Weird setup. There’s a tree in the middle of the big room on the left of the restaurant. Come for drinks with someone you want to catch up with. It’s fairly quiet and usually not crowded. Don’t come if you’re looking to socialize outside your group– not much of a crowd.

This place is great. Michael was a wonderful host… I had planned my birthday here, and it was one of the best birthday’s I ever had. The food was yummy, the service was awesome… and the atmosphere was so chill. We had about 30 people in my party so for what I could remember foods that were tasty: Seared Ground Ahi Sandwhich The Boulevard Burger(French and California) Mac and Cheese Hot Wings Quesadilla Can’t wait to come back after the remodel to check it out :)

I still like the location of this place(I went yesterday) and the staff could not be nicer. I have to say though, the wine list is shitty and they are always out of something I ask for, every time! I do like this place though, a lot. Go check it out and sit outside on the covered terrace.

My boyfriend and I come in all the time for happy hour– everyday 4−7p.m. We love sitting outside, and the staff is always really friendly. We haven’t really tried much of the food since that isn’t our main concern when we come here. I remember the margherita pizza was good, and my bf has ordered the fish & chips before which he really enjoyed. The food does seem a bit over-priced, which is why we usually only get drinks and an appetizer or two. If you’re in the area during happy hour give it a shot!

I used to live a mere block and half from here. Ask me how many times I came to The Boulevard. Once. Mostly because I can’t afford to make a place like this my local. It’s not absurd, but just seems pricey and not a lot of food options for me. I know that 2 stars seems like I hate the place. I don’t. It just doesn’t seem like anything special. I recently stopped by again for a friend’s birthday. We had really great service, and I drank $ 8 glasses of wine. I have a hard time paying for mediocre wine when my wine cabinet at home is stocked with some good stuff. I was disappointed in the wine list, but maybe the speciality cocktails are there thing. I’m glad I went for the party, but even if I still lived around the corner, I don’t know how often I’d go here.

Are all the favorable 4⁄5 stars here in an alternate universe where this place is good? Gawd, where to begin? 1. Parking’s AWFUL. 2. Wait staff friendly BUT; unorganized, no memory, had to ask for EVERYTHING, lacks common sense. 3. Food: AWFUL. Fish got a veg burrito that tasted like someone mowed the lawn then rolled up the shavings in a tortilla. I got bacon and eggs over easy; eggs were overcooked to solid, bread was inedible but perhaps the biggest loser was the home fries, cooked up in pools of oil/grease with sprigs of herbs — I literally was picking out the twigs. HOWDOYOUSCREWUPEGGS, BACONANDTATERS??? Unbelievable… 4. Portions were miniscule. 5. Overpriced. 6. Although the ambiance is ok, it’s teeming with posers, the kind that give LA its bad rep. Summary; horrible service + over-priced horrible food + horrible parking = AVOID. One the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. If I NEVER go back here it’ll be way to soon.

Quick & Dirty: A Chic Shack in the heart of Hollywood. Kick ass happy hour and friendly service. Long & Roomy: Hollywood is a whore. You heard me, a dirty filthy, shameless WHORE! People use Hollywood and then just throw her away like the F’d up bitch that she is. The worst thing about Hollywood is the people, and ironically no one is actually from Hollywood. They are from somewhere else and moved there chasing the dream. If you grew up in So Cal and spent more than 5 minutes hanging out in Hollywood you know exactly what I’m talking about. It’s a nice place to visit but I’m always happy to leave it and go home. I went to The Boulevard Lounge after watching a screening of a friends new flick up the street. If you have the chance, go see it. We just happened to get there at happy hour and I bought a couple of beers which came out to $ 5.50! In HOLLYWOOD!!! WTF is going on? So needless to say I was a happy camper. This place sits right on the corner and has a huge patio which is great at sunset. You almost feel perched up in a tree house the way the building sits up off the street. There is plenty of room and it wasn’t crowded at all. Inside it’s modern and clean. The service is prompt and friendly, a huge plus for such a cool joint. Would I go again? Cool Beer, good friends, cheap drinks, on a Friday too! I’d love to go back and try the food. Should you go? Yes, there is a local vibe to this place that doesn’t scream snobby whore. Thanks, SAM

