I recently went to Kohls in Wayne, NJ in which I had a disagreement with a manager, Melissa. I have a $ 15 reward certificate, which means I spent $ 250 for the certificate. It expired on 1÷31÷16, and today is 2÷1÷16. So it is a day expired. Melissa refused to be any assistance to me whatsoever. I was told the coupon is not reissued, I just completely lose it. As a retail manager and long time associate, I know that if Melissa wanted to help, she can. She provided no other assistance even after I showed that I was very upset and eventually just walked away. I immediately called corporate in which they told me the store can redeem the coupon until 10 days after it expires. I understand and respect store policies highly but am very upset that this manager could not assist a loyal Kohls member for years. Kohls has always been a favorite store of mine that I’ve spent thousands at but after this experience I am going to pay my charge off and never come back. Like I said, as a manager of retail, Melissa did not react properly to this situation, especially if the customers happiness is supposed to be important.

Kohl’s has some great deals sometimes but I usually end up leaving the store. Why you ask? Because there will be a line of people waiting to pay and they will only have one or two registers open! I usually get frustrated and leave. This has happened several times so I usually will only shop there when most people are at work and not on the weekends.

I buy everything from Kohls. Generally I like them, I mean, 5 star like them. I found this Kohls cause I am work traveling and needed socks and underwear. I am allergic to the hotel laundry soap. I had a look at their coats, and I found one like the women wear in the city… I packed my pretty purple bubble coat which is fine for Kansas City, not here. The coat was only 44 $, and I am more than pleased with it. I asked if Kohls ships to my home, I got the answer, «Only if you buy at the kiosk.» «Where’s the kiosk?» I asked. «Over there,» the tired clerk replied. I looked and there wasn’t a kiosk. And I didn’t buy the coat from the kiosk. I bought it from the register. Previously, I had looked all around the store. I couldn’t find the customer service. The selection wasn’t as polished as my local kohls store. The employees were tired, no one around to help. I had to look everywhere to find the coats. The aisles didn’t seem well marked. Every coat was on a different sized hanger. I love what I bought. Love love love, but this Kohls can do better.
