Visited 5÷16÷16 and 5÷17÷16 from San Antonio, TX. Don’t let the«Mall» environment fool you. All the dishes I ordered were just short of perfection. The Beef Kaldereta, Pork Sinigang, Whole Fried Bangus, Binagoongan Fried Rice, and Turon was just downright awesome!!! They would have had 5 stars, but they didn’t have any Biko or Ube Ice Cream for the Halo-halo on 5÷16÷16. Now if they had Taho, that would have given them 5 stars as well.(On 5÷17÷16, they had Biko. thumbs up!) When I come back to Maryland, this will definitely be a stop on my trip along with the other D.C. sites.

Pretty bad food. I had purchased a discount coupon for this place, not having had Filipino food for some time. My wife and I went for an early Friday dinner and restaurant was virtually empty. She ordered a drink, which she said wasn’t good. We had lumpia, rendang, and grilled vegetables. Lumpia was definitely unimpressive and beef in rendang was impossible to cut through with fork(no knives provided) and not very tasty. Will definitely never return.

We stumbled across this quiet restaurant and decided to try it. The lumpia were fresh, hot, and tasty, with a nicely zingy vinegar dipping sauce. Pancit bihon was a well-balanced combination of flavors that were delightful. A fried rice dish was slightly bland in comparison, but still held its own. Although the place was rather empty(on a Tuesday evening, not too surprising), the service was attentive and the waiter was very friendly as well as helpful. Excellent food will bring us back again.

So, I have a new obsession to Filipino cuisine. The food is deliciously seasoned and I always come back for more. Lumpia Pansit ATBP has THEBEST beef lumpia, Pansit Palabok(Which comes with rice noodles, shrimp, smoked fish sauce, boiled eggs, chicharones, shrimp and chopped green onions) and chicken adobo. YUM! The service is always fast and friendly, and the portions are HUGE for the price you pay. All in all, it’s a solid Filipino restaurant. The wonderful service and huge portions of delicious food earns this place 5 stars!

Just ate here for the first time and really enjoyed our meals. It was a little difficult finding them in the mall, but that’s more because the mall is a pain to navigate. The restaurant itself is really nice and it’s right by a parking deck next to the JC Penny. We chose not to do the buffet and we’re really glad we did. The portions are really good and most meals are about $ 8 – 10. The staff is really friendly and my wife spoke Tagalog with them. If you’re already in the mall It’s a great place to eat at here!

The 2 stars is for the service. I popped in, super excited for Filipino food, to order pancit and lumpia… Something that I figured they would have ready to go. Well, the hostess informed me that there was a very large party there… Great. I just wanted a single order of pancit and a single order of limpia. Well, she informed me that it would take 1.5 hours… Why? Why can’t I just have some of the lumpia and pancit you already made? I know you have extra back there. So I left really disappointed.

We decided to try this when they first opened for their lunch buffet, and it was meh. So I never went back until recently. It’s located in Wheaton Mall. We first went on a Thursday, but they informed us that their lunch buffet had changed to weekend only, Friday-Sunday. They had a lunch special, and it came with lumpia, pancit bihon, beef kaldereta, and biko. It was a good amount of food, but it was kinda bland to me. I’m pretty hesitant to go to Filipino restaurants since it’s like, maybe I should just cook this at home, but you know, it’s convenient. The place is a little more expensive than usual Filipino places that I go to, but they were decent. They took a long time to bring out the food, and one of my coworkers ordered something to-go as well and that took forever. So, we decided to go back the next week on a Friday to try their lunch buffet. I had a better experience this time rather than their sit-down menu, which is strange. Shouldn’t the made-to-order food taste better than the food at a buffet? But I guess since there was more selection, I was hopeful in finding at least one entrée I liked lol. The food was decent, you get what you pay for. I would probably only go here if one of my coworkers really wanted to go here for lunch, otherwise, it’s semi-far from work.

It does’nt taste like Filipino food. They put something different taste on the crispy pata. Grilled boneless chicken thigh is uncooked. Service is very bad. They always say«i’ll talk to the manager». We ordered 2 pancit palabok, after almost an hour 1 palabok is served. After 10 minutes we asked for the other palabok they say they run out of noodles. I have a lot kore to say but i’d rather not to say it. Hire real filipino cook. Bring the real Filipino food.

