Maggie Cooks

They recently catered a party I had for 50 people. The food was excellent. Their menu has lots of mouth-​watering choices. The gourmet sandwiches were fantastic, the smoked salmon delicious, and the goat cheeses and fig tarts were a huge success. Also, be sure to get the French macaroons; they were the best macaroons I’ve ever had. Everyone at the party asked who my caterer was.
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because they don’t deliver the food, you have to pick it up. This also wouldn’t have been a big deal, but the party started at 2, and the food wasn’t finished until 12:30 the day of. I had to send someone to pick up the food and miss the Baptism. Then when we got back to the house, I had to quickly figure out what everything was, and organize it for my hungry waiting guests.
This may not be the norm. They were extremely busy that particular week. They were lovely after the party, even offering to come pick up the beautiful ceramic platters they provided for the food. So long answer shortened, would I use them again? Absolutely.

Get meals to go quite often. Every meal is better than the next! This Easter, Maggie Cooks made our family’s brunch. Everything was wonderful. The scones and muffins, egg casserole, and the chicken tenders were the best we’ve had in ages… When I choose to not cook, which is often, Maggie Cooks always has a great meal to serve. Everything is home cooked with great loving touches. The french macroons are to die for!!! I had to be off my feet for months after surgery a while ago, and Maggie Cooks made all our dinners. Each was healthy, wholesome, and delicious. We never had to think about our dinners. Both Jane and Maggie are accommodating, warm, professional, and caring. Never had a bad meal… Give them a try-​you won’t be sorry!!!

Food was amazing! All made to order with fresh, homemade ingredients. I had a pan roasted chicken sandwich with prosciutto on ciabatta. It was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had. Bread was perfectly done for the sandwich. My wife had a southwestern chicken wrap and she said it was delicious as well. As a side, we both had an orzo salad that was great too!
They do catering as well and wish we had used them for a party we had over the holidays!
Will definitely be back!

We heart Maggie Cooks. We regularly pick up a take out dinner when we need help filling in our weekday meals and can’t cook and don’t want to order same old. Maggie Cooks sends an email at the beginning of each week (and posts on their website) with a list of planned lunches and dinners for each day of the week.
The meals are always wholesome yet interesting and taste deliciously homemade and fresh — not at all like local restaurant delivery. The portions are generous and they always include all the food groups — e.g. you aren’t just ordering steak, you get the appropriate sides too and a salad and a delicious «sweet bite» gratis to finish it off.
They are always accommodating of my requests — e.g. Thai Chicken lettuce wraps for my husband and then a vegetarian-​friendly version of that for me. Jane deals with my texts to coordinate a schedule for pick up — helping me out when I’m getting back from work late and she’ll even come out to the car so my kids don’t have to get out.
We have also ordered from their various holiday catering menus, which were a huge help to take pressure off cooking the entire meal but still tasting/​seeming homemade — from apps to dessert a hit. :)

Maggie Cooks made the desserts for my wedding and my guests LOVED them all. Their macarons are to DIE for — banana is my absolute favorite but you really can’t go wrong. Love, love, love Maggie Cooks!

If you are looking for a home cooked, gourmet meal for take out– this is your place. The food is absolutely delicious. Maggie is a skilled chef with imaginative, well executed dinners. We get take out from here once a week, because lets face it– sometimes you just don’t have time to cook. Maggie Cooks is a nice break from the usual takeout you get from a restaurant because it’s literally a home cooked, healthy meal. Each week, the menu is posted on
and features a different meal, including sides, for each night of the week (no weekends). She even puts in a complimentary dessert. There is also take out for lunch– gourmet sandwiches, etc. This is a must try!!!

For Passover I ordered food for 22 guests from Maggie Cooks. The matzo ball soup, appetizers, main courses, side dishes and desserts were outstanding! My guests raved about the food. I can’t pick a favorite dish because everything was delicious. I will return for my next event and I will recommend Maggie Cooks to my friends.

I was in the area and happened to past this little place and decided to stop. What I learned as I entered Maggie Cooks was that they do Fine Catering and lucky for me also happen to serve lunch. I ordered the Veggie Sandwich. I have to say that I eat ALOT of Veggie Sandwiches but have never had anything as amazing as this. It had grilled eggplant, roasted tomatoes, deep dark delicious balsamic onions, pesto and cheese. I cannot describe this delicious combination in words… you really just need to try it yourself. For dessert I indulged in the French Mararons… an absolute must try. They have every flavor imaginable. I had Pumpkin Pie, Pistacio and a little Devil’s Food (or at least it tasted like devils food). They were the best I ever had. Soft flavorful middles with a light crisp on the outside. perfection. This place is really a hidden gem.

Had the turkey meatloaf and it was fabulous, then I decided to try the chicken cachatori (I know I did not spell that right) and it was even more fabulous!
One word to describe her cooking… OMG!

This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I purchased a Groupon before going which included 2 sandwiches, 2 sides, and 2 desserts. Everything was really fresh and tasty. I got the fried chicken sandwich and he got the southwestern chicken wrap and we went halfsies. The raspberry squares we got for dessert were really good too. Will definitely go back next time we are in town.

Never disappointed, everything is yummy. Stopped in for lunch last week and had the meatloaf sandwich. Let’s just say I will be back for more meatloaf!

Maggie Cooks catered our daughters engagement cocktail party on Jan 11, 2014 for 70 guests. The recommended menu, the presentation and the taste was beyond delicious. We are still getting calls from our guests that are raving about the food. Food is plentiful. The servers they recommended were experienced and professional. I loved the experience. I just had to show up for my own party!! Very elegant and upscale. Highly, highly recommend.
