Overall, this place is pretty good. The service is good, the place smells awesome, and the prices are right. However, the dishes themselves are a little hit or miss. I had the pad Thai the other day, and my son tried the royal curry, both of which were excellent. So my wife and I went back yesterday for lunch, and she had the orange chicken and I had a Thai chicken dish with spicy sauce (I don’t remember the name of the dish but it was #10 on the menu). We weren’t impressed with either one. In my case, they should have used dark meat in the dish instead of white meat, because while the veggies were cooked perfectly, the meat was overdone and dried out. The orange chicken my wife ordered had the same problem — they should have used dark meat instead of white meat, because while the crust of the chicken was perfectly done, the white meat inside was overcooked and dry.
So I’ve had two hits and two misses. Once I find three or four dishes they do well, I’ll probably just stick to those. One other thing, the hot and sour soup was the best I’ve ever eaten, bar none. Oddly, it came with saltine crackers instead of those fried Chinese crackers you usually get, but it was delicious nonetheless.
I also noticed that the pepper on the table was Chinese white pepper, not your usual black pepper. Kudos for that. Although I would have appreciated a dish of chile oil or Chinese hot sauce on the table.
Also, I asked for extra fish sauce with my pad Thai and they brought it. That’s always a good sign that the chef knows his stuff.

Food was VERY lack luster. Egg drop tastes like chicken pot pie, hot and sour soup was awful. Food was very bland and not good at all. Small portions. Waiter was nice but quite busy. Server forgot to bring our high chair after asking if we needed one. Our drinks were refilled once, at the end of our meal. Will NOT ever go back. Very sad there are good reviews here for this place and people think this food was good. They were quite busy so apparently people like it but have no idea what good Asian food is. I have had good Asian food and this was definitely not even close. Next time we will make the drive to Ft Worth for Szechuan or Wow House in Benbrook! Will not return ever. I make better Asian food at home! Plain and simple… the food sucks!!!

This place is really good, we have been going here for years. Our favorites are garlic chicken and broccoli noodles. The garlic they use is like shaved, fresh garlic. They sauté’ it to a slightly crispy texture, but softens when mixed with the food, very good… not just garlic powder or salt. We always ask for extra garlic. It keeps the vampires and the mosquitoes off of you!
Be sure and try the jalapeño sauce on everything. Its a light vinegary slightly spicy sauce that is so good. The egg drop soup is the best you’ll ever have. It’s not bright gold colored because of food coloring like everyone else’s. Its more of a creamy white color. I could eat a gallon of it in one sitting. With crunchy chow mein noodles dropped inside. They don’t serve alcohol so it’s BYOB, it’s cheaper that way anyway.

Stopped in for lunch because I saw they offered Thai dishes. Tried their Basil Chicken and wasn’t impressed. It wasn’t bad, it just lacked flavor… any flavor. Service was fast and friendly, nothing wrong there, it was the lackluster food that left me wanting.
That being said, it was pretty busy so maybe it was just my dish. I might give it another go.

I will never eat here again. I tried and tried this place hoping I would get something good eventually. No. Its just not good. My beef and broccoli didnt have sauce… it was more like soup… murky brown water soup. The kitchen smelled like dirty funk. Too many veggies in my dish It was just gross. The server was the nicest guy ever.

Tried this place and we were very happy with quality of food! Very fresh, very tasty and service was great! I’m not a fan of Chinese buffet food so finding this place was a great experience to enjoy quality food prepared fresh. No buffet food here! Portions are filling!
I had the Orange Chicken with Steamed Rice. The Egg Drop Soup was awesome!!!

Great place to eat. Bbq chicken is amazing. I have been coming here for 25 years. Never had anything bad. Often order by telling the staff surprise me so i get to taste different dishes. Always look forward to eating at golden moon.

I loved this place not the best I’ve ever had but definately in my top 10 Chinese/​Thai places. They don’t use msg in their food which is kinda hard to find in Chinese food and all the food came fast and hot. When we asked for to go containers they brought them with extra rice to take home thought that was cool

As always the food was great. We had the garlic beef and garlic chicken. The service is always great! Chris and Don are wonderful hosts. Thanks for a great lunch for my wife and I.

Century Noodle is the best dish! Ask for spicy if you need a little extra kick. The staff here is great. Always fresh food.

This place is great! Only spot that comes better close by as far as Thai food goes is rice and noodle off camp bowi. If your in weatherford give this place a try! Best deals are at lunch.

This is an exceptional restaurant. The food is delicious and the front of house has always been high quality. Have been eating here for 20+ years. It only gets better!

The name makes it seem like any other mediocre Chinese food restaurant, however, it’s a seemingly hidden jewel in an older shopping center off Main St. in Weatherford.
The lunch special is around $ 9, comes with tea, spring/​egg roll, soup, and entrée. I ordered the Hot and Sour soup, spring roll, and Red Curry. It was all fantastic. I was most impressed with the soup. I am not usually into Asian soups but the flavor was spectacular and I considered ordering a larger bowl to take home.
The staff was friendly! When i’m stuck in Weatherford, i’ll be dining here every time.

This has to be the worst place in weatherford to eat. I have tried this place twice now since moving back out here and both times it was a disaster. Food was bland and soggy for both of us. The restaurant reeked of stale cigarettes and garlic. Décor was outdated.
I can take all of the above since I’m a foodie, but when you serve me egg rolls that are indelible, we have a serious problem. I will drive to Fort Worth next time.

Golden Moon has some of the best food around and I can’t believe I haven’t been there in forever! The food is quite amazing. Friendly service, great portions and great food. I’ve dined in and taken out and I’ve never been disappointed. Sometimes tucked in places are the best places to go!

If you don’t want to travel to Ft. Worth, this is the place for Chinese food in Weatherford. The food is always served hot and made to order. They have some weird hours (they close at 2:30PM and re-​open later again for dinner) and their best prices are on their lunch menu which runs about $ 8 a person and comes with soup, an egg roll and a bottomless glass of iced-​tea. They always make my food per my request and they don’t use MSG. Great Chinese!
