La Fountain – West Valley

Went to this restaurant for the first time during the late afternoon on a week day and I was very impressed. The place is really clean inside and the service is professional, friendly and prompt. We were seated right away and our drink order was taken almost immediately. Our server came by just the right amount — not too often and not too little. She made sure our drinks stayed full and the food came out quickly. At one point, either the manager of chef came by to check on us as well. I dared to order seafood, the shrimp enchiladas, and they passed the quality test. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and tasted fresh (maybe they were actually frozen then thawed, but good none the less). My dish was perfectly spiced for a Gringo, and hot sauce was made available in the side. I’m not s huge fan of this type of Mexican food, but give it five stars relative to similar restaurants.

This place is around the block from my house. We stopped in for a quick bite after doing yard work all day. I feel that I’m most likely in minority in my criticism of this place because when we went, it was PACKED. There’s very little difference between this place and La Puente. The options available all seem repetitive. It’s basically a question of where you want your protein in conjunction to your tortilla. All the beans that come with these meals are heavy and oily and leave me feeling gross after eating them. After a couple of bites all the flavors just sort of mush together and end up looking like vomit on your plate. Honestly, I’d sooner end up at Beto’s eating in my car before returning to this place. It’s all just very unimpressive. This is by no means a hit to the management or servers. As a matter of fact, this location specifically is very modern and clean. I just think that corporate needs to change the menu up… but on the other hand, like I said, this place was packed, so maybe they don’t need to do anything because apparently I’m the only idiot who isn’t a huge fan of this place.

this place is good if you want a big meal with good flavor with some exceptions. dont order guacamole or refried beans.
1) the food was very tasty and seasoned propertly.
2)I ordered some guacamole and it was Brown this is very disappointing and unappealing. «Lime or avocado seeds will reduce the oxidation.»
3)the refried beans taste lake they have way to much lard or «old».
Everything else was good :-)

So, generally my family likes this place (me included), but I found some pretty questionable things in the chicken chimi that my husband brought home to me. One thing looks like it could be something that should have been cut off from the chicken, but could also be paper towel or something. The other thing, I’m pretty sure, is mouse poop. My husband smashed it a little while inspecting, but we’re quite positive it’s not a spice or a seed. If you don’t mind the random assortment of «flavors» in your food, this place is well priced and has decent service. They’re getting a 1 star for food contents not specified on the menu and that I would definitely nix from my order. Mouse pooh is just not my thing.

Chips and salsa were delicious. The verde smothered burrito was good, a little different than what I was expecting. The service was wonderful our waitress did such a wonderful job & made it really enjoyable for us. I will be back to explore more of the menu!

The rating is a misconception, this place isn’t all that great. The food is very poor, poor in effort and quality. Imagine getting a three platter plate with sloppy joe meat in each and everything on that platter. Imagine the no flavor and the non authentic nature. Hey at least they have a waterfall glass décor, that was pleasant for the wait for the check I didn’t want to pay.

Love this place! Delicious food and they are super fast. Had my food on the table within 10 minutes of arriving. The only reason I don’t give 5 stars is because the waitress was not very friendly. Usually, they are perfect though!

I grew up going to La Frontera. After hearing negative things about their West Valley location, my mom suggested I try La Fountain. MUCH BETTER than la frontera’a west valley one. I always get their smothered burrito with cheese & onions. Add their chips & salsa = heaven!

Visiting with family and as is usually the case, time flies when you’re having fun and who has time to cook? One call to La Fountain and we picked up our dinner in. 15 minutes. Amazing!
Initially, I was a little skeptical about my Chile Verde smothered burrito because the sauce was reddish, not green. But what it lacked in Verde green, it made up with flavor. Yum, that gravy sauce hit the target. Three of us ordered the same thing and we used spoons to scrape up every bit of the gravy. The tortilla was fresh and soft and reminded me of my friend’s homemade tortillas.
So it’s no surprise that the restaurant was packed on a Friday night, with stacks of orders waiting for pickup. They got us taken care of promptly and it was only $ 47 for three bags of food that fed 6 hungry adults. Will make time to dine in next time I’m in town.

Super good food and really fresh!
They have pretty cheap prices but recently raised them.
If your looking for fresh authentic Mexican food this is for sure the place.
Only down fall is they took away the «punch cards» from us who eat there ALL the time!
I will continue to visit this location though cause the food quality

Love their Chili Verde burritos! We often go here and get take out and its great. Their prices have gone up but still worth it.

I was greeted by a hostess when I entered as to which I told her there was going to 8 people, and I needed a high chair. She seemed very annoyed that I needed a high chair or maybe she just hates her job? This is the 2^nd time I’ve had an encounter with her and she also seemed annoyed the first time.
The service with our waitress totally made up for it though. She was amazing tending to 8 people plus our 2 year old who spilled chocolate milk everywhere! Haha. The food was also amazing, as always. I got the smothered burrito with chicken and cheese. The portions are just perfect.

I love their daily specials. For a lunch, chips, drink, and tip 10 bucks. You can’t beat that. Plus it is good and filling. I usually get the Wednesday special… mind you that you can get any of daily special on any day of the week. Good customer service and nice décor. Plenty of room for groups or parties up to about 8 to 10.

I went here with the worst hangover I’ve ever had. In. My. Life. I’m not kidding. I had the shakes and a slight fever. It was so bad I haven’t drank since and I almost took myself to the hospital because of my blood sugar.
So I wasn’t expecting much from this experience. I needed complex carbs and chili verde, and I needed it fast and cheap.
They had a lunch special — smothered burrito with beans and rice for 6.99. PERFECT! Waitress was fast and efficient, food was molten lava hot and tasted like the blessed Virgin Mary in burrito form.
It was so much food I was able to pick at it all day at work until it was gone.
I was very satisfied with this experience and I will be back.

I would totally recommend this place! La fountain is a restaurant that serves Mexican food. They have daily specials at affordable and decent prices and portions are big. The menu is quite overwhelming because there are many different entrees to choose from. The staffs there are very friendly and out going the restaurant is clean.

It’s on the service is awesome and the staff as good. The food was less desirable it seemed the chef with all the flavor had the night off. It was very plentiful could not eat all of it. I’d probably look some where else next time I’m craving Mexican food.

I got what I classify is a good detector of a good Mexican food place. I got the enchilada plate and I was thoroughly impressed. Very good food. The only wierd thing for me were their chips. Not sure why they have the seasoning on them. I could go without that.

Very large portions of food. Kid’s meals would be for adults, however their food is very good! The service not that great…
They definitely need TV’s! They have a large dining area, but it just seems too plain. This place would do better if they had TV’s especially showing the World Cup or any mainstream sports.

The décor is wonderful, including a glass waterfall divider and hand painted murals. We’ve been several times and have been happy with the food and service. Today’s lunch was no exception. After a disappointing Chile Verde burrito from a different establishment last week, the one here today more than satisfied.
