Giving McDonald’s a bad Unilocal review seems like I’m either picking on an easy target, or my expectations are set unrealistically high for fast-​food. However, let me just say that even when expectations are reasonably lowered to fast-​food levels, this McDonald’s still seems to come up short. I go through their drive-​thru a lot (too much), and I’ve been shorted or have been given the wrong order way too many times. Maybe it’s the non-​English-​speaking lady who takes your money at drive-​up window #1. Or, maybe it’s the 4000+ construction workers who converge on this poor restaurant every day at noon, ruining the experience for all of us. Or, maybe it’s just poor management. Either way, I drive away from this restaurant a little dumber every day, just from having patronized it.

I work nearby and frequent this location. Service is okay. Breakfast time is the best time to visit this location. After 10pm don’t bother! On more than one occasion I’ve had to sit in the drive thru for close to half an hour! In that amount of time I could have driven the 15 minute drive home and made myself a sandwich.
Then this morning I witnessed an employee blatantly lie to a large group of customers. It was a baseball team from out of state who came to eat lunch at 10:15. The employee informed the man in charge of the group that they were serving breakfast until 11am. He then turned to his group and said «I guess we can go to Dairy Queen then.» To which the employee quickly replied that the DQ didn’t open until 11. I’ve been to this store enough times to know that this employee knew better. The DQ has been opening at 10am for quite some time. I know I wasn’t the one being lied to, but I feel this sort of dishonesty has left a bad taste in my mouth as far as this McDonald’s is concerned.

I can’t believe I’m writing a review for McDonalds! But since it’s new in my neighborhood I feel encouraged. I’ve eaten here a few times already. Hello… french fry snob! It’s actually been really good! Food is always fresh and the service is quick and very friendly. The inside restaurant is very cool and I’m sure it will be popular with sports attendees.

New McDonalds to replace the old one that was in the Shell gas station. Right next to TB. 24 hour drive thru.
Nice new store smells good, people all smiles. Get ready for the soccer weekend!
