If Possible, NEGATIVE5 stars!!! Worst doctor and staff ever! My fiancé hasn’t visited a doctor in years, this would be his first visit in over 10 years(excluding hospital doctors) Even from the very beginning this doctor and his incompetent staff gave warning signs that we should have taken seriously! First off, he called the office to make an appointment, the receptionist on the phone had advised him to just«come on in today.» So he did just that a mere 30 minutes later, and the lady told him that he could not be seen regardless of what the was spoken to him on the phone– not even an hour ago! so he was forced to make an appt for a future date then left. Secondly, when he finally visited the doctor, Makandura prescribed him a few medications, getting the first round of medications was stress free. But getting a refill was a DISASTER! My fiancé called the office and they advised him that they were going to send his medication to CVS and it should be ready in a few days. Two days passed, he calls CVS and they had NO record of his prescription. My fiancé was angry because he really needed the medication, he calls the office again and asks the woman on the phone why was it so hard for them to send the prescription over?! you know what she does… this biatch hangs up the phone! yes! hangs up the damn phone! I was so pissed b/c I overheard the entire conversation via speaker phone. He called back the next day and the girl said they were going to send it to CVS this time for sure it should be done by 5pm the same day. Guess what?! NOPRESCRIPTIONWASEVERSENT! He calls the office again, they apologize and swore they sent it… Well, they did, but they fked up on his birthdate! what type of office would provide a pharmacy with their patient’s INCORRECT information, something so simple as a 6 digit number?(birthdate) He visits the pharmacy and had everything sorted out finally. He takes the medication straight away and goes home only to realize THEYWERETHEWRONGMEDICATIONS!!! This incompetent doctor not only refused or maybe he forgot? to refill the medication but also got it wrong when he finally got around to it! Luckily they were just antihistamines and nothing more severe… I know that if this office/sorry excuse of a «physician» keeps up their unprofessional and dangerous work ethic, I can guarantee a malpractice lawsuit coming soon! While writing this review my fiancé has already switched doctors! STAYCLEAROFTHISPLACEIFYOUCAREABOUTYOURLIFE!

STAYAWAY!!! I would give this doctor a zero if I could. This doctor absolutely does not care about his patients nor does his staff know what they’re doing. I’ve had to call and follow up multiple times on my mothers authorizations to see her specialists. If someone is seeing a specialist it’s a very important they continue to seek treatment without interruption. This office doesn’t understand that. In fact I’m still having problems 3 months later!!! The Dr’s answer to me was, «she’s not the only patient.» Wow such insight he gave me that day! I wouldn’t recommend this doctor because like I said he does not care about his patients, isn’t very knowledgeable, is super slow at doing everything(expect to wait 1 ½ — 2 hours to see him for 2 minutes) and is extremely uncaring and unprofessional. Update: I just realized he gave my mom double the mg in her prescription meds. This is is deadly for my mothers condition. If it weren’t for me double checking his prescription refill my mother probably would’ve been hospitalized with fatal repercussions.

I work in the industry of guest and customer services and usually don’t take part in reviews because of how biased and inaccurate they can be. Unfortunately for Dr. Makandura and his staff, I feel the need to enlighten any new patients that are deciding which doctor to be their PCP. 1. It takes several calls to get an appointment because the Doctor is «quadruple» booked for WEEKS. They refused to take me any earlier disregarding the fact I was in the ER less than 24 hours prior and the ER doctor insisted I see my PCP immediately to get the necessary referral to a specialist. On the third call, made by the medical group rep, they finally«fit» me in at 2pm the next day. 2. If you are a new patient and think that arriving early for your appointment is being courteous to the staff, you are wrong! Especially if it would interrupt their lunch break 4 whole minutes before their break was over. Not only would you get kicked out, they would lock the door behind you and not allow you to come in until 8 minutes after the hour. 3. Upon arrival, you would notice that you and ONE other patient has arrived at the«quadruple» booked medical office. And not even to see your PCP, but the OTHER doctor that practices in the same office. 4. You finish your appointment and get sent to get blood work done and expect the results at the beginning of next week. Regardless of you being thorough, the doctor insists that all you need to do is call for the results of you test. After calling two consecutive days, leaving the necessary information with the medical staff, no calls will be returned. 5. Realizing that calls do not work, you take it in your own hands to arrive at the office to see your test results. Upon arrival at office, the same medical staff that previously took your information NOW informs you that you need to make an appointment. After being told by the doctor to just call, not receiving a call back AFTER calling and speaking to TWO different staff members that didn’t inform you an appointment needed to be made, you begin to question the competence of the staff. Thanks for always«fitting» me in on such busy days!!!(Sarcasm!) they need to understand that regardless of how busy you are, you are still in the service industry! And are dealing with an individual’s WELLBEING!!! Your lack of compassion, or feel of responsibility is important in such a position. It’s unfortunate that you are willing to lose people for attitudes and disregard for your job. I, we, as patients ultimately PAYYOURBILLS!!! Without patients, you have nothing! Get your act together! Lastly, HANGINGUPON A PATIENTTHATHASANOTHERQUESTIONISUNFORGIVABLE, VERONICA! You were the straw that broke the camel’s back! I will be requesting a new, compassionate and competent PCP and staff after I’ve received everything I’ve needed from you. PS– it’s fundRAISER. Not fundrasier…
