I love FD! They have awesome smoothies and great iced coffee — I’d definitely stop back and get another one! They have great customer service too!

I do not like this place at all. The three experiences I had here were less than average. First time, I ordered a turkey sandwich and the guy wasn’t listening and din’t put lettuce or tomato. Fine, people make mistakes. The second time I went my egg and cheese wrap was so small I ate it in two bites and I was charged a pretty penny for it. The third time which is the last time, I went in and got a SMALL container of mac and cheese and TWO pieces of chicken. NO DRINK. NOTHING ELSE. It was $ 7.48. I don’t know where they came up with the price because they didn’t weigh or anything. You can tell the owners are just money hungry. Well, they will NEVER see my money again. For the record, the food isn’t even that good.

I am very disappointed in the service I received at the Fair Deal. I went in and attempted to buy a granola bar with a twenty dollar bill, and when I handed it to the woman behind the counter she opened the register and told me she had no singles while patting and empty spot in the cash drawer. When I offered to use my debit card I was refused.
I was so hungry that I decided to just get a fruit smoothie because the price was approximately $ 5 and she’d be able to give me $ 5 bills as change for the $ 20. When she rings me up at the next register (the original was in use by author customer at that point) the total was $ 5.48. Rather than waiving the $ 0.48 to maintain her façade of not having change, she pulls out a single and then walks three feet to the safe and pulls out a STACK of singles. I asked her where the singles came from and why she didn’t grab them before when she said she didn’t have change when I wanted the granola bar, she seemed to pretend that she didn’t know what I was asking. I’d already sipped from the smoothie so I didn’t leave it on the counter, but I left feeling angry and very cheated. They’ll never see any of my money again and I hope this helps people avoid a similar situation.

Very rare gem where the owners are completely hands on and greet all their customers by name. Their warm hospitality touches every dish, made of quality ingredients and freshness. They have a fairly good lunch selection, including a hot buffet, sandwiches, and salads. A display case houses an impresive cake assortment, and there’s a section with packaged nuts and trail mixes to grab on the go. We have ordered breakfast here several times, and the vegetable omelet is great. Try the BBQ chicken or the rotisserie. Both are fabulous. Only down side is the dining room. The room is dingy and the lighting is depressing. On a lunch hour, it’s nice to eat in, but the atmosphere deteres us some days.

The staff are not just courteous and helpful, they are aware of who YOU are. Whenever I walk in, I’m greeted by my name and so is EVERYONE else. It’s really cool to see. Mrs. C is one of the sweetest people you could ever hope to know.
The food is good. Just good. They keep a solid variety of hot foods ready for lunchtime customers and they have a pretty deep made to order menu. The made to order salad option is great too. In the summer, they have a great BBQ menu that you can get fresh from the grill every day.
Another reviewer mentioned that the pictures are not of Fair Deal. THEY ARE! Most people don’t know that there is an event space on the second floor.
Fair Deal is a great bang for the buck.

Pretty average place.
The food is cooked to order, so it usually takes a little longer than expected to get your food, but they’re very good about it when you ask your food to be made a certain way. The prices are okay, and the food is pretty good. There are usually seats available when Ive been there, and they’re pretty good people working there. It is what it is. If you’re just looking to get some fresh cooked food, and go, it’s not bad.

I have no idea what the picture is on this site, but it’s certainly not the fair deal deli in white plains. From the outside this place looks like a dump and it looks even worse on the inside. Went inside once, saw two roaches walking around on the floor and walked right out. All the food look old and as if it were sitting outside for a while. Steer clear of this place.

Daily lunch specials are great! I haven’t tried anything I didn’t like. The staff is really friendly, the prices are really reasonable, and the food and variety are great. The place doesn’t look like much from the outside, and isn’t fancy on the inside. Just good food, reasonable prices, and friendly people.

I don’t want to sound cheesy, but this place really is a fair deal! Where else can you buy a large coffee for $ 2 flat? I love stopping by into Fair Deal in the morning before work, and saying hi to the cheerful employees who seem to love working there. They have a lot to choose from, but I have only gotten a bagel and a breakfast sandwich there. It’s almost impossible to screw up a bagel. Mine was average. Their breakfast sandwich, however, was cooked to perfection. A number of my colleagues swear by the place for lunch. If you’re looking for a quick bite and you’re on Mamaroneck Avenue, give this mom and pop deli your business.

What a find! I needed to provide breakfast for 38 linemen while working storm restoration in Westchester, NY after hurricane Irene. I called the evening before with a large order of breakfast sandwiches. They came in early to get them ready to pick up at 6:30 am. They were extremely accommodating, friendly and prompt. I was a big hit with the crews. The food and the coffee were excellent! Thanks Mrs. C!
