Waffle House

I really love that waffle house provides good food with great prices. I wish it was bigger but thats what makes it feel like a diner. This waffle house is better than most, I have walked out of some before, but this one gets 4 stars.

I have never eaten in a Waffle House chain restaurant, usually go to IHOP or Denneys, they can’t all be like this one or they’d be out of business. The menu is so limited, a few kinds of waffles and hash browns and an omelet special. I wanted fruit on my waffle or French Toast but it’s not on the menu. Secondly, the place was poorly laid out. There are no large tables, our party of five sat at a table for four with an extra chair squeezed in. We were constantly being bumped by passers-​by because there was so little clearance. And thirdly, the room was not very clean. While we were waiting, we watched the greeter clearing tables for the waitstaff and he picked up dishes and swiped each table once or twice with the same questionable dishrag. My husband looked up at the ceiling and we wished he hadn’t. It was filthy – greasy and cobweb covered

Not as greasy as I remembered and we only had to wait a few minutes to get a table. Not bad for a Saturday morning. I had a plain waffle but my daughter loved the chocolate chip one. The boyfriend had a ham sandwich with hash browns. Wait staff was just meh.

Super-​friendly Waffle House that you can rely for accurate orders, pleasant small talk, polite dispositions and ever-​cheesy-​awesome eggs! I usually go with the «All-​Star Special» since you really cannot beat the value of it. Raisin Toast, Apple Butter, Crisp Bacon, (Light) Waffle and Hasbrowns. Fin.

I don’t live in Waxahachie but I’ve tried this place several times. On the weekend the people are friendly but there is no organization in terms of seating. No one takes names and the tables sit waiting to be cleaned. The place has a strong smoke smell but the tables are clean. Aside from all that the food is good and better than the adjacent IHOP. If you time it right it’s a solid breakfast to be had.

Between the very large portions of food, the very reasonable prices, cleanliness, friendly and competent staff (Sherry was awesome!) & quick service — 5 out of 5 stars! :)

I must say it’s been years since my last visit at any Waffle House. There really isn’t too much you can say about them. The service was the usual, «I really don’t like my job» attitude.
Sitting at the bar is a bad and good idea to the fact that you get to see the nasty areas of the waffle grills and how they handle and prepare your food.
Our food was good and I loved the thickness of the waffles and plentiful of pecans…:()
** I would have given 4 stars if the waffle area wasn’t sooo nasty all over and the cook stood there doing nothing instead of cleaning it, GROSS!!!