Tried Filipino food for the first time the other day. It was delicious. My sister and I both went for their lunch special, which was affordable. The food was yummy and the halo halo was sooooo good! I definitely would want to try their food during their buffet. Highly recommended!

Been here a few times to the Wheaton Mall location. If you are looking for something that is delish and tasty, order Beef Rendang! Great customer service and a very clean restaurant. There was also a lunch buffet setup which had a lot of food to help any appetite at a very reasonable price. Will have to try on my next visit which will definitely be very soon.

I’ve brought my colleague and my parents here. It’s best to go here during lunch buffet. The lumpia is crispy and it hits the spot. There’s plenty of space and it’s a clean operation. I had the menudo and crispy lechon. It’s definitely not going to be a Bad Saint, but it’s great if you need your Filipino food fix.

We decided to celebrate Miss Universe winning with Filipino food, lol. The restaurant is in the mall. Service is really nice but super slow and there weren’t really any other customers… The food was pretty good. It redeemed my last experience of Filipino food. We ordered: Beef and Pork Lumpias — delicious and a crispy. Has a lot of spices in the meat for flavor. Cho’s chicken wings — tasted no spices. Just plain fried chicken wings with a side of ranch Rendang — full of flavor. Tad spicy for me bc I’m a sissy. Beef was tender. I hate when curry is watered down. This place is nice and saucy. Crispy Pork belly — very crispy. Meat was tender. Comes with two sauces: a sweet mustardy one, and a vinegary one. Pork Pansit Behon — cooked well but not enough flavor… Needed sriracha or something… Tofu fries — just pieces of fried tofu. Taste was better in the beef curry sauce or any of the other sauces. I would try this place again. They also have a lunch buffet for $ 10.99!

I so wanted to give this place a 5 star rating. As a Filipina I know what Filipino food should taste like. I try not to be bias or compare it to my mom’s cooking, cause we filipinos know, nothing ever tastes as good as our mom’s homemade Filipino dishes. I took my American husband here for dinner one night. The décor was cute with some Filipino decorations you would expect. The staff were very attentive. The food however did not do the Filipino cuisine justice. We both had the sisig, I had pork he had chicken. Neither was as good as what my uncle Dan makes and he’s a white man. The egg rolls were ok, very greasy. We tried the lecheflan which also was just okay. The food was highly priced too. I’m not sure if they were trying to make it fancy but our bill was not a reflection on the quality of quantity of food we received. If you want good hearty Filipino food go see a Filipino mom or the very least go to Filipino Mart in Rockville off of Hungerford Rd.

Much bigger than their Gaithersburg location. At least 3x bigger. There is ample spacious seating. More space means larger area for food. The lunch buffet was delicious and at a good price. Much of the classic dishes were available: caldereta, menudo, pansit, Kare Kare, fried lumpia, fried rice, and even crispy lechon. The lechon was absolutely delicious. The pork was not fatty and not dry either and the skin was of course super crispy. There was an assortment of soups as well including my favorite, sinigeng. There is also a fresh lumpia bar as well which I did not try because I was already so full. They also had deserts and fruits. Anyways, if you have a craving for Filipino food roust want to try it. You will enjoy this restaurant.

As a filipina myself, I’m a full supporter of filipino restaurants but that also means that I get picky with filipino food. This restaurant is spacious(so no wait), and the staff is extra friendly. The food is good and worth the trip if you don’t have it at home. The lumpia, menudo, and adobo were tasty, but the bangus(milkfish) was by far my favorite dish. It is served on top of the skin, so it still has the fresh fish feel, but the meat was deboned and so flavorful in every bite.

