Man I love this place. Lately they’ve starting giving away ½jars of various spices free no purchase necessary which is awesome. I still buy whatever spices I need too but it’s so cool to get to try a substantial amount of special new spices. They’re always coming out with new blends too. My favorite might be Trinidad. It’s a citrus blend that’s fantastic on meats.
Everyone who works there is always extremely nice and very helpful. It’s always a peaceful atmosphere inside
They also have recipe cards located around the store. I always grab them for later! They change our seasonally too.

Friendly employees, easy parking, convenient location and all the things I expect from a Penzey’s, so this place gets all the thumbs up.
In general, Penzey’s employees are great about checking in with you so you know they’re there if you need them, but also giving you space to wander around and sniff and choose what you want. It’s a good mix of available but not pushy.
I parked, dashed in for what I needed and dashed out. Simple, clean and easy peasy. Wish all my errands could be this good.
Make sure you sign up for their mailing list — they have coupons for free things all the time!

Penzey has an incredible selection of not only spices, but also soup bases, hot coco mixes, extracts, and probably a few other items I’m missing. Point is, they have so much and it’s well worth a visit. Whenever I go in looking for a particular spice, I always leave with at least one more!
The store itself is clean and laid out well. Sections and items are all clearly labeled. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable if you do need assistance. As mentioned in some other reviews, be sure to sign up for their catalogs, which includes a coupon for a free spice! Sometimes they’re the large size, sometimes the smaller size, depending on which spice it is.
Lastly, it’s so nice there’s a parking lot behind Penzy. Sometimes parking on Silver Spring can be a pain, but not here!

With the warm weather finally upon us, it is time to get my barbecue cleaned off and prepare for some frequent grilling once again. Of course that means using spices
and for me Penzey’s is the only place to go.
We’ve been coming here since it opened and if you can’t find it here or get the excellent help you need, then you are out of luck. Make sure you sign-​up for the
quarterly catalogs, there is almost always a free item coupon enclosed.
Move over Gordon Ramsey!

Great place to buy quality spices & herbs. The only place to get the coveted Fox Point Seasoning, great for fish, chicken, eggs… I also like the fine ground dustless pepper, Northwoods seasoning, Vietnamese Extra Fancy Cinnamon & … They claim to have over 250 herbs & seasonings. The customer service in this store is phenomenal. I am always greeted & offered assistance when I walk in the door.
Pre-​assembled gift boxes are available, great gift for those who haven’t found Penzey’s yet.
Great prices for high quality products and they have so many different sizes to fit everyone’s needs.
Be sure to sign up for their magazine, you will get free coupons — usually a free jar of something from the store!
The new location is much bigger. But, parking can be an issue during peek hours. The public parking lot behind the store has a lot more congestion due to the closing of a 2’nd lot.

Although most of us don’t need bags of exotic spices, this is a great place to buy specialty spice mixes when you are cooking something special. Dry rubs for ribs, roasts, beer can chicken, etc. Summer is around the corner and it is grilling time! Pick up a new spice mix to take your grilling to a new level! The customer service in this store is absolutely perfect. I am always greeted when I walk in the door with an offer of assistance, but then given the freedom to wander and explore. Every spice has a sample jar to sniff. The staff has an uncanny ability to sense when you need more guidance. I always end up buying something special.
It would be cool if Penzey’s offered a few unusual grilling, baking, and cooking accessories to accompany the spices. Whitefish Bay really needs a store with these type of items.

I visited this store to find a gift for my dad’s birthday. Both employees were really friendly and greeted me right away. The store is nice and spacious. Everything is laid out really nicely, too. The gentleman there asked if he could help me find something in particular and what my dad liked (grilling? etc.). I said, «Salt.» I’m just like my dad. They didn’t have a huge selection, and actually have some salt-​free spices, which is great, but he helped me find some great spices.
I got four different salts to put in a gift box. The shallot salt in particular was not something I would choose on my own, but after the clerk’s recommendation I knew my dad would love it. Definitely take advantage of the employees’ knowledge! I would definitely go back again.

Love the new location! It is spacious and staff is really helpful with where to find certain spices as well as recommendations. For example, I love finding interesting spices to put on chicken and they recommended the «Northwoods» seasoning– it is fantastic!
Also, sign up for their magazine because you will get free coupons — usually a free jar of something at the store!
I will not buy spices anywhere else. Love you Penzey’s!
Hint: If you find something you like, hang on to the glass bottle and then buy in bulk. Saves you some cash!

I found that the store was opened when I got a coupon in the paper for a free sample. This location recently opened, this used to be the location on N. Port Washington Rd. in Glendale. The store is much bigger and there are more spices available you can also sample (sniff) the spices. They have gift boxes available, if you love to cook this is your store. Great prices for high quality products and they have so many different sizes to fit everyone’s needs. I highly recommend signing up for the catalog or pick up one in store (which comes with killer recipes).
