This place had really good service but they were very busy when I came so they could not attend to us that much but the service was good. The food is always good here. One of the most popular places for com tam I believe

Food is good but the restaurant needs serious upgrade. Dirty and aged furniture. If you go for the food it is okay. But if you go for a good atmosphere. Don’t. You will be disappointed.

This place has okay food. The old man working here is an asswipe. Con di. He pushed my little brother, he was not even in his way. Then yelled at the lady at the next table. It’s a vietnamese business in oc, so yeah its usually not managed well. It’s bad for their business and should be fixed. I’m not coming here again, horrible customer service. Never had this problem before here.

Not bad! They give a ton of rice with your food and a good amount of meat, so it’ll probably fill you up. I have to be honest and say that everyone in my family prefers the tau hu ky and cha from thanh better though. I have no opinion on the thit or suon. The nem nuong was pretty bland though imo, and my sister concurs. They were super nice to help me bring all the food to my car for me, since I bought 9 plates to go. All in all, I think this place is alright. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back.

Food was delicious. Very nice service. Price is great. The portion is large. I ordered #8 and couldn’t finish half. Highly recommend this place for rice dishes.

The Com Tam at this place is just amazing! I love the broken rice, the food items, the broth, the fish sauce, everything! Portions are HUGE. 7 piece and 10 piece plates! Food is seasoned perfectly and tastes so good. I used to eat at Com Tam Thanh but I find this place to serve superior food. Although the restaurant is small, and not situated in the best place, its food makes up for the other factors. The price is very affordable. $ 10.50 for the 7 item plate and I believe $ 14 for the 10 item plate(not really sure about the 10 item) I would definitely go here to eat Com Tam. And bring friends to surprise them with the huge portions!

It’s not a fancy place. I’m sure most people prefer to order to-go since the restaurant looks like it can use a face lift but the«com tam(broken rice)» is still the best here. So many choices of sides and options and at such reasonable prices. Everything tastes fresh and their«nuoc mam(fish sauce» is just right. I don’t usually eat rice but when I do, this is where I like to go.

I love this place! The food is super GOooOooD! I just can’t rave enough as food just gets better over the years! I can pick too many items as selections into my cm tm dish! Only downside is the tightness and older looking version. However I’ve known of this place for more than 10+ years and it still holds true to its food candor in terms of deliciousness!

My mother wanted a rice dish. So this place came to my mind. Good thing they’re open on Christmas Day. Most Asian joints don’t close during holidays anyways. Com Tam was on point just like my last visit. I’d recommend getting 7 kinds rice dish since there’s good variety of sides Grilled pork, egg rolls, egg cake, nem nuong, two kinds of fried fish cake, and Bi(shredded pork) Enough to split into two portions !

Yes. The forks and spoons that sit on the table have excrement on them. That’s a given. But just wipe off and enjoy da foot! Do ma! Four items to choose from a huge list of mystery meats on top of your broken rice. Get the grilled pork, egg rolls, shrimp, and crispy chicken. I think that’s the combo for all time. Their short rib is a bit shit rib. Not the star for sure. Stick with the pig if you want grilled meat here. Now, others complain about parking, roaches and the plaza it’s in. For sure all that shit sucks, and is real. But ya gotta do da suffer for da goot braken rai dit!

Broken rice 10 item This spot is the best tasting broken rice dish joint ever. 13.99 $ for 10 types of meat, broken rice, and soup. Two can easily be full filled for a tasty dinner or lunch. The other locations are underwhelmed compared to this fine establishment in bolsa.

Nice clean fast Vietnamese food. No complaints here. Yummy spring rolls for $ 3 and dishes starting at $ 6.50. Great prices and good food. Nothing mind blowing but a big thumbs up. Be aware that they don’t really speak English here and once your food is served they probably won’t come by until you ask for the check. Will be back.

This place has the best broken rice in OC overall in price, quality and quantity. With the broken rice order, they give you this soup with actual meat and tendon in it that was cooked in the pressure cooker(it is placed next to the cashier counter). It’s not just some cheap soup with some onion in it like other places. It’s delicious. I love it that they offer the 7 toppings or 10 toppings options for broken rice dishes so you can get plenty of toppings with such affordable prices. I doubt that this place is clean, but it’s the same for all other restaurants in the area. I try not to think about cleanliness when I eat here. Cash only. Overall good customer service. I haven’t met one rude waiter or waitress yet.