I think this place has great potential, but I don’t think it’s quite there yet. For the most part, it’s hard for anyone to dislike Filipino food. Everything is savory and fried(for the most part). Food. Food was good, but nothing spectacular. I was able to try quite a few dishes so below are just some of my notes from my meal. Pansit palabok was really eggy, which I wasn’t expecting. The kare kare(oxtail) was pretty tender, but I wasn’t in love with the texture of the sauce(probably because I’m not a fan of beans). Lechon was pretty standard. The sinigang soup had too much vinegar for my taste and I didn’t end up finishing it. Shrimp paste fried rice definitely did not have enough shrimp paste. Garlic fried rice is delectable, as expected. Chicken adobo was good, but I wanted more seasoning. Sisig was good, as usual, and had a hint of spice. I probably could’ve opted for something spicier. Sizzling bangus was pretty good – essentially a fried fish. I had never had milkfish before, but it’s good. Not fishy. In addition, the middle is just yummy and fatty belly. Service. I think the wait staff is fairly young. It seemed like this was our waiter’s first job so it took some time for him to realize that we hadn’t received menus after 15 minutes of being seated or the bill after 15 minutes after the table was cleared. People are right that the service could use some work, but everyone was very pleasant. It’s a bit disappointing that the restaurant was pretty empty on a Friday night. Filipino food deserves some recognition! More people should try it even though the food isn’t the best that it could be. Note: There was karaōke the Friday that I had dinner. I’m not sure if that’s a weekly thing, but it lightens up the mood.

This place is great — authentic Filipino food, friendly service, generous portions, reasonable prices and ample seating. The crispy pork is fantastic — tender meat surrounded by crispy skin(make sure to ask for the liver sauce). There are very limited vegetarian options here, which is another sign of its authenticity. The waitress brought out a free vegetarian appetizer, which was a nice surprise.

Came here for early dinner and the place was somewhat empty. Stood at the front for 2 minutes thinking if the place is opened or not. Ok service, we have to ask for water refill. We had beef lumpia, garlic fried rice and chicken sisig all for $ 35(including tip) — yikes! How is this place going to survive with this type of price especially when there is a food court upstairs? Beef lumpia was delicious but pricey; for $ 4 you get 2 skinny lumpias. I love garlic but after eating garlic fried rice, it tasted i was eating raw garlic. The chicken sisig either taste like pork, it has this gamey meat consistency that it is hard to explain. Both entrees were too salty(and garlic-y) that we had to keep getting water refills. I will be back to try their buffet. Definitely, not for dinner.

If you follow me on the computer box, you might know that Filipino food is quickly becoming one of my favorite cuisines. I mean, what is there not to like about bold flavored, sometimes spicy, most of the time vinegary, stewed meats with white rice. Before I even started exploring Filipino restaurants in the MD Burbs, I was introduced to Chicken Adobo by a friend of mine who grew up spending a good deal of time in a Filipino household. Wait, so you’re telling me that it’s basically soy sauce and vinegar. Sign me up! OK, so let’s get to this place. + Brand New + Buffet style for lunch(I’m not 100 percent sure about dinner) + Beautifully designed, spacious, and at least a hundred seats If it was societally acceptable, I might eat here every day. It’s about 11 bucks for an all you can eat Filipino buffet. Calm down… it will still be there tomorrow! Stand out dishes include the Chicken Adobo, Lumpia were delicious, and truthfully my favorite was their eggplant dish. They also had this DE-licious ground meat and tomato based dish that had veggies in it. I mean… man. The one thing that I wasn’t a HUGE fan of is «Fresh Lumpia» which is a version of the lumpia that is rolled in a thin cold crêpe with a filling of vegetables(I’m pretty sure it included jicama and carrot). That was pretty much the only thing that I would pass on when I go next time. Seeing as I ate about 8 dishes, that’s about 90 percent success rate. The owners and chef are very very kind too. They came over to the table and struck up a conversation with me and my guest. Such a great locally owned small business! OH! Educational Note! ATBP: stands for At Iba Pa which is Filipino for«Etc.» Lump and Pansit are both dishes. So the name is Lumpia, Pansit, etc. :) The more you know #Rainbow

Just like Tita’s kitchen… I think the most difficult part of Filipino food is the fact that it’s a comfort food. You eat it when you go home, have family gatherings, and the like. So many places have tried to make it «luxury» or «fine dining,» but the reality is — it’s the kind of food you can only really get from home. This place really tastes like home. I had the pancit, adobo, and all the lumpia. I can honestly say, it taste as though my Aunt made it… but in a restaurant! The San Miguel is an excellent touch. It’s very hard to come by and such a Philippine staple! I’ll be back for the grand opening!
