This was my first time for lunch. They have a lunch, happy hour and dinner menu. It was a bit confusing from the recorded message whether you needed a reservation. I think for dinner you might need a res, but we just popped in for lunch. Between my friend and I we had Chardonnay, Panty Peeler Beer, Cheese Filled Dates, Quinoa Salad, Chicken Sandwich and Chocolate Flourless Cake Dessert. Everything was great. I love the atmosphere, the cozy nooks, the old wooden floors and the convenient location. It’s the kind of place you want to grab a drink and just sit and talk with a good friend. We’ll be back.

The ambiance was great, appetizers were great, wine selection was ok, beer selection was ok, staff was great and attentive. I’ve had better entrees and larger portions from places that were a lot cheaper but they are yet another valley place that has the market covered. All and all a place I’ll eat at in the future just not routinely.

My mother and I had a mid day lunch here. The selection was small for the med day menu, but it was delicious. We even ordered a second order of stuffed dates. I had my fist glass of wine here and it changed my hole view on wine. They have a beautiful outside seating area in their garden with tall trees and colorful flowers. This is the perfect place to have a glass of wine and enjoy beautiful Wasilla.

My husband recently brought me here and come to find out it has been around for 7 years. I was amazed to see how much Wasilla has grown on our way to go to this fine establishment… that has been in business for 7 years. And upon arrival I found this place not only to be romantic but all of the staff was very knowledgeable and all of the food and wine was spectacular. I cannot wait to return. I will be going there for every special occasion I can think of. You just have to see it to believe it. It is absolutely unbelievably the most awesome restaurant I have seen in many many years. And I have been around. Thank you so much for teaching so much about wine and food and everyone was so kind. I wish I could post a picture but I think I did on TripAdvisor.

The food sucks. Overpriced and pretentious. The décor is nice, warm and inviting. The service is great. But the food is expensive and bad. Did I mention this place’s food is expensive and bad? If I pay 30 bucks for an entrée I expect it to be as good as a weeknight recipe from cooks illustrated. That’s the whole point of going out, right? No such luck here. People keep talking about the dates. Wrapping fruit and cheese in bacon is lazy and cheap. They are tasty, because sweet and salty and creamy works, but not 12 dollars for 4 bites tasty. Not many things are worth 3 dollars a bite. Lake Champlain 5 star filled praline hazelnut bars are like 1.5 bites for 4 dollars and the best thing available for your mouth hole besides Kobe beef, which I will come to soon enough. Let’s not pretend these dates are even close to that level of godliness. I guess they are exciting for people who haven’t been to a mediocre midrange restaurant before. Seriously, if you like these dates, try making them. Step one get a date. Step two put goat cheese on it. Step three wrap in bacon. Step four bake in oven until bacon is done. Step five I can’t remember if it was sauced or not but probably it was just a basic balsamic vinegar reduction thing. Google how to do that in 2 minutes. Step six sell them outside this restaurant for 2 dollars a bite and you will make a fortune. The«Kobe» beef sliders were an embarrassment. Enough with the Kobe. Kobe beef is from Japan and anyone who would make a burger out of it gets a katana through the gullet. Just call it Wagyu, you aren’t fooling anyone. Anyone who thinks they have had Kobe beef needs to fly somewhere that serves Kobe beef and buy a few bites of it for 100 bucks(not kidding). I recommend Alexander’s in the SF Bay Area. If these burgers have higher quality meat you can’t tell. Turkey Red’s(Palmer) normal sized non-Kobe burger is at least 499x better. So is the in and out gas station burger(also in Palmer). I can’t remember exactly why the grape tap burgerlings were so bad since it was a while ago. I just remember not being able to complain, since I am always nice to servers about the food because of cowardice. We had other things but I got too depressed writing this and can’t continue.

My husband and I went here twice. The first time was on Valentine’s Day and everything was cold. We thought it was because it was mass produced they only had 2 reservation times. We decided to give them another shot and we were sorely disappointed again:/ the gravy or sauce on our filet mignon tasted like packet gravy and the mashed potatoes were blah. It took my husband 20 minutes to get another beer and our server was hard to find. We will not be returning

My wife and I like this place. The food is usually pretty good. The atmosphere is pleasant. The staff is professional but not terribly friendly(which is fine by me). The one downside — it’s a little speedy. Bring your wallet!

Made reservations for 6 last weekend and had a great dinner. Delicious food, great atmosphere. I would absolutely make the drive out to the valley just to visit and eat again. The bacon wrapped dates and the scallops were both good choices. Yum yum, can’t wait to go back

By far, The Grape Tap is one of my favorite restaurants in Wasilla. It is the perfect place for a romantic date night or for having a nice, relaxing dinner with friends. I have NEVER been disappointed by the food, wine options, dessert, or service. I recommend the Trio of Dips as an appetizer, any of the entrees, and either the crème brûlée or mudslide pie for dessert(careful, the pie is a large slice of deliciousness!). I highly recommend making reservations ahead of time. This is quite a popular place!

THEBEST restaurant on our trip to Alaska. There is NOTHING like it here. We are spoiled living and dining close to Boston, Portsmouth, NH and Portland, ME. We are foodies and appreciate good wine. CHOOSETHISRESTAURANT. You will not be disappointed! We shared 2 wine flights(a white and a Pinot) the Kobe Beef Sliders, the«Not so Cheap» Dates, and the Scallops. All three plates were delectable. The scallops were cooked perfectly — nice crust and super tender. The beef sliders were expertly seasoned and oh so tender. The dates were so fun! The flavors were all so amazing — we had been craving a good meal since we had arrived in Alaska 12 days earlier. The only restaurant that came close was the Glacier Brewhouse in Anchorage. An honorable mention to our waiter, Ian, who was kind, just the right amount of chatty, and respectful even though we were slightly embarrassed having come to Alaska with only carry on bags and clothes for exploring the outdoors. Haha. He was just as spectacular as the food. 5 stars for Ian! Wait — we had dessert too! Cheesecake and Chocolate(flourless) cake. Simply amazing!

Finally a good restaurant in Wasilla! Hubs and I sat at the bar on our date night. Decided to go wild and get whatever we wanted. I got a raspberry vanilla champagne cocktail and he got a mother ale beer. We shared the blackened steak tips as an appetizer and then i had the seafood trio and he had duck. Wow were extremely pleased. The food was fabulous as was the service. Mudslide pie for desert. Highly recommend this place.

Jasmine took excellent care of us. She was very accurate on the portion sizes and recommended a great Oregon Pinot to accompany the Fettuccini. The cheese plate was good but the surprise was how good the bread was. The fettuccini was delicious. The pork chop was amazing; so much flavor. We also really enjoyed the espresso crème brûlée and the Apple pear berry crisp.

Found this place on Unilocal and my wife liked the menu. We arrived at 5pm on a Friday without a reservation… was told we had to finish by 630. I figure no problem since we walked in right at 5. We were taken downstairs, will has a much better atmosphere. The server was prompt, polite and knew the menu. We ordered right away, by 510pm. Here is my take on the meal: Artisan bread– nice but not worth $ 7 for 4 rolls Beet and goat cheese salad– very good but not special Ahi — ahi was ok… small portion, but Wasabi rice too strong Lamb chops — actually rack of lamb– no flavor at all It took 45 minutes to get our food and we were the first ones to order. Nice place and staff, just over priced for quality and portion I will go somewhere else next time
