This is a new, small, but up and coming brewery. I went on a hot Sunday afternoon and found a seat in the small tap room. I ordered a flight of 5 different beers. All were really good, but I found the Aria, Bliss and L’Euphoria to be the ones I enjoyed the most. When a seat at the bar came open I moved there so I could talk to the brewer and bartender. They were really awesome folks. This is a really good brewery!

Love going to Five Threads! The beer really is great, no matter what style you’re into, chances are you will something you like. On top of that, the people are super friendly and they let us bring the dog in if its not too crowded.

GREAT local brewery with a large selection of craft beers. The owners are very knowledgeable and are always willing to answer any questions. We went home with a growler of the Serenity. A must try!

My fiancé and I are huge brewery fans, so when we saw the reviews for Five Threads, we had to check it out! This place definitely doesn’t disappoint. The small brewery feel and the beers are top notch(there are currently 2 silver medal winners on tap that are AMAZING). Best of all though is the service! We got a full explanation of the ins and outs of the flight we ordered, pub snacks, and best of all they let us bring our puppy. When she knocked over her water bowl, they didn’t bat an eye and cleaned it up without concern. Afterwards, one of the brewers went to a pet store and bought a rubber bottomed pet water bowl so that other dogs wouldn’t have the same issue. All I can say is «WOW!!» We will definitely be back. If you’re looking for a chill vibe with delicious beers and outstanding service, look no further than Five Threads! Five threads, more like five stars.

Great little hang out. The atmosphere is welcoming and inviting. The service is amazing, you feel like you want to spend the day there. They do not serve food but you are welcome to bring your own. Oh and the beer is fabulous too!

Heard about this brewery by the owners of Westlake Brewing. Just had to come check this place it with the girlfriend. This place was a great little whole in the wall. When we got there every seat was taken. People were sitting on nice wood bench chairs and tales planning games the brewery provided for free. We went right up and looked at there big list of brews. Might be a small place but huge brew list. Do not let the size deter you at all. Every time we go to a new brewery we always order a flight. They had a great promotion that«the fifth taster is free». WINNING! We ended up ordering 6 total after I saw the«Jessica». Jessica is a must order if it’s on the brew list. That brew was just amazing. My two other favorites were the Slainte(Irish Stout) and Winter Bliss. The Winter Bliss was a great blend of two beers. It was a battle with the girlfriend on drinking these and who got them. Definitely be back here again.

What a great place, and great beer! Loved the service, this place is a gem. So glad to see so many new Craft Beer spots popping up in the Conejo Valley… will definitely revisit on my next SoCal trip!

This place is an amazing secret of Westlake Village. On one hand I want everyone to know about it but on the other I like having it to myself. Great beers, great service, great food from Merlins.

Decent small tap room, great beers, expansive selection, friendly and comfortable. If you want food they partner with a local place a few doors down(didn’t try) . The beers were really good and varying quite a bit which made for a more unique offering. The staff was very friendly and conversational.

Been here 5 or 6 times and was starting to enjoy the place. Today, some bonehead brings in his untrained dog. Seriously? I like dogs and kids, but neither of them should be running around while I am trying to enjoy a beer at the bar. I won’t be back.

I did the taster and loved all that I tried. I loved their Porter the best. Located in a business park near the corner of Lindero Canyon and Via Colinas– hidden away from the street. It’s small inside with a few tables and bar area. They also have games you can play– I love this. This appears to be the new trend in the Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks area breweries popping up. I can’t complain of all the ones I have tried — it’s kind of nice if one place is too crowded to just head over to the next. I do wonder if they will let us bring in some In & Out– not sure I’ll have to ask next time. It’s nice to have something to munch on with that beer that would be the only reason I’d probably head over to one of the«food» included breweries. This place is the perfect stop while waiting for a movie to start at one of the nearby theaters — it’s quick… plus their prices are decent too.

I’m an Eastside LA resident, and my usual«go-to» breweries are Golden Road and Eagle Rock Brewing. But I recently started a new job in Woodland Hills and decided that it was also the perfect opportunity to try out some different brewers. I Unilocaled and found Five Threads. I’m SO glad I did! I’ve only been twice so far, but I’ve already fallen in love with the place. The location is a small room with tables(some bar-height, some regular height), chairs, and a bar in front, and the brewing equipment visible in the back. It is hidden a little bit off the road – turn into the driveway where you see white string lights hung. It has a totally laid-back vibe, completely unpretentious. There’s a nice variety of board games and magazines to entertain. Free WiFi is available. Local art hangs on the walls. I went only for growler-fills, but it looks like they had a small menu of pub food, and I believe they have food trucks on the weekends, too. My favorite things about this place: 1. The beer! I’ve tasted Red and Aria(both red rye IPAs, both delicious) and gone home with growler fills of the Winter White(an IPA with Spruce Tips) and Bliss(a double IPA). Winter White is my favorite so far… hoppy but not terribly bitter with a fresh, crisp feel and taste. 2. The growlers! These folks are awesome and accommodating for your growler fills. They filled my blank growler for just a small fee($ 2.50) to rebrand it using their Five Thread stickers. And they will place their stickers on a strip of black plastic that they wrap around the bottle, so you don’t have to gunk up your nails trying to peel the stickers off later. My second time visiting, I bought a couple of their Five Threads growlers. They use metal vessels instead of glass and have 32 and 64 ounce sizes. They seem to be of really good quality and help your beer to stay fizzy for longer. Cracked mine open on Friday night, drank a pint on Saturday, and when I opened it on Sunday, it still«popped» and emitted a little white steam like when you open an icy cold bottle! For a special indulgence, you can invest in double-walled growlers that supposedly will keep your ale cold for hours. 3. The people! So super-nice!!! I was greeted warmly when I arrived each time. The staff seem genuinely happy you are there and make an effort to ask your name and get to know you and your beer preferences a bit. They will answer any questions that you have about their beers and offer suggestions. They recognized me on my return visit and thanked me for coming back. They are so gracious that you feel truly appreciated. No bad things to report… my experience was nothing but positive. If you love good local beer, hit this place up for sure! I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Wow, great brewery. Spent a good amount of time talking to the guy running the bar and he seemed very genuine. He even recommended the best breweries to check out on our trip. The beer was fantastic. Not a bad one that I recall.

So we came here at the end of our night and did not try a lot, but what we did taste was outstanding… and I love anything on Nitro! Tim, one of the owners, is really friendly and makes everyone feel so welcome. And Lyne was so attentive and knowledgable on all things beer. Impressive. The space is small, but intimate and comfortable. I really like what they have done. It reminds me of San Diego and all the cool, charming micro breweries and tasting rooms they have down there, especially in the North Park area. Places like this are long overdue in LA, and this is such a welcome addition to the area. Really looking forward to coming back and tasting more… I can totally see this as a regular watering hole!

Stopped by after dinner on a date night. It was the second night of FT being open, and we took a seat right at the end of the bar. Tim welcomed us immediately and introduced himself. A really friendly vibe from beginning to end. After chatting a bit about the place, we ordered a tasting flight of the beers available: a Porter, IPA, Belgian ale, and a Hefeweizen. Everything was, as expected, awesome. So happy to have place like this in Westlake. Can’t wait to come back soon!

Beer was great I even tried there porter and I’m not normally a porter person, they had a red iPa that was amazing I ended up chatting with the one of the co owners he was a great guy. The beer was so good I ended up going home with two growlers one of the red the other bliss… They have this great deal with the restaurant a few doors down were you can get some bar food and enjoy your beer. I will be back and fill up my growlers and send many people here. Thanks for great service and great beer. –Justin
