eat a crap load of greasy fried chicken. I would gorge elsewhere. A group of friends and I got take out from here and were sadly let down. Their chicken is juicy, but flavorless, the breading just blah. The rolls are seriously just the same crappy ones you can get in the grocery store bread aisle, they don’t even break them apart, they just give you a massive sheet of rolls! The stench of greasy haunted my friends house for days afterward, as did the brick in my gut. I am on a quest to find the best fried chicken in DC, and I can safely tick this one off the list.
