Ninos Mexican Restaurant

I was so excited when they reopened! Has always been one of my favorite places. I love the bit of a different twist on some traditional Mexican food –like the minichanga. And the hot sauce is to die for!

So I drove by a month ago and the place was empty, wait staff jumped up as we pulled up, usually a sign of bad restaurant or nobody knows it’s there. So we decided that time not to go. We tried Again today and saw a few cars so thought maybe we would try, we walked in and one table was used, a bad sign.
I hardly ever post anything negative about any restaurant but by far this has to be the worst Mexican food I have eaten at a restaurant. Sour cream sauce was so thick it was a pudding mixture, chili sauce was bland and looked more like a hotdog chili.
Rice had a weird flavor and tortillas was gummy on one enchilada and the other tortillas were under cooked.
I felt bad for the people walking in saying their first time, I almost told them to turn around.
Service was good but I really hope this was an off night because I hate to see a local business go away for one instance if that is the case.

LOVE THIS PLACE! We have been eating here since its first location by the old movie theatres. Awesome food and good enviroment. Hostess and waistaff are always polite and attentive. I always get the chimchanga and my wife loves the chicken fajita nachos. The warm salsa is the icing on the cake! We do not live in Waxahachie anymore, but anytime we are in the area, we always stop here for a bite to eat and grab some salsa to go.

I’ve heard so much about this place so we decided to give it a try. I ordered a half order of fajita nachos I mean who cant make nachos. Well i’ve never been to a restaurant where fajita nachos didn’t come with beans, guacamole or even sour cream. Yes none of those things very upsetting. My husband ordered fajita lunch plate. Omg so many onions and mushrooms we had to hunt for fajitas lol. This place is a joke thank you but no thanks we wont be coming here again. I do not recommend this place.

My family has always loved eating at Ninos. I like everything I’ve ever had. Most recently, I had the chickichanga. It was very good. This is definitely one of my favorite places to eat!

Ninos is a family owned well established mexican restaurant in Waxahachie, great salsa, great food and great friendly service you won’t be disappointed.

A Waxahachie classic! Delicious Tex-​Mex food and attentive, kind staff. We always enjoy our experience and they have my absolutely favorite salsa!