The Boulevard Lounge looks like a mobile home from a distance, but diner, don’t be fooled! At the front you’ll find candlelit tables on a deck, and in the back there is a bar with a big flat screen TV on the wall. We sat on the deck. The atmosphere is simple, but kind of elegant and even a little romantic. So the name of the place may be a little misleading, as it’s not much of a «lounge» in the modern sense. We came here Saturday evening, hoping to catch their happy hour(which we thought was before 8pm) but they had changed it three days earlier to before 7pm. No biggie. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. I got the featured drink, «Mayor of Castro Street» — it was a little too sour for me, but I’m GLAAD that $ 1 of it was donated to LGBT charities ;-D Our waiter was very helpful and recommended the bruschetta, which was amazing! Let’s just say it was much beyond my expectations. And service was friendly and fast. Having said all of that, I have to come back!

All I knew about this place was that it was in Hollywood… so I was ready for pretension and all that. Boy was I surprised. From the outside it looks like a shack. Inside, its a very chill space, something you’d expect to see in Santa Monica. We decided to stay for a drink and some appetizers. At the server’s recommendation we go the bruschetta, which was absolutely delicious! I didn’t get any of their fancy drinks, so nothing to write about there, but the service was fast and the atmosphere was great. My one complaint is that their policy recently changed so their happy hour ends at 7p instead of 8pm. How recently did they change these policies? Their menu still said 8pm, so really recently. So I wish I would have known and come half an hour earlier. Just something I’ll have to remember for my next visit!

I love this place, my boyfriend hates it! A perfect happy hour for me is sitting on the patio, drinking good wine, having good conversation, and inhaling my cigarettes. the boulevard offers a perfect atmosphere for all of this! The happy hour food is not spectacular so don’t expect a feast, but if you are just looking for a laid-back yet nice atmosphere to have good wine and good conversation, this is the happy hour spot for you!

Been here a couple of times and only in the bar area so this review doesn’t reflect the dining room service or menu. Pros: Full Bar, Bites, Happy Hour, Friendly New Staff Cons: Loud from Dining Room/Street, No Parking, Weird Layout, Small The first time was for a casual get-together I threw for a friend. The décor is nice enough for all types, the game was on, and the girls sipped martini’s on the couches adjacent to the dining room. There is a bar menu and the service was great. The next time was for a date and while the service was okay, and the décor hadn’t changed, nothing stood out, made it exceptionally comfortable, or screamed ‘come back’.

Went here for happy hour tonight with a friend. Expect to do the $ 5 valet, because parking is impossible. The happy hour prices aren’t that great. Wine was $ 1 off, so my friend’s was still $ 7. Many of the mixed drinks were still close to normal price. I had a pint of Stella from the tap that was $ 3,(normally $ 6 — beer was ½ off) which was closer to what I expect at happy hour. The happy hour food was very plain. I ordered the spinach salad and it was just a pile of spinach with a weak dressing and 3 walnut pieces.($ 6) My friend ordered one of the flatbread pizzas from the appetizer menu. She had to ask for some marinara on the side because it was literally just a small piece of flatbread with some olive oil, onion, thin tomato slices, and dry chicken.($ 9) We decided we wanted some fries and they took 45 minutes to show up. The waitstaff was rather lackluster and deadpan, but they did apologize about the fries and didn’t charge us for them. We finished up by splitting some bread pudding($ 8). It didn’t suck, but I’ve had better.

I went here last night for the first time based upon the reviews here and I have to say it was everything stated here on Unilocal and more. It is the perfect spot to enjoy excellent food and martini’s when in the mood for just that without any of the normal LA pretentions. We sat outside in the enclosed patio area and we were totally warm and comfortable. Service was lovely and personable(thanks Jimmy!!!). Music was nice background to enjoy and sometimes groove to while enjoying quality conversation. At one point we went inside to use the restroom and the interior is really well designed, warm and inviting. But, I digress — as we were leaving we were asked to sign a petition to keep The Boulevard open as they might be closing in a week! Hopefully all of you who are avid supporters will get back there right away to show your support and sign and those who have yet to check it out will do so as soon as possible. This place is great amidst all the other disingenous, trendy, overdone spots in LA and you will be happy you went and even happier you have helped to save it!!!

