I have been relying on Ab McDonald for many years to handle my haircuts and trust nobody except for her. Her passion for hair and attention to detail always shine through her work. I have never met a hairstylist more knowledgable than Ab. Not to mention she is a very kind hearted friendly loving person. I have friends that I have sent to her over the years and they have all been very pleased with Ab’s work. It’s worth every penny and you will not be disappointed!

I love Ab! She’s amazing and she’s like a good boyfriend — I will NEVER leave her lol. She’s the only hairstylist I can say this about. Choose your hair people wisely !!!

Absolutely love Ab, and always look forward to coming and getting my hair done. She’s an amazing hair stylist and a wonderful person all around. I started out with dark dark red hair (biggest mistake of my life, don’t ever do it) and now it’s such a pretty HEALTHY blonde and I couldn’t be more thankful. I know blonde hair that’s healthy. What! She also uses products that do NOT contain chemicals which I never knew the difference, but now my hair is healthier and prettier than ever!!!

Ab is simply the BEST at what she does! After 2 of my other girlfriends came back raving about her skill I HAD to book an appt too! Ab took her time to ensure she gave me the right tone of highlights/​subtle ombré color to my dark brown hair and I couldn’t be more pleased! She’s very personable and I the whole time I was there I felt more like I was hanging out with one of my friends versus the first time at a new stylist! Highly recommend her!

AB IS THE CATS MEOW! She rehabbed my hair I thought I was going to have to shave off. It was completely damaged and in terrible condition after a bad dye job and she spent over 6 hours transforming it into something I get endless compliments on. She is detail oriented and highly educated on the science behind all her organic chemical free products. You’ll leave her salon with stronger, healthier hair and a lot of fantastic tips on how to keep it that way. If you have sensitive skin or issues with most chemicals in normal hair products, she is your girl.

The only person I will trust with my hair. She did an amazing job on my cut and I got compliments all day, I love my hair and the condition it’s in (now). Plus it was a blast hanging out in her salon and getting to talk with her! Great environment and chick!
She seriously knows what she’s doing and is insanely knowledgeable about haircare, naturally protecting & coloring your hair! Seriously, everything!
It was by luck and chance I ran into this lady and just the information on things I can do to my hair daily, not only my cut, have made a vast improvement in my hair.

My hair has been blonde my whole life, I have never once thought about trying any other color. Ab gave me the most gorgeous lavender platinum hair today and I freaking love it! My hair is healthier than it’s ever been because she only uses these amazingly pure chemical free products. Ab knows some serious chemistry when it comes to hair care and maintenance. She gave me a lot of good tips to take care of my hair and keep it healthy. I usually get a crunchy texture when I bleach my roots but this is the first time I have left a salon with super silky, HEALTHIER hair. I Highly recommend. I can’t wait to get a haircut from her next!

Ab is the ultimate Weave Tamer!!! A month ago I went to a different salon to get an ombré, and she completely messed up my hair… Thank god for Ab for not only fixing my hair, but giving my hair the vision I wanted and more! Ab knows the chemistry that goes into healthy hair and coloring is her specialty! It’s really hard to find a talented and trustworthy stylist in LA… Look no further Ab is your girl!

Okay, let me just say what an absolute pleasure it is to sit in Ab’s chair. Her skill and understanding of color, product and ALL things hair related is unparalleled to any stylist I have ever been at the mercy of. She far exceeded my expectations. I CANNOT recommend her expertise highly enough.

Ab is hands down the best stylist to ever touch my hair. I met her years ago styling my hair for a fashion show and adored her ability to handle my wavy hair despite never even touching it before that day. Naturally when the time came for me to get it cut I chose her. She gave me the unique, forward thinking, innovative hairstyle I had always wanted, but couldn’t seem to get from other, traditional stylists. She’s a pleasure to talk to and I would fully trust my hair in her hands any day! She takes risks– a move that pays off and sets her apart from the multitudes of other stylists throughout the country. Love her!!!

Ab always gets it right. I’ve gotten my hair cut by her 3 times and every time hers are the best cuts. Guy or girl you can’t go wrong with Ab. She is simply the best I have ever been to. Ever. Go to her and you will not regret it.

I can’t say enough positive things about Ab. We became friends after I started going to her for color, and my last appointment was for a new process called Agave Smoothing, which is an all-​natural smoothing treatment minus all the toxic chemicals. Ab is not only extremely knowledgeable of hair, but she cares about her clients and their health. She also introduced to me the Neuma haircare line which I adore! It’s an all-​natural plant-​based line that has transformed the health of my hair. Ab, thank you for everything!

I have spent a lot of money on my hair over the years — treatments, colour, cuts, not to mention a million dollars in hair products.
I wish I’d found Ab years ago, because I feel like I would have been spared a lot of upset as the result of bad cut/​color jobs.
I’ve never received as many compliments on my hair as I have after my appointments with Ab… which are, interestingly enough, few and far between. Her color lasts and her cuts grow out well.
My hair has a heavy, natural wave that seems to befuddle most hairdressers. But after a quality cut/​color/​highlight job that looks so natural even I have a hard time believing I paid for it (this is three months later, mind you), she suggested some amazing, high quality organic products that actually work. SHOCKER!
A month or so after my first appointment I went back so that we could treat my hair with an agave smoothing treatment that’s calmed the frizz and cut my hair’s dry-​time in half. When you’re still getting compliments months after your last appointment, you know you’ve found your Personal (hair) Jesus.
Add in the fact that Ab gives great service and is just so sweet and fun and dedicated to making her clients look *and* feel beautiful? Seriously why are you still reading this review, you should be making an appointment already!