This is the second time that Ive eaten here. I’ve enjoyed both times. My husband is part Vietnamese, and I come here with his side of the family. I honestly don’t know if I would be able to go on my own. The place is a little family owned joint, and nobody speaks any english. My mother in law does all the ordering when we go to this restaurant. The décor is nothing special, like I said, its a hole in the wall. Both times that I went, I ordered Bun Tom Thit Nuong. I have to say, its some of the best I’ve ever had. Everything is fresh and delicious. Members of my family ordered various dishes, and we were all happy. We will keep coming here. Its awesome for family dinner!!!

Back in July 2013, I came to eat here one evening with my family after driving around LA. Then two years later in early August, we decided to come back. Everything looks the same as I remembered it except we came here in the morning and it was crowded! The scenery isn’t the best out of other restaurants that I’ve been to but it’s decent and the food is very well worth the amount that you pay for! If you’re ever in the area, stop by and don’t judge the look of it before you even get to try what they have to offer.

wow! this place is amazing… the amount of food you get for the price you pay is simply unbeatable. we were in the area running errands for the upcoming nuptials and came across this highly rated Unilocal listing… and the fact that their«big protein» plates were the most popular mentions(and we all know how much i LOVE protein), i knew i had to stop in. it’s located in a VERY vietnamese dense plaza which doesnt have the most appealing or welcoming store front, and unless you frequent the area, you probably would never even know its here unless you Unilocal it. but dont let that deter you from taking a visit here. also, remember to bring cash! when dining at these little mom and pop asian restaurants, always bring cash(i dont think i need to explain why). my fiancé and i both ordered the 7 meats plate which comes with a healthy portion of broken rice, steamed cabbage and your 7 meats and costs only $ 10.99. or you can choose the 10 meats plate for $ 13.99. OR if you are very picky about the types of meats you want, you can pick and choose at various prices depending on quantity of meats and the quality of meats. because i’m a very indecisive eater, i didnt want to pick my own so the standard 7 meats plate was perfect for me. the plate also comes with a small bowl of chicken broth(super delish!). we also ordered a two piece beef spring roll as appetizer because we’ve never had it before. my fiancé devoured his entire plate of food, while i, as hungry as i was, surprisingly did not finish even though i only had a small portion of the rice. we came on a saturday afternoon so there was no crowd, just a handful of diners at the time. but from reading the other reviews, i can imagine this place filling up. this place is definitely the place to go to satisfy your vietnamese rice meal craving!

California definitely has the best asian food! Fiancé chose this spot and I’m glad he did! This place was beyond pack and we had to wait for about 20 minutes. There wasn’t enough room for our group so they broke us into two tables. The restaurant was pretty small and a little untidy. We ordered three com tam special at our table and it came with 9 different types of meat.(4 of us) We didn’t realize how big the portion was! One plate could feed about three people. And we ordered three! We ended throwing away most of it because we were flying back to Texas and didn’t want to take it. The food was pretty good. The meat was flavorful. The egg rolls were nice and crunchy. The egg cha tasted like home. One complaint was that their was a bug in my sisters food but they were nice and made her a new one. The food and price made up for it! A plate was about $ 14 which is super cheap! Definitely will be back!

I came here around 8am to grab a bite to eat right before riding on the infamous Xe Do Hoang. I ordered a broken rice plate with 4 items ‘com tam: suon nuong, suon Bo dai Han, tau huu ky, and cha’ all that for a measly 8 bucks. Portions were big. I also tried their passion fruit soda which was delicious. They used syrup and club soda mix. My gf got the soybean milk and I believe it is freshly made. Customer service was excellent.

I used to like this place. It’s changed. I ordered the same dish as usual– the 10 item Com Tam to share. They give less egg rolls, and less pork. It came with this gross battered fish, that was chewy, and not well coated. Everything was coated in cornstarch, including the egg roll. I was not pleased with the changes. Service is still bad. Parking is still bad. There are other Com Tam places in the area. I’d rather go to them.