I have been wanting to try this spot for a while. I grabbed a gift certificate from and finally talked the boyfriend into going as he was craving a burger… We got there around 8pm on a Friday evening and were seated right away. It took us a while to figure out what we wanted and the server was patient and attentive. James ordered the burger«French» style(french: caramelized onions, bleue cheese, mayo, dijon mustard, champagne vinegar greens.) and I ordered the 5 Cheese Mac. I have eaten a LOT of mac and cheese in my day and this was easily one of the best. They apparently have a happy hour until 7pm — 7 days a week… Yep. I’m checkin that out asap.

Boulevard Lounge is just a few blocks from my new apartment so my roomie and I tried it out the other night just for drinks. I was drawn here by the Cubs flags hanging outside — I’m a huge Cubs fan, and more importantly, a huge fan of the bars around Wrigley Field. We were there fairly early(9ish) but there were enough people there to make us feel social. Atmoshphere was great, music wasn’t too loud and the musical selection was really great for chatting. Plus we did a little celeb sighting — Justin Kirk from Weeds was there. I must say it is nice to find a bar in the heart of West Hollywood that is not filled with shirtless men(don’t have a problem with that scene, just not for me!). We both drink simple drinks, and they were mixed just right; not to strong, not too weak. Definitely not the cheapest though– $ 11 each. That said, they have a respectable beer selection for $ 5. All in all a very enjoyable, relaxing experience, just like an early bar night in Wrigleyville. I’ll be going back, probably on a busier night.

A friend and I went here for dinner. It’s casual, but they’re serious about food. We began with appetizers. My friend had the crostini with andoule sausage strips and cheese. Spicy, but delicious. Four crostini pieces surround an island of salad. I ordered the spinach salad with bleu cheese, walnuts, bacon and champagne vinaigrette. The amount of spinach was very generous along with the other ingredients and very tasty. We both ordered the dry smoked baby back ribs with red rice and beans along with a small piece of corn on the cob. The meat fell off the ribs so you know they were cooked good and long. A bit spicier than I liked, but very tasty nonetheless. The ribs were $ 19, one of the most expensive items on the menu. We split a dessert, the bread pudding with maple syrup. Not cloying sweet, but sweet enough and a large helping of it too. Service was attentive with waters being refilled without asking and plates being whisked away as we were done. I’d definitely go back. The happy hour looks like it could be a lot of fun.

Trickest mobile home I’ve ever seen. This place is on the corner has a great view of the heavily tree’d intersection of Crescent Heights and SMBlvd. The happy hour is not half bad at all. I think we’ve had everything on the menu. They even have a bling hot dog. Oddly enough, it’s damn good. The cocktails are strong. This place looks like a über swank mobile home. Hell, it even may be one. At any rate, go here. You’ll be happy you did. Don’t half step. Get the dog… you know you’re curious.

A cute little place with a lot of attitude — but I don’t mean that in a bad way. It has sort of a sexy roadhouse kind of feel(go with me here) but maybe I only feel that way because it feels like it’s off the side of the road — keep in mind I’m from New York, we don’t have roadhouses here. I was told by my friend who suggested this place that the thing to order is the burgers. I say plural because it comes with two smaller ones rather than one big one. I went with the French preparation which consisted of carmelized onions and blue cheese. Delicious and juicy. Minus half a star for the fries which were sort of stale and tasted like those potato crisp things that come in bags but aren’t potato chips — clearly I ate them anyway. Good dirty martini too. And minus another half star for the upsetting cover band that was playing the night we went. No, I don’t need to hear your versions of Hungry Like the Wolf and Comfortably Numb. We managed to tune them out and have a nice dinner anyway. Thumbs up.

This is a cute swank lounge in WeHo, I was here for a private party so didn’t sample the food on the menu or cocktails, but the food we saw looked appetizing. The parking situation does look like a hassle for the area– the neighborhoods are permit only, the valet was not accepting any more cars it seemed, and so meters(free after 6!) were our best bet. Luckily we found one right out front. The atmosphere here is fun and cozy, it has a bit of an old Hollywood feel to it too. If I’m in the area I may stop in again.
