This is your place if you want a special olive oil and balsamic dressing! Oh so good! The taste is long lasting! The balsamic is fresh, so flavorful! Will come back for sure!

I love the products, but… You walk in the door and are treated like roadkill by vultures that haven’t eaten in a month. I have been in sales on many different levels and to have people basically crowd you out of an establishment is very annoying and uncomforable. That said, I like the idea of fancy pants oils and vinagers and will put up with some inept sales people. You can sample everything but at the cost of being pitched at by rookie Amway salespeople. I still bought many gifts here and will probably go back.

I have a new appreciation for a fine olive oil and balsamic vinegar after my visit today. Who knew that both can be coupled with coffee, lemon, rosemary, etc. The bright shiny vats of olive oil and balsamic are grouped in a way to help you explore and taste each in order to find what you like. I noticed that some employees are less knowledgable than others. Not sure if it’s because there are seasonal workers to fill in the gaps, but working with someone with a plethora of knowledge makes it all the better. Don’t be afraid of the prices. Yes, they are high, but your buds will thank you later. Plus, this stuff lasts forever depending on how much you use. Be sure to grab a pourer at check-out for $ 4.50. It makes it all the easier when you’re working it in the kitchen. They have three locations so it’s easy to stop-in while running errands. My favorite is to buy at the Milwaukee Public Market then purchase some bread from another vendor and bust it out at Wine Thief over a glass or two) of wine. Super good time and way to appreciate all that Milwaukee has to offer.

Last year, my aunt gave me some Persian lime oil and lemon vinegar as a gift from Oro Di Oliva and it was amazing. I stopped in one afternoon to pick up some gifts for friends. Right away, the woman working there welcomed me and got samples ready for me to try. She mixed some oils and vinegars together and made some amazing combinations: jalapeño oil with strawberry vinegar, espresso vinegar with lemon oil, OMG. I also tried their 18 year(!) aged balsamic and cranberry pear vinegars straight up and they were heavenly. I wanted to buy everything, but I just stuck to my gifts for now. Definitely hit this place up if you’re looking for gifts or a treat for yourself. They have sales sometimes and cards with recipe ideas to get you all set.

Who knew oils and vinegars could be so absolutely delicious? I feel like I’ve been living under a rock my whole life, missing out on just how good these concotions are truly meant to be. A Groupon broght me in, but it’s safe to say I will be back and happily paying full price in the future. The woman working there was extremely knowledgable in helping me find different varieties to try. In the end, I went with the sampler pack because there was no way I could walk out with only one or two flavors, they are all just that great. Next time though, I’m not leaving without the gremolata oil, out of the several I tried, it was by far the best. So if you find yourself wandering around Whitefish Bay(or anywhere within 50 miles, let’s say) with a few moments to spare, stop in here and just try some. It’ll be the highlight of your day.
