Excellent service and desert. Arrabiata wasn’t all that spicy but chicken breast was nicely seasoned. Tiramisu was a little to much whipped cream, but a good value. Stopped in to get out of southbound trafic on the turnpike around 5:30.

Came here with a group of friends on Labor Day. Kudos for being open on Labor Day; we went to a couple of other places first and they were closed. The service here was spectacular. Our waiter was friendly, patient, and took time answer all of our questions. We had a couple of hits and a couple of misses. The bread before the meal was delicious. The basket had several different types of bread, all of which were great. The veal meatballs were not so good. They were tough, burnt, and not very flavorful. The lasagna was good. Large portion and savory. Their soft drinks were bad. Flat Flat Flat. The ambiance and décor is what I think a trattoria should be, wait staff is nice, but the food is hit or miss so make sure you know what you’re getting and that it has been recommended by someone who’s had it before.

I’ve always enjoyed their Tom Yam Goong! The only thing is when you order for pick up, they’ll tell you 15 – 20 mins… prepare to wait at least 30 mins.

Well. This place use to have a great menu and setup. Now it just totally is horrible. I use to be a fan but not anymore. They will make anything you want on and off the menu, but it comes out terrible. I mean worst then their menu items, which I can understand but don’t say you can make something when you can’t! It just makes your place look horrible! Very spacious and can hold large groups, you don’t feel pushed on top of each table which is a star itself. Service is pretty slow. You need to remind them 100% of what you want, if you need another drink and so on. This is all I can say. not too impressed. Pass.

Papa Razzi WAS one of my favorite restaurants. Why I said«WAS»??? Apparently Papa Razzi was changed to «Dilettos». Yup. That’s right. Dilettos. They even have new page for Dilettos on Unilocal. But I guess people like me are still check in as Papa Razzi. We didn’t notice when I pulled up to the restaurant by car.(night time) We sat down and look around, we felt something different. I guess some pictures of celebrity were gone. We received menu which stated«Papa Razzi». My daughter noticed her kids menu /coloring paper got smaller. When waiter mention, this restaurant was changed, we finally realized why we felt different in this restaurant. But they are still serving same menu as Papa Razzi(menu still said«Papa Razzi») We didn’t care if we could have our favorite dishes as same before/ But the dishes were not same anymore. We were very disappointed. We loved this place because it was spacious and we never had to wait. Food was always good. Atmosphere was a bit upscale. I mean they served with no paper napkins. Yes, with cloth napkins. Though, it was kids friendly. I would have given 4-star for this joint if it were same. But we felt like food was mediocre at best. So I would give 3-star, because manager was nice enough to give replacement glass of fresh opened bottle of Red Zinfandel because it tasted funny. When we left restaurant, we noticed that they took down outside sign. No More Papa Razzi… I am not sure we will ever come back again.

Had a party here. Service was not so good — had to ask 3 different servers for something on multiple occasions to get what we needed. Brought one of my guests(child) a side of ketchup that was already half empty with crumbs in it! Spoke with manager about that and the spotty service and they didn’t seem to care — no «sorry» or comp in any way. Aside from the lobster ravioli, the food was mediocre. Several steaks not cooked to order, potatoes burnt, the kids fries burnt and soggy(hard to mess up French fries!!). This was the 3rd party we have had here(last in 2010) and this was a big disappointment. Quality has taken a nose dive. Will never eat here again.

Mediocre Appetizer: 1)Calamari. –Highly overcooked, mostly japalenos and other assorted peppers fried. The little actual seafood in the dish was EXTREMELY small and fried beyond recognition Entrees: 1)Risotto of the day(mushrooms with chicken) –extremely dry chicken, insufficient levels of parmesan. A very«okay» dish for $ 19 2) Linguine w/shrimp, mussels and squid. –Terrible seafood. Good marinara sauce. Not worth $ 22, small portion of pasta, clearly frozen very low grade seafood. Dessert: 1) American cheesecake w/strawberry sauce. –Frozen strawberry on top, a half a teaspoon of sauce. Extremely small piece of cheesecake. Service Great courteous waiter Ambience Nice interior, well thought out and put together. Seemed clean Would I visit again? Not a chance. The food is probably the worse I’ve ever had and the prices were substantial for cuisine that’s on par with a $ 9 Chinese buffet serving mystery meat. There’s significantly better Italian food in the immediate area at a fraction of the cost.

Good points: — spacious! great for big groups like mine — servers very friendly and hostesses very accommodating to my groups bday needs — bread delicious. They are generous with the butter — they have this spicy hot olive oil on the table that actually tastes great with the bread — noise volume dimished by sq footage Bad points –my food not tasty(my tilapia tasted fishy, I couldn’t even cut my broccoli with a butter knife, potatoes weren’t crispy they were burnt) — my friends food not tasty(poked at a salmon dish, risotto, pasta) Not a bad place. Might try experimenting with another dish but not rushing to return!

