This is a small but, very informative museum about the history and events that makes up Yellowstone. There are artifacts. There are 3 videos in separate areas about the fires of 1988, the earthquake of 1959 and the changes brought about by the addition of hotels and the automobile. There is also a small gift shop. Worth a stop.

This place is awesome. We got a late start in the morning, so we got there right when it opened. It talks about both the history of the park, but also the evolution of the town of West Yellowstone and its role as a gateway into the park. The building itself served a way station for travelers coming to West Yellowstone by train and bus. There are a few interactive displays for kids, but this is a small museum.