One word: Uninspired My wife and I show up on Saturday night for a peaceful dinner. It was around 8:00 and we waited about 15 minutes for a table, not that bad considering we didn’t have reservations. I love the restaurant décor, love the huge fireplace off to the left when you walk in. The one thing that struck us when we looked around us that the tend to cater to large groups in the restaurant area. We were seated next to a group of 22 and just over the middle room divider was another group of 20. Our plans for a peaceful dinner were off for the night. I should note that when we checked in at the hostess station was saw a lot of open tables but were told«until the large table gets there food you’re just going to be waiting at your table» This was my first warning sign for the night. We did eventually get our table. It was a large booth by a front window. Loved the large table, very much appreciated. Looking out the front window I see the crayon artwork on the windows left by a prior patron. Really, is this Denny’s? C’mon. First order of business, two glasses of Pinot Grigio. Wrong! As the waiter tells me, I’m sorry we are all out of that selection. Really. Second warning for me. Thankfully he suggests I just settle for a more expensive selection, gee thanks I was thinking I wasn’t spending enough.(Sorry for the sarcasm) I’m ready for the main course, the Saturday special is Osso Buco, my absolute favorite! Wrong again, after I order the waiter comes back to the table to tell me «sorry sir we’re out of Osso Buco» On the fly I decide to order the Bistecca Alla Brace, an aged 14oz. New York Strip. My wife ordered the Pollo Alla Valostana, a grilled chicken breast with prosciutto, fontina, wild mushrooms and Marsala. The Pollo dish was very good my wife was pleased, only a couple of burned potatoes on the plate spoiled the overall appearance. As for the Bistecca, I ordered it Medium hoping for a little pink in the middle. It was completely raw in the middle, I can tolerate a medium rare dish but we’re talking raw here. C’mon. The food arrived«auction-style» from someone who wasn’t our waiter, «Who’s got the Bistecca?» We started the meal with the Mozzarella Con procuttio, fresh mozzarella wrapped in procuttio with balsamic peppers. This dish was very tasty. On to dessert! We decided to share their signature dish, the Frutta Al Forno. It’s a bowl of warm fruit compote with ice cream on top. This was the highlight of the night! We also ordered cappuccinos but they arrive just as we finished our dessert. Would have appreciated better timing. Midway through our meal the table of 22 that was seated next to us left. Suddenly it was peaceful! Unfortunately they must be short staffed because the dirty dishes sat on the table the rest of our time there. Not exactly a pleasant sight. And so we bring this experience to an end. We gladly hand over the gift card given to us 6 months ago by a close friend. The manger comes back to tell us that this restaurant is now privately owned and has no way of knowing the value of the gift card. Luckily we had a receipt with the gift card and were able to use it. Service was mediocre. Really not impressed with this place. To many other options nearby for us. This is not on our«must return» list.

I didn’t dine in the restaurant, I went to a political fund raising event in the back party room. the place: they have valet or park it yourself in the back. party room was big! there’s was probably about 12 tables set up with some room for more. they have a stage with a small sunken dance floor in front. a nice size bar in the back of the room, and a small coat check. the restroom was very clean but they only had one stall for woman, no bueno! they also have tons of Marilyn Monroe pics hung all over the place, which you know i loved! Waiters are okay, but for some reason they looked confused most of the time. they also keep coming to my table asking if they can take the plates and cups, constantly. Warning coat check doesn’t give tickets and at the end of the night we had to get our coats ourselves(I’m not being extra complaining about having to get my coat myself), i think this is a recipe for disaster. when my honey questioned the coat check girl, she said«its just u guys in here» …it was a fund raiser… not a family party… so we didn’t know everyone there. and even if it was a family party, people bring guest with them. think they need to get it together with the coat check. Otherwise, place was spacious and nice and clean. the food: we were served buffet style, 4 tables, 3 on one side and one lonely table on the other side. I thought the food was pretty good. When we first got there they had cocktail shrimp and bruchetta as appetizers. the bruchetta had fresh mozzarella in it… delish. Dinner is served… eggplant parm, baked zitti, turkey(which had a strip of fat going around it that could have been easily removed), calamari, scallops wrapped in bacon, and garlic cheesy bread. I love italian food, so i thought it was quite yummy, my honey on the other hand, was not satisfied. my honey claims to be a calamari expert, and said it was not up to par. I missed some type of chicken, but after all it was a fundraiser so i understand! waiters were friendly and brought drinks to our table in a timely manner. I really liked the party room and think its great for bday, baby shower and other types of partys. After going for this event, i would def visit the restaurant. pretty good location, not far from the highway.

We stopped in for drinks… the bartender seemed nice but was unsure of how to make certain drinks and would leave for awhile and come back with something… but not the actual drink. Not sure what the girls were ordering that was so confusing. Oh well. We did think it was odd she was eating sushi and leaving it on the bar during her shift… do they not get a lunch break where she can actually eat? She then put her uneaten portion back into the wine fridge. She said they could not serve drinks with a stir stick because it is against the law since people get drunk too fast that way. Is that true? So she gave us all big water straws… confused.

Nice ambience. Very good food. Not great, but very good. On the menu: The pink sangria is really good. The personal pizzas are one of the better item choices on the menu. I had a veal parmigiana that was simply okay. The pricing is pretty reasonable. Very good place to eat for groups…

So, I loved the Papa Razzi I used to frequent in Boston. Would grub it up there often and really enjoyed it all– the atmosphere, the food, the wait staff. I was excited to check this one out for a number of reasons: 1. it is really closet our house 2. they have gluten free pasta 3. I have fond memories of papa razzi! We went in on a rainy Sunday night to find the place dead, I wasn’t too surprised given the reviews here, and I was a little hesitant in general given the reviews. The good: I still like the atmosphere and our waitress was really nice the gluten free pasta was good for me– it was great that we literally were home within a ½ hour. The bad: $ 19.99 for a plate of veggie rissotto that was undercooked and way underseasoned. My sauce was eh, nothing really wow or special about it– and they make it to order? Will I be back, probably– but hopefully someone else is paying because it didn’t feel good to spend that much on a mediocre meal.

Crappy forgettable Italian food. It’s funny, when they sit you down they give you this whole spiel of how they make everything from scratch. Sounds good right? So our first question is, well then the pasta’s home-ade, right? Nope. Alright, then. Food varies from being bland to being too salty. I want to write a review of this place, but it really isn’t worth it. Everything tastes mass produced and aims to be inoffensive, but in doing so, it takes all taste out of it. My Sam Oktoberfest was decent at least. Skip this place.

No wait on a saturday night? Sign me up. The place is huge, with portions to match. The breadsticks and foccacia bread to start are both really good. The chicken parmesan is humungous, and very tasty. The pasta with the sausage and carmellized onions is suprisingly filling, despite the plate looking small. Great place for lunch, and for dinner if you don’t want to brave the 45 minute wait time elsewhere.

My most recent visit here was a result of Vincent’ Clam Bar being way overpacked for a Friday night dinner. When we got to Papa Razzi, we were delightfully surprised to get seated right away. It feels like a well-kept secret. The other thing you’ll notice right away when you walk in is sort of an old-school italian restaurant, from the décor to the servers, where the waiters are in black and white and have heavy long island-italian accents. I felt that we were pretty well taken care of by our server. Only once or twice we were looking for her and she wasn’t around, but it wasn’t enough to put us off the place. I thoroughly enjoyed my Porcini Tortellini dish. If you like mushrooms and garlic, this is totally the dish for you. It was just so packed with flavor, I didn’t really expect my mushrooms to be so yummy! Even my friends were picking off my plate from time to time :) All-in-all, if you find yourself in the area and Vincent’s and Café Baci are too crowded, Papa Razzi is worth turning to for a casual dining experience and yummy pasta dishes.

It’s okay — not great, not terrible. It’s a great place to go with groups as they have a «grande» version of their dishes that are great for sharing. After polling everyone at our table it seems like pasta is the way to go. I had the Osso Bucco and while a couple pieces were great, a couple were very dry — odd to have such a varying taste on the same plate. The risotto was a bit undercooked and bland. The calamari appetizer was pretty good, I liked the addition of the fried peppers and the salads were tasty. Service was just okay — he tried too hard and came over as very annoying. It got to the point where we didn’t want to order dessert because we didn’t want to see the waiter again.

Found this place right after a night of shopping with friends, the look from the outside looked good and it’s in a nice location. The hostes seated us, the place is HUGE, picture frames of all hollywood stars all over the place(not sure if they are real but I doubt it). Then she handed us a big menu with a Large list of food they were offering. A lot of them are pretty regular entress compare to other italian places. My friend and I decided to get today’s specials(they have a list of what they offer for today’s specials). Service is great, everything went pretty smooth, Everything on the menu is really good and prices are reasonable.(i’ve been there 5 times already since November of 2008). NOW… The dessert part, I reccomend to share it with at least 3 people because is HUGE!!!, First time I ordered the Chocolate Fudge with Vanilla Ice cream, when the waitress brought the Dessert, The cup is HUGE and the ice cream was as big as a PINT of Haggen dazz! It was really good, but was not able to finish it(sigh…) I reccomend this place for dates, large group of people and Special occasions like reunions, family reunions or parties since the place is pretty big and very clean. I also went during Brunch and the prices are even better for a Large portion, they had another list of brunch specials(under 15 bucks you can get a LOTOF good food). I’m very impress with the place and food, I thought it was going to rip me off, but I enjoyed it!
